  1. Playing a little fast and loose with the word "interesting", aren't ya?

  2. It will actually stretch over several successive forums. After MyGnr, there’ll be YourGnr, then TheirGnr, WhoseGnr, and finally TBsGnr, with this legendary thread having some 5,000 pages. Only then will we get a new single – "Hard School, drums +1 dB, no vox, rhythm guitar only, weird sub-bass reverb, wind howling outside the window". I’ll be a head in a jar by then, but am still looking forward to this!

  3. I'm in the Philly area & one of our local rock stations played "Hair of the Dog" ... I've never in my whole life heard a Spaghetti Incident song played on the radio ... After the song finished the DJ said "I know it's not off of a very popular album but we're hoping to hear their new album soon."

  4. Not technically "vinyl" which I know is most of the chatter on this thread, but did anyone hear about the mess up with the Motley Crue cassette box set for RSD... the idiots put a magnet in the packaging which is wiping all the cassettes!!! Seriously appalling QA control, and hilarious 😀

  5. I live in a very small town in some part of Argentina. Here, an underground radio plays "my world" at least twice a week..😂😂

  6. What a fucking song. Probably the only time you'll see someone pay homage to cunts from Fife. I'll need to give it a blast later.

  7. I once heard 'One In A Million' come up randomly on a jukebox in bar in about 2002 and nearly cause a riot as people kicked off so much! Needless to say, the barman turned it off and apologised to all the angry people!

  8. Funnily enough, it's only the second worst. The one in my village uses Axl's first "aaah" from the Slither chorus at Download 2018 as a fanfare

  9. The rarest I’ve ever heard was There Was A Time back in winter 2008 or 2009.

  10. I know everyone is assuming Axl and is going to dictate a new album and only ask Slash and Duff to rerecord parts or rewrite parts or songs he already has but I honestly think it will be much more of a collaborative effort. I think Axl doing Slither at the shows is evidence that he isn't the same as he was years ago, and he actually cares about the other guys and their input and work. Just my two cents.

  12. ''Grunge'' isn't a music genre. It's a term made up by a journalist, but all those so-called ''grunge'' bands sounded rather different, except for the obvious similarities.

  13. Added, guys. Feel free to suggest artists so we can get this thing going.

  15. Glad to hear it. I'm not, as I'm bored now of the same setlist and I think the band look bored too. I want some change, variety and energy and I hope it'll come at some point.

  16. This thread disappoints in true GnR style!

  17. WOW!!! What an amazing goal!!! Like from 50 yards or so Eeerr... against Scotland For them it was a huge embarrasment What the hell was the goalkeeper thinking? He left his place and he was somewhere else. When he tried to do something it was too late

  18. The official title of that song will actually be “Hard School, drums +1 dB, no vox, rhythm guitar only, weird sub-bass reverb, wind howling outside the window, and Silkworms drumbeat from TWAT.”

  21. My dad is and was a HUGE music buff his whole life. He had to constantly "upgrade" from each format to the next since the 50s. Well in the 80s, he was all about cassettes. He had THOUSANDS of them. (My dad has every song that ever hit the Billboard Hot 100....he was incredibly proud of that. Unfortunately, the invention of the internet has made that accomplishment pretty meaningless but it's possible he still has a few here and there that aren't on youtube.) Anyway, the point to all my rambling is that he had so many cassettes and was constantly taping and re-taping that he actually required a big ass electric magnet to instantly mass-erase tapes. I think the stupid thing is still in his garage. Of course kids today have no idea that magnets will wipe out a tape...most of them have never actually USED tapes!! (If you wanna hear some of my dad's rare shit, which I doubt, cause it's mostly doo wop, here's his site:) https://www.songsyoushouldhaveheard.com/spotlight-song

  25. Hopefully you’re right. Even though I still don’t think we’re ever gonna get anything, I’d rather wait a long time for a GREAT album then wait a short amount of time for just another decent one.

  26. That's pretty funny, and interesting. I liked the first two Sixx albums. The subsequent ones didn't jump out at me, but then again I don't recall listening to them much. Maybe I should give them a chance. I thought Bumble's Argentina song would have been great refined with GN'R and Axl on vocals. I remember when he would play it and say he wanted to do it with guns. Some of his lyrics are a tad corny though, but so is Scraped so it probably would have worked.

  27. For every concert ever, there's a thing called "reserve seats" that get released within a couple of days of the show. Sometimes it's on the day of the show but sometimes it's within a day or two. These reserve seats happen because the design of each venue is slightly different. So the venues are usually able to add more seating near the stage once they're sure of how the staging will fit into their particular venue. This happens with every concert ever, including shows supposedly sold out months in advance. Having said that, there is ZERO danger of any of these GN'R shows selling out. They may end up a "full capacity" by show time due to giveaways, discounted tickets and so on, but they absolutely will not sell out. So anyone who wants tickets will have no problem getting them right up til showtime in every city.

  28. I'm glad I didn't pick up that RATM live album at RSD, hearing very bad reviews/ poor sound quality.

  29. This was a really fun night. I live about an hour from Philly in the Lehigh Valley and I've seen so many concerts at the BB&T pavilion, honestly almost all my favorite artists. So seeing Axl on that stage just felt very right and special. He also sounded great that night and they had a good set. I'm really missing that place. Last time I was there was for Beck and Cage the Elephant August of 2019

  30. I was at show 4 or 5 honestly I can’t remember. But it was a very badass show. No one had seen Axl in almost 4 years. 2003, 2004, and 2005 were pretty hopeless days for GNR fans. I wasn’t sure if I would ever hear any of Chinese. Then the rolling stone article came in January 2006 where he confirmed Chinese was still happening. Then the leaks. Then Hammerstein. He should have gotten Chinese out for fall 2006. That was actually the best time other than 01 or 02. They played Riad at the 1/1/01 show in Vegas.

  31. Yeah. Not too often they come to my neck of the woods, either, and I'd happily go to a show and have a great time. It might not be GN'R in its prime but it is still part of a fun night out.

  32. "Why this is happening?".... We are on a GnR"FAN"forum, right? All the entitled critism about Axls voice, TB, lack of new music, etc. doesn't necessarily mean, that nobody on here won't go to a show ever again. Wouldn't it be a bit ridiculous for a FANforum, if there weren't at least a few, who are excited about seeing them live again btw ^ this !
