Anybody remember the "Dragon" title from one of the Geffen papers some while back? Now one of the users from HTGTH claims that Dragon is the new title of..... Quick Song! I hope he is correct because i guess then it has been completed with lyrics and hopefully one of the songs Slash has played on.

I think the live version of the General was pretty good, must have been magical to experience live. They have soundchecked it once and played it flawlessly and Axl sounded good enough here, Monsters will be tougher challenge especially on the bridge. I guess the verses and chorus might actually be easier than the General, but cant see how he could do the bridge there,,,,

So what happens next? They debuted a new song on the tours last stop, will there be a video and digital release? Will Monsters be the released on another product/single/EP/Album? Of tracks we know of, Atlas Shrugged might be the most commercial sounding (based on what I think Slash will add to the track) Will there be radio silence until a new tour is announced or will they keep releasing songs while being off the road - it really doesnt matter as they dont do interviews, press and promotion either way - just touring

Only the involved parts do know I believe there are final versions due to Slash being on them, but not finished mix/master

I dont think they have scrapped State of Grace and i dont think that Monsters is a new iteration of the General - these songs share some ot the same musical themes and structures, but they are also different and compeltely new lyrics etc. I found out that this is a killer combo for a new playlist: General (with string intro) Monsters State of Grace OH my God Perhaps

No, its really really good. A tiny bit better than Monsters, but love both!

It is underneath the distorted part before chorus - you gotta listen i headphones - a much better experience

I hope this is the final versions (maybe not final mix/master) and that the rawness is not taken out of the songs if this is not the final product. I love them the way they are, the vocals in the chorus for the General could be clearer though? I love the distortion in the build-up

You cant be serious! The general and Monsters are the two best GNR songs since CD and also better than at least half of CD.

Will still have it in my collection. I think General may be better than Monsters now that I have heard them a lot over the last days. But I hope they are both on the B-side even if people says its no room. November Rain is the same length as the two combined. If the R-side is just the General it is infact a bit positive, because that means we will get another combo - probably Atlas/Monsters

Of course it can be a 10, its subjective. But of course, time will tell. I guess you would have reacted likewise when CD came out - its a 10 for me and for single songs st least TWAT and Better are 10/10

Of course, cause people tend to like simple, happy pop songs. And that is why Perhaps is the single, because it is more radio friendly and simple but at the same time less interesting. The same with movies and all art, most people dont give a shit

I would love to start the album with a two minute orchestral interlude of the General to set the mood
