  2. CDC published new guidance stating the vaccinated can go maskless and no social distance, indoor or outdoor. Honestly, I think this tour is happening. Perhaps you’ll have to prove you’re vaccinated, but I am 100% fine with that. Let’s go!! Get in the Ring mf’er!

  3. CDC saying anyone who's vaccinated can return to non mask wearing at indoor gatherings. Hooray for being vaccinated!

  4. Ha yeah, I don't come here just for news about a new album. Would it be nice if it were to happen?! Of course! I have made some friends here and I like discussing music, shows and politics in the other sections. So I'm here to stay no matter what.

  5. Ya, he was referring to the Motley Crue Stadium Tour, which had a start date of June 19. GnR has a start date of July 13 in DC, where the mayor has announced concerts can proceed at full capacity beginning June 11. GnR shows are on, as of now. Changes to the dates are highly likely, but several shows CAN happen if you look at them individually.

  7. I seriously don’t expect any album till 2022. Other than that, we may receive a brand new Reddit appearance of the unrivalled manager, the one and only, who’ll provide some mighty interesting, mostly one-word answers. Brilliance as usual. Here’s a preview: “Things are in the works.” “Yes.” “No.” “Haven’t talked about that.” “We’ll see.” “Some people just complain all the time.” “WE have played in...” “Thanks.” “Move on.”

  8. Had my first shot of Pfizer three days ago - no side effects except an ache in my arm. Interesting survey about the EU: Living, working and COVID-19 (Update April 2021): Mental health and trust decline across EU as pandemic enters another year https://www.eurofound.europa.eu/publications/report/2021/living-working-and-covid-19-update-april-2021 About 25% of EU citizens say they won't get the vaccine.

  9. These 'fans' think they're doing it for Axl/TB, real fans love the stuff that Gibbo, Frans and others put out. The GNR Selects does more damage to the band than anything the fans have posted.

  11. I don't know if this has been posted or anything but I was on the Amazon Japan site and saw that there was a new version of Izzy's first album released on Dec 2020 which has remixes etc on it. Does anyone know anything about this? https://www.amazon.co.jp/-/en/dp/B08LNL4CNW/ref=ntt_mus_ep_dpi_1 Also, apologies if this is in the wrong section!

  12. Awesome, loved the first one - checking it out this weekend. I meant to message you before you recorded this and ask if you could get David's thoughts on what happened at the VMAs and what went down in Philly 02 - will definitely still listen though.

  15. Agree and i think Brian still sounds great on studio records such as power up. Ill be happy they just did new albums. The amount of money they already have they dont need to tour ever again.

  19. One of the biggest rock stations here in Germany just called it "unbelievable" how The Offspring could go 9 years without a new album. "Can you imagine that?!" Yes, yes I can.

  21. Ohio is holding a $5 million lottery for anyone who gets a shot. Not a bad idea. If it were me I would have tied the stimulus checks to getting vaccinated. $500 for the first one and $1500 for the second.

  22. The tour won't happen because Slash & Duff will expect an album release to coincide with a US tour, and Axl won't have an explanation as to why that can't happen. So I assume he's scrambling for reasons for cancel the tour behind the scenes.

  23. That upcoming Alex Ferguson movie is a tremendous watch. Highly recommend - it's out there currently for those who don't want to wait two weeks. I was surprised to know that Jim Leighton hasn't spoken to him since leaving United after being dropped for a number of calamities. Ferguson at one point branded him the best in Britain while at Aberdeen, but he was Roy Carroll before Roy Carroll at United.

  25. Frank Ferrer and Richard Fortus by far will tell you why they each have been in GNR longer than anyone else besides Axl even though his appearance is more enhanced now than during his classic era, that to me means the most - they've gotten the most mileage and produced the most unique showmanship and displays of writing potential its more than obvious that them two are the leaders of the band, guys that rejoined the band such as duff and slash are merely second fiddle furthermore, izzy and steve have zero recognition in the band even in their heyday, it doesn't even matter that they were big in Japan and had cartoons made of them richard and frank will always be remembered as the true original members the same could be even said about Dizzy!!

  27. As others have said - maybe because it offers a glimpse of what might have been. In other words, if the actual VMA performance was in the same class as the rehearsal is supposed to be, maybe that version of GnR could have been a legit commercial and artistic entity. Alas, with a few laboured breaths on a live, global TV show, Axl blew away any chance he had of this lineup gaining acceptance. Showbiz is a rough old game.

  28. I will never ever ever understand why people care about this.

  29. I mean, Axl and Slash are obviously the most recognized two members in the band’s entire history. As far as my own personal favorite duo within the band goes, I’d say Duff and Steven circa late 1986/ early 1987. Most people may not realize it, but AFD wouldn’t sound as good as it does if it weren’t for those two.

  33. I got news I'll be getting my first jab in less than two weeks and my send before the end of June Meanwhile everything is starting to open up again, but numbers are still pretty high. So I'm sitting it out until I'm fully vaccinated. Been like this for over a year now, I can keep this up for another month and a half. Vaccination seems to be going a lot faster now FINALLY! So let's hope most people get their first jab before the summer.

  35. Disappointed to hear this. Gibbo is a good Aussie bloke a real straightshooter. The small percentage of the fandom who do stuff like this are so fucking pathetic. They're toxic losers with undoubtedly sad empty lives. Miserable ghastly creatures who do no good to anyone, even themselves. Stupid and unnecessary.

  37. The song is a definite banger. I'm looking forward to hearing a new version with Duff and Slash. It just doesn't seem complete to me. As to why it was never released or played live? Why else? W. Axl Rose. A lot of GNR fans were looking forward to the Mexico 2020 show because it was supposed to be a new tour, not a continued version of the last tour. And there were promises of "new" stuff being added to the set list. Note: not new songs, per se, but changing up the set list. Then, of course, the leak of GNR rehearsing "Hard School." It got me pretty excited. Enough that I sat up and watched people's livestreams of the concert. It was supposed to be the start of something, but it was more so the last big arena show on earth. And I guess GNR decided to scrap playing anything new or different because of it. sigh

  38. I love Hard School, I think it's fucking brilliant. Still can't find out what the hell the guitars are doing during the verses, but it sounds awesome to me. Also love the intro as well as the short and simple guitar solo. Top Axl vocals too (yes, also the verses). So glad we have that recording, I'll never forget how it felt to hear it for the first time!
