The gate usually is closed which is why in the majority of the times the court tried to serve the papers they had to tape them to the gate. Just on the day it was the lady's turn to try and deliver them the gate was open (see Eduardo's statement).

Hmm, sounds like a Lebeis once again didn't do their job properly... :D

  2. Not that I really care, but how the hell do you have a half-mile property like this and still allow people to "trespass"? Don't they keep the gates closed? Or shouldn't there be two gates so that even if someone somehow breaches the first one (?), they should still be stopped by the second one, i.e. not be able to get anywhere close to the residents?
I mean, close the damn gate, man, especially if you're paid for it. I don't suppose someone literally tried to climb over it, right?

MAYBE Fernando was trying to avoid possibly pissing off Axl. If Axl was my Client, I'd be afraid to say something like, "Yes, Chinese Democracy 2  was supposed to be released in 2010 but Axl wasn't ready to release it in 2010 and I'm not sure Axl will EVER release it." I'd worry about the MASSIVE heat and flack I'd get from Axl for admitting that Axl was the reason Chinese Democracy 2 was never released. 😵‍💫 So I feel Fernando is playing it safe. 💡🤔

Of course, there’s no doubts this aspect is in play, but that doesn’t mean this idiocy is the only way it can be handled. (And if it was, there’d be no point in communicating at all in the first place.)

He said it during the voice chat on the War Room discord in May 2020 (the audio can be found on youtube - around 1:50:00 minute mark):

Fan: Someone in chat asked this question that I think is pretty interesting. There was a rumor that Chinese Democracy 2 was supposed to be released in 2010 and it got turned down by the label. What's the deal with that?

Fernando: That's fake. The label never turned down anything that Axl says “I want to put this out”.

Fan: There was no Chinese Democracy 2 that was supposed to come out in 2010?

Fernando: No, the label never turned down anything. Not saying…  The one thing I can tell you for sure is that label would never turn anything down that Axl creates. That kind of answers… I mean, it answers the question, right? Without me telling you something that I can't tell you.

Fan: You basically confirm that rumor is false.

Fernando: Yeah, rumor is way false. There's no way. It’s like, you know - and that was before even [?] came about. That was when Jimmy Iovine was still there.

    [...]

Fan: So what you just said about the label not turning down anything, so the reason we haven't get any music for 12 years is just because Axl wasn't interested on releasing anything?

Fernando: I can't comment on what Axl was willing or not willing to do. You know what I mean? It's up to him to do so. I'm just telling you that whatever you just said to me, it never happened. Because I know that that never happened.

Also earlier on Reddit (there being the usual Fernando), although that was about CD and the label in general:

Ha, whenever I come across anything this clown produces, it still manages to piss me off a little bit. He is a manager after all, isn’t he.
Like always. "No, I can’t tell you anything. What you guys are saying here is obviously absolutely ridiculous. No, the label couldn’t say 'no' to Axl, how would they dare! No, you’re wrong about everything. Can’t tell you anything, everything is to be kept super secret, even though it’s decades old. I do know anything and everything, how cool am I. But no, can’t talk about it, except that you losers are wrong, and Axl is a god. I know everything. Can’t tell you about any plans either, except that they're there and I naturally do know them all. Some people make so much shit up, and some are never satisfied, think they know stuff or can demand things. No, only I do, only I can.
Gotta go, new album in 6 months, yes, no, maybe."

Why do the chat then? What a fucking narcissistic prick.

  5. Nah, I believe shit is coming, it's just that Axl's sense of time is from a different solar system, apparently. I wonder what in the flying fuck he's doing when he's home for a year or so. Fucks (Beta-approved) groupies, feeds his animals, parties, polishes Eye On You for the 57th time, tosses used band-aids over the fence instead of wine bottles? God knows.

If (and big if) it's an autobiography, that would be something i'd love to read, but I'm not sure how 'open' it would be, given Axl's desire for privacy.

I can imagine it might be one of those ones where you don't really feel you know much more about the person after you've finished it.

I can't see him suddenly opening up on a massive scale.

Exactly, just the notion feels like the opposite of everything we've learned about this fella.

  7. I hope we won't get into yet another "the band can't release an album, because they are held back by contracts they signed decades ago" nonsense. I'm not a lawyer, but even if they did have a contract like that, having made half a billion only during 2016-17 would suggest they can buy themselves out of anything, right?
No, it's not contracts. It's you know who. :)

  8. Axl: But it is tough. Because I haven't figured out how to word things in a way that doesn't just look like I am being negative to everyone else or calling them a liar. You know, those were the first- Slash and I hadn't talked in 19 years and when we did talk I was like: "dude you wrote about stuff that didn’t even happen. It's just, not real."

even when you use the word "definitely" you follow it with the word "might". are you aware that you invest a lot of words and time in making sure that everyone knows that it's open ended, opinion based, etc? did I say that @jacdaniel didn't have a good point? I was just sharing my thoughts about how I see it. I hope that's ok.

I don't care much about what the majority wants. I try to see it for what it is, not what I want it to be. I think that beggars can't be choosers anyway. I believe that everything we get from now on is a bonus,

Dude, I really don’t know with you. You reacted to something, offering your point of view. I reacted to something, offering mine. You take it weirdly and get all defensive. You say "I was just sharing my thoughts" – well, what do you think I was doing? It seems to me you take the conversations here very personally, or at least a bit too seriously. Or do you expect just to post things with people either constantly agreeing with you or otherwise not reacting at all?
As for the majority of the fans, I was just describing what could be logically expected and what Axl certainly can’t not take into consideration, that's all. There’s nothing wrong with speculations etc.
Anyway, take it easy, gotta go.

yes, very good. all opinions are valid. I never thought otherwise or tried to present my opinions as fact. must we go through this shit everytime we're trying to discuss Gn'R? you seem to have a need to repeat how it's not black and white, how it's open to speculation, etc. I realize that.

and also, btw, I don't consider Chinese Democracy to be a Gn'R album, but everything that you've said in your post doesn't change what I said in my original post in this thread about why I think that Axl is releasing his Chinese material. mostly for himself, mostly to finish what he started.

Well if I repeat that things are not black-or-white, as you say, then that’s because I often generally see black-or-white approaches here. Otherwise, I don’t know what you mean by "going through this shit". @jacdaniel had a good point, that’s all I’m saying. Or am I not allowed to react?
Yes, your guess is as good as anyone else’s, and vice versa. And since nothing is black-or-white (really, again!?), Axl definitely might be releasing these demos to finish something, but on the other hand has to think of the fans as well (again, the majority of which want to hear some more classic GNR/Slash-based tunes and not stuff like The General).
    We’re just talking here, man.

do you think Axl chose to release Absurd as the first single of the current lineup cause the top priority in his mind was how the material was going to be accepted by Gn'R fans? or did he do that more for himself?

my guess is that maybe it's nice for him when some fans enjoy what he chooses to release, but that it's more about finishing what he started and then maybe he'll move on from it after all the old Chinese tunes that he wants to release are out there, officially.

Or maybe he was actually testing the waters with Silk Worms, yes, it’s possible. Could have been a whim. Could have been a bet. Could have been incited by the other guys (unlikely, though). Could have been a number of things. (He also mentioned on the stage some joke that people don’t get regarding this song; I think someone here commented on that, but I’ve probably forgotten what it was about... granted it was ever explained at all.)

I wouldn’t mind him releasing a large number of CD2 tunes as part of the new album, as long as there are at least a few new/Slash/90s songs. But it's still not hard to understand that to many people – and especially the casuals, who are the ones filling the stadiums after all – Axl’s NuGNR (CD) era was indeed just a solo effort, regardless of the fact he always kept the band’s name. And so I see why some folks would want him to get the CD2 stuff out of his system first and then release a brand new album made by the original three and containing their own songs, even if from the 90s. It's not rocket science and most bands would do it this way. We're just so immersed in this band fandom that we've sort of gotten used to thinking that everything is impossible. Anyway... it probably won’t happen like this, but it’s a valid point of view nonetheless.

Lucky us! I was listening last summer's Paris show IEM sound on youtube and it's pretty cool. And that Whiskey '86 show...what a treat! I wish that Axl could see that the band needs a real manager or a management team and let's hope when CD era comes to an end TB is going home for good.

Would be great, but I don't see that as a real option. Beta is basically Axl's surrogate mother, and Nando is, well, her son. They've lived with him in his own house - they're not going anywhere. The only hope I'd see in this would be if Slash/Duff interfered a little bit and tried suggesting something to Axl every now and then. Some incentive on their part could set at least some things in motion.

I can't remember if that was brought up in this thread before, but why the actual fck it's so difficult for this band and that thing its called TB do some stuff to keep peoples interest in the band? Bon Jovi, Def Leppard and Motley Crue are doing this vault thing were they upload stuff from their archives (photos, documents, tour stuff, contracts etc) and it's great, you see stuff that you never thought you'll ever see. I'm sure Axl has almost everything from 1985 till this day just getting dusty in his garage. Also it would be a great chance for all the AFD guys to work together even if it's not music but to celebrate in a way the bands legacy. The 40th anniversary of GN'R is on the way and it would be great for such thing to happen.

You’re absolutely right, of course. They are terrible at this. But I was gonna say "mind you, you should expect the local forum police coming at you soon with such stuff as they don’t owe us anything, people just keep complaining, move on, etc." – and voila, there you go.

There’s undoubtedly loads of material that could be released, even if in some inferior Youtube quality, but Axl just won’t release old stuff, and TB - the so-called management team - are living the golden life, so why would they rock the boat by nagging him about anything.
    At least we have bootlegs...

I don't know any precise demand numbers either, but if they chose to sell it at that low price, they want to clear inventory ie make what they can now so it will be losing money cause you won't gain anything in those couple of years since the demand is very low, or at least that's how the seller sees it.

Yeah well, it’s still nasty. And I wouldn’t consider losing some trivial money on this as such a huge issue for a band that made half a billion only during the first two years of the reunion tour.
In any case, it’s a bit too unfair towards some fans, that's pretty clear.

  15. 5 minutes ago, Rovim said:

that's not how you clear inventory though when there is almost zero demand

Idk any precise demand numbers, but let's say they could have gone half-way, kept it somewhere at 150 and give it another couple of years. The goal would have been still achieved imo.
