Yep, it does take a few listens, but when it clicks, it clicks -

Perhaps is weirdly catchy. I've caught myself humming it sooo many times during this weekend. The demo sounded good, but it wasn't this catchy and I thought that the official version wouldn't be either, but here we are. (Well, maybe "addictive" is more descriptive than "catchy".) -
New record (Axl + AI)

Nah. Music doesn't need to be "perfect". I want to hear the wear and tear in singers' voices as they get older. -

This. Hard Skool is a fun ditty, but Perhaps hits you more in the heart. It sounds like a modern Illusions-type song, which is more in line with their progression, age and status these days. It's a song casuals can take seriously, which I think is a major reason why it's been so well recieved -

It's part of her job. Especially live. To make the band sound fuller without sticking out. -

Ghosts and new Guns N' Roses songs are basically the same thing. -

It was nice to hear the song again, but I don't get it why would they premier it on radio and not put an official version on their Youtube, Spotify etc right after that. Now all the news sites reporting this link those poor quality radio rips to their stories "Hear a snippet of the new Guns N' Roses song"... it's not 2006 anymore. You don't release songs like this in 2023 -

American radio stations really sound like... American radio stations. Feels like I'm playing GTA Vice City. -
It is not a hit song and the general public won't be swooning over it, but I think it isn't meant to be that kind of a song anyway To me it sounds almost like melancholic lounge music, something to listen on a shitty afternoon in an empty bar drinking your third whiskey It has a weird mood and I like it.

I realized that my neighbourhood bar, here in a medium sized city in Finland, has a jukebox that looks like those TouchTunes ones, so I decided to go for a coffee and see if it is a TouchTunes and if it does have Perhaps. I thought "no way, but at least I can get a cup of coffee". But there it was... Listened to it twice and recorded the second listen, though the sound quality of the recording turned out pretty poor. What's weird is that now the song appears to be gone. It was there 10 minutes ago, but now nothing. This fucking band This was pretty hilarious and fun, though. Not gonna lie. Took me back to 2006.

CD leftovers or all new songs
jekylhyde replied to Gunner Gilby's topic in GUNS N' ROSES - DISCUSSION & NEWS
Honestly I would want all new songs. It would feel more honest and real, I guess. But that won't happen, so leftovers will have to do. And I'm sure there's great songs there. -
Really douchey response from Nuno. But in a way I can kind of see where he is coming from. Sure, Slash can play all kinds of stuff really well and amazingly, but he will always sound like Slash. And in some situations that "Slashness" can be distracting or it can overpower something else in the song. And it's ironic, because if that's Nuno's argument or reasoning for what he said, then Fortus would probably be a better man for the job than Slash, because Fortus, the amazing guitarist that he is, can sound like a lot of things, because he doesn't have a recognizable signature sound like Slash has Different tools (Nuno being the biggest one here) for different jobs.

In my opinion, perfectionism is a bullshit term. There is no such thing as a perfectionist. You either tinker endlessly because you're insecure/indecisive or you complete your art and understand that being an artist is a long, ongoing, endless process, which means your work will never be "perfect". And I think with Axl it was a case of endless tinkering caused by insecurity and indecisiveness. He would've needed a good manager and a good producer, but more importantly he should've been ready and willing to trust them too.
