  1. He said hip hop and rap are the same thing. And that's incorrect. Rap is an element of hip hop. Didnt  you read that krs quote? That was always my understanding. And if you don't know who krs is, you should DEF check him out.

@drtydaneLOL well he actually explained it to me so...and what is this grand prize of which you speak??

here condemn this as well :P but i LIKE it!

And that's classic snoop and dre. I'm a huge Eminem fan. But that album is garbage.

  2. He would agree with me I think. Also I think I should win the grand prize.

I think @J Dog would agree

    Hip hop:

A name for the 4 elements of the late 70's New York City renaissance which includes break dancing, emceeing, (rapping) graffiti, and turntablism.
Rap is something you do Hip Hop is something you live

i still don't get the diff between hip hop and rap....this all sounds like what i thought rap was. hip hop is maybe not as gritty? please explain :)

Hip hop is a lifestyle. The dress. The swag. The graffiti. Rap is the music that reps the lifestyle.

The Art of Storytelling is so good. I'd call it one of rap's most overlooked classics. Ricky's flow is just insane.

The features are great too. Ain't tryna claim things I haven't earned honest man.

You're probably still right, i bet theres someone over at Jive Records going 'we found some old footage of Pac rehearsin' for In Living Color, why with some well placed edits and a few Khaled beat we got ourselves a remix album right here'

The Beatles were a once in a lifetime band.

Pac will still be releasing music 10 years from now.

Naw.. until the end of time, and only the first disc was the last thing that held my interest. You might get a verse here and there, but with a shit beat and the verse itself being subpar.. I think the material is pretty dried up by now.

Was the first ever live thing recorded video evidence of rock n roll i ever saw...and I'll be honest, it put me off the shit for years.  It just had none of the zip and drive of the original shit.  Now i think about it it might've even been a contributing factor to my going off Guns n Roses.  when you're that early in your teens and you see this shit you kinda think like 'shit, this is the best rock n roll band and they kinda suck live, they must all be like this'.  It took punk i think for me to really understand the power of live music.

Are you lost? This is the GNR section Lenny..

Why's that? I was at the Gillette gig and thought it was terrific.

It was good, but that first tour after the Rio show was amazing. Concert footage wasn't what it is now. Axl still had the fire. The rants.

And that Hammerstein show was so intimate. General admission. And Izzy and Axl sharing the stage for the first time since 93.

Sitting in the stands in Gillette was just kinda lackluster. Axl in 2002 and 2006 was like the Axl of old. He's mellowed out. I dunno.

GNR. Both shows. Reunion of course. But the 06 show, first time seeing Axl, and he was on fire that night. Band sounded good. They played AFD version of You're Crazy for the first time since back in the day,  not sure they've played it since. Great show.

Tom Petty w/The Black Crowes. First big concert. Two of my all time favorite bands, both are great live. Good friendly crowd. People cruising around, sharing weed. Good first show experience.

Velvet Revolver. House of Blues show so I got right at the stage. Slash was like ten feet from me all night. This was right after they came out so they were hot and the crowd was hot for them.

Snoop Dogg. Another House of Blues show. Snoop is one of the few rappers that puts on a good show. Plus he had the Dogg Pound with him, Nate Dogg, Daz, Kurupt. It was a night of g-funk bliss.

Ozzfest. Black Sabbath, Velvet Revolver, Rob Zombie, Black Label Society, Iron Maiden. Sabbath kicked that ass. Iommi jumped waaaaay up in my book that night.

Pearl Jam w/Sonic Youth. Not really about PJ. Got dragged to this show at the last minute, and damned if one of my favorite underground bands Sonic Youth were opening. One of those bands I figured I'd never see live. They were great. Don't really remember PJ I was trippin  balls by the time they went on.

Hank Williams III. Caught him at a bumfuck Egypt hole in the wall metal club. This show probably kicked my ass more than any other. Fucking wild. And after the show Hank 3 came out chilling, talking to everyone, taking shots, taking pics, cool guy. Much respect.

    When was that snoop show?

I might have to dig out some of the old videos from my '06 Worcester MA show. I know there was some technical difficulties that night, but I remember how badass Axl sounded that night.

Dude you catch down on the farm? I was SO PUMPED to hear it that night.
