  4. Fremont shows are a good time, it's free, and it's Adler playing a bunch of Guns songs. My question is - why is it even a question?

  5. I remain in disbelief at how much I like this song. I somehow seem to like it more with each listen.

  9. Really can’t imagine Angus and Malcolm wanting to work with someone with that kind of substance abuse history like Adler

  10. I’m of the opinion that when people talk about Axl not lying they’re not necessarily saying what he claims is actually true..I think they realize they’re dealing with a “unique” person who actually thinks what he’s saying is true..even if it’s ridiculous. I guess you could call this using your illusion or delusion to be even more precise. You’re right though, communication between them was obviously an issue. Add in yes people and hanger on types chirping in your ear and it doesn’t take long for professional/personal relationships to become fractured.

  11. Do you think KOHD is too long? Just wait for KOHD 2 to come out on the next album

  12. I don't know if I'm more in disbelief that I like the song (I'd honestly put it above what I consider some filler tracks from the old days), or that Guns actually released something. Old song or not, I didn't expect them to release fuck all. And then the hilarity of Slash and Duff having played on Silkworms as their first Guns N' Roses track since Sympathy. Good grief. The situation is bizarre on many levels and I think that's what I like best about it.

  16. I played KOHD the day my son was born. Last week we celebrated his 6th birthday and held a party - the kids were playing musical chairs just as it cut into the reggae section

  17. I interviewed Duff in 2009 and I asked him about this song. His mind was blank at first and I had to quote him some of the lyrics to remind him. He said the song was a tongue in cheek tribute to The Mentors. Basically he took the "cornshucker a real buttfucker" line from the Mentors and came up with those Mentors-style lyrics, so it's not really a cover. An additional interesting detail is then mentioned in his first book, as he says that right after he moved to L.A. he got a call from one of the Mentors (Sickie Wifebeater if I remember correctly), who asked him to join the band and he turned the offer down. Mentors had moved from Seattle to L.A. too at that point.

  20. It’s sad what it’s become. This was a great tune on the illusions tour. Anyone who caught it then knows what I mean. It was a real high point in the gig I was at. Slash’s solo was brilliant that day

  21. I think this happened most of the time. Miscommunication was probably the main reason for the break up.

  24. I have seen a him a few times with different lineups and it is always a good time... The singer is a complete nerd but he sounds great.. But to see Adler play Guns songs for free? Hell yeah man! Have a blast.

  26. Todd Kerns is playing bass for him tonight too, so that's another good reason to go. No offense to Tanya but Todd plays the GnR stuff better.

  30. Them bringing back Bad Obsession seems like a no-brainer, they played it at almost every show from 91-92 and Axl could still nail the vocals easily. Have Melissa play the harmonica.

  41. It's not, it just has the same title. if I remember correctly Duff improvised it on the spot, and Axl liked it so they recorded it

  42. Lol, Bucket & Robin's work on Shackler, Madagascar, TIL, 2001 The Blues (not SOD), & CD, prostitute, either together/individually, is amazing, if not spectacular. What work has Slash done with GnR other than Absurd/SOYL in the last 27yrs? With saying that, I love Slash and commercially he is Gnr guitarist, and just playing devil's advocate with your comment. And, Robin/bucket have played on the most important Gnr tracks in the last 27 years.
