  1. I was there. I've seen him sing better. But he sounded great last night. I was hoping they would get his mic higher in the mix. That's my only complaint. Besides for that he was awesome and super active on stage. By the way. Fortus is a machine. I don't know ahit about playing the guitar but I can't believe he can rock that hard for a whole show

  2. so many people here want new music as much as they want axl rose to be the biggest rock star in the world again. so you all dream up these scenarios in which he takes over the rock world again and has huge selling albums and radio singles. the only problem is that you are assuming that axl rose wants to be the biggest rock star in the world again.

    1. You don't have to be "the biggest rock star in the world" to release new music, or simply just one new song in a setlist.

    2. Did you see the setlist? There were only four Chinese songs. That's the same number as, like, ten years ago. This is a major step back.

    3. We as fans see the potential of this new band, something perhaps no other person sees, and we want the band to reach its potential. That's not being irrational or wanting the band to be the biggest in the world again. The band just isn't reaching its potential as of now.

If not a new song, at least a new "oldie." I mean, we all know they've rehearsed Oh My God and Think About You. And they were considering Dead Horse. People would lose their shit if just one of these songs had reappeared last night. Heck, people were even saying they wanted If the World. Even throwing that simple little song that's considered one of the throwaways on the album itself (even though I love the song) would've satisfied people for the time being.

i see what your saying. just if we havent realized by now that axl works on his own timeline we never will. hes gonna do what he wants and we can complain about it. but we have to realize that we are a small group of people watching this closely. im going to chicago with 3 people next sunday, none of them are looking up reviews of this concert and analyzing the setlist and they are all huge fans, too. i would love to see coma or oh my god, or any switch up, but my friends are gonna go ape shit for civil war cuz they dont watch youtube videos of every show on a tour the way "we" do . so i guess my message is, we are all super super huge fans, but we have to realize we are the few huge fans and not be an overbearing girlfriend to the band. "when did you go out last night? who was there? why was she there? was she with anyone? where did you go after that? what time did you get home? were you drunk again?"

  4. No problem! I am glad you got one. I tried it again after I released it and got another one, could have been the same one but it was like 10 minutes later. Maybe they released more tickets?

I'm not really sure. I bought the one since that was all I needed, but when I went back in to try for 2 tickets so I could post back here and let people know, I couldn't get 2...I could get 1, which makes absolutely no sense! If I was trying to buy reserved seats that'd make sense but with it being GA, I don't see why it'd matter. So, for anyone looking for 2 tickets, I'd try one at a time and see if you can do that..

I got my vip gold for house of blues Chicago cant wait!

were you able to buy the ticket of gunsnroses.com or did you get it through the citi sale today on Live Nation. I was trying to get something gunsnroses.com and it wasnt working.

  5. when i was in minneapolis for gnr this girl came to our table and was asking us to hit on her friend. we told her we are here to see gnr are you? and she was like no im not that old. but she was older than us. she was pretty good looking but kinda stupid. she reminded me of matt damons gf in goodwill hunting

  6. anyone disappointed in a random live stream of a full concert out of no where, with the band playing a great show, must have not been in this forum during 2003, 2004, and 2005. now that was disappointing. tonight was awesome.

  7. Congrats on making the easiest prediction in the world. Wow super insightful. Can you predict what color the oceans will be tomorrow? Or can you tell me if tomorrow will also consist of 24 hours ?

Try reading the post next time and understanding what I mean.

    Internet cannot into sarcasm

flayer, i liked your post(not that it matters) and i understood what you were saying. i wasnt talking to you with that reply, it was meant for some one else who was all like, "in your face i predicted the old gnr was huge, and people would like that shit more. thats not really a prediction but a statement of historical fact. and thats who i was trying to call out on it. then he said some other ridiculous shit about axl and the new gnr being completely irrelevant so i made an over the top sarcastic response. again, it wasnt meant for your post.

  8. Didn't anyone ever get the memo? You don't wear a band shirt of the band you're going to see live. I've never seen more egregious offenders than at the Guns show in Chicago.

its funny, i never ever heard of that unwritten rule until the gnr show in minneapolis. all my friends were putting on gnr shirts and one of my friends was like, "what the hell are you guys doing? you cant wear the shirt of the band you are going to see!"

but i just called him a stupid asshole and put my shirt on.

  9. Yes. It's selling out when you remix a classic song and throw pop artisits into the mix. Too bad this rap rock version of paradise city didn't come out in 1999. A lot of people back then would have thought it was really cool.

And I don't need to make an argument saying Axl and new gnr have or haven't sold out. I just listened to that shit and its obvious there's nothing creative about it. Just an attempt to be or sound relevant

  10. Yeah don't get me wrong, I think he sounds fantastic these days. But it's clear that he cut himself some slack physically after the 2010 tour.

I've just spent pretty much every minute of the the last few months studying the band and it's interesting to compare Axl's vocals/looks (which makes me gay as hell according to this forum) in different periods.

well i wouldnt say gay as hell, but kinda gay. :rofl-lol: jk ive done the same thing.

  11. i was at chicago and minneapolis. compared to the 06 shows i saw axl is hitting and maintaining the high notes better. the power from 2010 reminded me more of the early 90s axl. but the way hes singing now sounds just like the cd version of the songs, especially when you are in the crowd. maybe there isnt the raw power, but his voice is incredible. i really like hearing his piercing high vocals and the control he uses dropping in notes the way he does during dont cry and madagascar. and he still really delivers at the end of november rain and all of jungle. theres definitely a difference between 2010 and now but i think theres a lot to be excited about this tour.
