  1. Not a tune but I created a fake shortwave radio recording. A "numbers station" to be exact. I'll link to one as a frame of reference. Anyways, I did this without sampling. No going on to any sound effects websites. All from scratch using old ass Cool Edit Pro and Audacity. I plan on making more for a multimedia ARG project. Enjoy.

Legit numbers station (skip intro 24 seconds in)

Ok, that was the funniest shit I've heard in awhile.😄 But, I have to say Casey has a point.

Yeah he probably has a point but it's one of those things where you're laughing so hard at it that context means nothing. The track they used it on is called "U2." They ended up getting sued over it and any remaining physical copies were destroyed. It is a a perfect example of culturejamming.

Good ole Casey, I was just thinking about his show the other day. Wonder what he said about Guns when SCOM was topping the charts. It did go to number one I think?

Dude have you heard his Top 40 outtake where he is ranting and cussing up a storm? A experimental collage group called Negativland got a hold of it from a fan and used it in a track. Hilarious shit.

  4. As far as mainstream rock and pop goes, IMHO the 80's really were the dark ages for music. The whole 80's underground music scene was refreshing. Punk went back under the radar but still continued to evolve in a lot of different directions. But what doesn't get a lot of love, at least here, is industrial music. It is something that never went mainstream with the exception of Nine Inch Nails. I loved all of the Wax Trax stuff like early Ministry, My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult, Front 242, KMFDM, etc. I don't know if this might of interest to you @action but here is a great jump off point for industrial music. This album from 1987 (Skinny Puppy - Cleanse, Fold, And Manipulate) was my introduction and it sounds evil as fuck. Something that any shitty 80's try hard metal band tried to pose to be but couldn't pull it off without it being full of cringe.

EDIT: if that doesn't float your boat, as far as industrial goes, check this out. Back when Ministry was more synth pop than full on industrial.

  5. I don't think I ever went to a concert alone but than again I haven't been to a major draw show since the late 90's. I think the last of "that type" was seeing Atari Teenage Riot at the 9:30 Club in Washington DC, which I went alone. I was supposed to go along with somebody else but they flaked out last minute.

I didn’t know it existed until it was covered in the doc. Your friend might be in this! The original crew of artists are interviewed extensively. And yeah, long before it’s revealed he was grooming 14 year old R&S fans online, John K comes of as a titanic asshole.

He's not in the doc, as far as I'm aware. He would have told me if he was. What he told me was that John K was a taskmaster and hard to satisfy. As far as the grooming part goes, the evidence speaks for itself from the victims. It wasn't an open secret but he really didn't put in any effort in saying "I'm not a pedophile." John K likes younger girls and has admitted he does. But there is a difference between a younger girl in their early to mid 20's and a minor. John K likes more of one than the other.

Anyways here is a demo reel of his animations. Back in the day, primarily in middle school, he wrote a comic about me called "Farmer Jeff." I wish I still had the drawings/comics because it was fucking hilarious. He made me the butt of the joke every time
