  1. I take that post back, that was a really good Selects! TWAT was fucking awesome! It makes such a difference when Slash bothers to learn the CD solos and plays them the way they sounded on the record instead of just playing some fast scales! And 2016 Axl was just really good.

  2. Tbh I don't think I'm ready to face this recent selects. I'm still recovering from the previous one

  4. Metallica post a riduclous ammount of great footage new and old for the fans.. Guns can't hold their jock in that department. Guns don't even have anyone that know how to mix the minimal amount of crap they put out.

  6. I care and they're not even coming here (Finland) 😂 I have way too many real life stuff to worry about than a setlist or who's 'fat' or wearing what. It's my favorite band playing, I will go if I can and have a good time seeing them, possibly for the last time ever.

  8. It gets to a point with Bucket, and Bumble also, where the shred just starts sounding like a turkey gobbling really fast. Someone pointed that out and now I can't unhear it.

  9. Axl was decent on it too, especially towards the end

  12. Not even a remote possibility of this having a grain of truth. They probably just synced the video off on spots. IF (biggest if I have ever given) this was gnr editing Axls voice they did an awful job in making him look good. To summarise, not a hope in hell 🤣

  14. Fingers crossed he makes his dad proud. I have a lot of faith in David. We've only seen glimpses and it appears Michael's doing a good job showing Tony's little mannerisms. We shall see.

  15. as much as i like seeing an adler proshot of my michelle, seems like he clould do with some practice with. metronome. There were some rather odd tempo fluctuations (that are entirely absent on the album versions)

  16. I wish Axl took signing lessons. Not a dis, just wish he had a coach to help him get back what he had.

  17. That's a highlight of the whole tour for sure. There's a few more of those... Estranged from Mexico City (night 2) comes to my mind.

  19. The last 2 have been pretty good, it's no surprise the best selects have been from 2016. My Michelle and TWAT were the highlights, it's great we finally got a pro-shot song with Steven. If they do a North America 2016 compilation, hopefully they include OTGM with Adler, and Patience from Glendale.

  20. TWAT sounded amazing! Best thing they've released since 1991! Axl needs to sit down more. He can have a power wheelchair if he still wants to move around.

  21. Good Mix….check Good footage….check Good performances….check Cant ask for much more than that - last couple of Selects have been pretty great IMO. Credit where credit is due….certainly seems like notes have been taken by someone over the criticisms. No coincidence it’s 2016 stuff that’s killer - based on the footage in this they have loads of good video in the can (some of the early videos were dodgy screen feed stuff). Probably being greedy now but some stuff from Dodger or more from Houston would be lovely jubbly. To be honest we are now at the point where we can cobble together a pretty sweet ‘soundtrack’ of the tour with great performances.

  22. fuck I hope not. Axl has released 15 new songs in 30 years. It would be 1 less new song for us to listen to. I think it needs to be all new material without bullshit reworkings or covers. Axl can always do that outside of an album if he really wants to.

  25. No it's not, he could've played all the AFD songs and YCBM easily with them. The best performance imo with him was the first one in Cincinnati. That's when we saw a glimpse of the past. He's sober now and was then also. There's absolutely nothing wrong with him that would prevent him from playing a few songs with them.

  26. Agreed, just looking at the maps on Ticketmaster, it looks like an absolute disaster. Ticket prices are way too high, there's no hope for new music, little to no promotion, most people expect the same show that they've done the last 5+ years, and there's still a lot of people out there who hate Axl. It was silly to book stadiums again. Even the arena shows are struggling. No matter where someone lives in this country, they could've seen them somewhere without traveling too far on one of the numerous legs on the last tour. Something new has to be thrown out there to get the casual fan to buy a ticket again. It's lunacy to continue to use TB as their management. I saw 19 shows last tour, and even on nights where Axl struggled a bit, the shows were good. I expect these to be good as well, but they've completely mishandled it. If there was any time they needed new music, it's now.

  28. Just came in the mail today .. Super excited to own this rare copy of my favorite album .. Does anybody on here have one of these? I'm tempted to open it (it's sealed) but also think it better to leave it be.

  30. Yeah, I've been curious on how much involvement Bootsy will have on the upcoming album as well. It would be a crime not to have a track with Bootsy laying down some bass. Yeah, that was a nice performance.

  31. Peter and Ace were big addicts in the beginning. Peter got so bad he couldn't play the drums at all. After Peter was fired, Ace got bad with the drinking and couldn't be on time or play live without fucking up. It's all in Paul's book. After the reunion tour, Peter and Ace went back to their old habits. Tommy Thayer who now is lead guitarist for KISS had to teach Peter and then Ace how to play the new songs. Peter got to be a little bitch with his drum playing and fucked up one of KISS's last shows. He was gone after that and so was Ace. I feel badly for Bruce Kubick. He was an awesome guitarist for KISS but didn't want to come back after the reunion tour with Peter and Ace. I've see KISS with Tommy and Eric now and my mom's did see the original band with Ace and Peter in 1977 and she said this KISS is the best one ever. If you get a chance to see the End of the Road tour, do go. KISS never disappoints their fans.

  33. The video last night was actually good. I liked the moment between Steven Adler and duff on during the song where they’re next to each other and Steven has a big smile on his face. Good good stuff.

  34. They could have done an EP years ago with new versions of CD, Better and 2 or 3 covers, that would have been kinda cool. Now, it would be tragic.

  35. Yup! Time is running out for our guys,, there always is the risk of them not being around for much longer. So get what you can get - which is mainly 2-3 good songs from Axl vocally each show and a very few setlist surprises here and there . Add the enjoyment of a live show and its surroundings and you can have a great night. But if they wont be able to offer more surprises (god forbid (good!) new songs!) and go on with the same/similar NITL shows they're doing since 4/2016....there isnt much motivation for die hards to see more shows. Good move for us is to watch and check the upcoming US tour on youtube and fan recordings closely and decide if this is worth the time, money and nerves to do multiple shows at all.

  36. Better's breakdown sounds fucking killer!!! Love it! And Slash's takes on Chinese's songs are Okay to me. Different from the record but i don't want him to play it like that so i'm cool with it

  38. So we have TWAT, Better, SCOM and YCBM in one video? Thats gonna sound like Disneyland, we‘ll get a proper Mickey fest…
    1 point
  39. Seriuously.. Even without having to release new music.... which isn't something even I care about from this lineup. They really could have made an awesome NITL release.. 2016 was a pretty exciting time.. They could have a made a best of collection while incorporating tons of fan footage before and during shows.. That kind of excitement for this band won't reach that level again.... Unless it is a AFD5 show... A Blu Ray release from the classic era would have been sick too.. With their money I am sure they could obtain some kick ass footage and shows and pretty them all up.. Like Argentina or something from the Appetite Tour.. Fuck they easily could have done Paris or the Ritz and remastered them with little or no effort.. They could have released a live album from the early days.. They were such a great live band and never released a real live album from the Appetite Era. Why not release the Marquee show? I am sure they have plenty of soundboard stuff.. Even gather all their Televison appearances and release that.. From late shows, award shows, farm aid and shit.. I know we have all seen it but having all that remastered is better than toy rings... Anyway, you are right.. Instead of anything worthy, these clowns release fake tattoos, Laundry bags and toy trucks...

  40. You could say you sound like a spouse that's fully accepted to being treated like a worthless piece of crap (maybe even started enjoying it too) that's only good enough to provide the spouse with more money. But hey, opinions are like assholes. I wish I was content enough to be happy with new products like toy trucks instead of new music. Would have made it easier to be a fan of Guns N' Roses as it now stands. To add to this post: I pre-ordered The Black Album box set. Very fair price for very well put together (unreleased) content. How much was that AFD box set again? Hahahaha, no thank you.

  41. I love Steven, but i don't think he is cut out for the rigorous touring that GNR does, and even if he was, he could only play half the set at best. Frank's not as good, but he plays well enough, knows the whole set and is reliable.

  42. Not 100% sure. Give him a call! Test drive a car and ask what if it comes with any music.
