  1. I don't mean never play it again, but it's been in the set for ten years. Switch it out for Prostitute or TWAT.

I'm not so sure about Axl actually singing either of those things. They are both hard songs to sing and both very 'studio' songs, whereas Madagascar is much easier to sing and (some) live versions are even comparable to its studio counterpart.

To be honest, I think Prostitute should have been an extra track on CD. It's just too slow and mellow compared to the other songs besides TIL.

prostitute has its place. but i do agree with that assessment. the information we got about this song did not fit the bill. night train meets november rain, fire and ice, you will fall out of your chair when you hear the guitar solo, etc. its good, and i would be happy to see it live, but i would much rather see civil war or twat.

  2. This is the rambling bullshit that makes this forum suck. This has to be one of the snobbiest, most pretentious fan forums for not only gnr but anything that has a fan forum.

  3. im not a music expert, but for at least half the setlist he was good, and sometimes great. so some shit happened. get the fuck over it. if you go into his weight next, hes the same build he was to finish the last tour. and he did pretty fucking well way way way way back then.

    now there's a ringing endorsement.

have fun being a hater. i enjoyed the shit out of free show on youtube like a nerd. it ended poorly, but i just watched nighttrain, blues, kohd, and til, and it was pretty awesome and i wanted to come in here and talk shit. cuz if he sang like that in 2002 we would have been as happy as pigs in shit. if this is off night, im going to at least 4 US shows.

awesome, brah. have fun poundin' beers, and i hope you get some pussy.

well the first part i can 100 percent guarantee, but the im not counting on the second part.

  5. if you cant like nighttrain, street of dreams, and this i love from that show, then i guess no one is gonna have an answer for you. amd estranged was awesome.

con: the bitch ass fans that wined and moaned for the next 24 hours cuz axl didnt play a new song. in a night full of technical problems and given the history of this band and leaks, why would you potentially play your new single and make it sound like shit to everyone on youtube forever.

  6. theres one solution to all this. release a live dvd from 2010. no one will ever even bother with youtube vidoes then. the only problem with that, is honestly, besides us, no one was watching. i like hard rock a lot, i had no idea metallica played down there. rio 01 was huge news cuz no one had seen axl rose in so long. but every show he plays that is pro shot, is really only big news to us.

  7. This is why I don't have more stars by my name. Cuz I don't start non news worthy threads. Oh wait a minute, I think Axl sucks forever now after one show, I better get to mygnr and start a thread about it. (Sarcasm) shouldn't have to add that note but after seeing all the ridiculous things said in the last 20 hours I don't assume this audience would pick up on it.

  8. Haha this is funny. All the conclusions people make that gnr is dead. Hahah. You all sound like needy girlfriends and you hang all your hopes living through a rock star. And to u that say new gnr is dead, okay you will still be one of the .01 percent of hard rock fans that follow their setlists coming up. And then like every other tour, they get better in a few shows and the only things you can complain about is new material and setlists.

  9. I believe in when they played in 2002 in Chicago it was in Oct or Nov, and the last time they played(was that 06?) in Chicago was in Nov also, its been a while, i remembering seeing them in NY at the Hammerstein the first night, but i finally have internet back after a while...but i would not be surprised to see them played at the end of the year here.

If anyone can correct me, when was the last 2 Midwest tours for GNR?

    11/14/02 Minneapolis, MN

    11/18/02 Chicago, IL

    11/28 or 11/27 of 2006 Chicago IL.

I was in chicago and minneapolis for the 02 shows. 11/18/2002 was the greatest concert i had ever seen until 12-02-06 in Minneapolis. 11/30/06 in milwaukee got canceled. my birthday, my hometown, my best tickets. ouch. but i understand, milwaukee kinda sucks. venue is terrible. if the band wants drink and come here next time i can out drink them all. fact.

  10. for me, oh my god came out when i was a jr. in high school. mtv would occasionaly report that axl was working on an album and then finally my curiosity took me to the point where i found gnr.com.ar. astonishingly, about ten days later the first clips of oh my god leaked with the trailor to end of days. i like the song, for me it carries with it a lot more memories of being in high school and blasting the song in the locker room before basketball games. anyhow, sorry for the bland journalism, good song, i like it cuz it feels like its somehow a fresh new song from my younger years, when most music from that time period seems old.

  11. just another cool thing that law biding GNR fans will never see. i never understood why GNR wouldnt sell us any of these videos, or shit, just let us see them. well... we all know know why but i guess we dont understand.

  12. has to be the most mysterious departures of a pop culture icon in the last 30 years. that NBA interview in the 2001 finals just seemed so out of place. both the las vegas shows, unreal. if i wasnt a poor college kid i would have been there. from bandmates selection to song writing, to the songs we still havent heard, its all a mystery. maybe its better that way... but i would still rather know. they gave a list of like 28 songs in that rollingstone interview. one of which is my username. in that era, rose, told loder, they had experimented with sounds the fans werent ready to hear. id love to hear those now.
