  1. Sad thing is, with everything being done online now as opposed to in person, they thrive off it. I'm a huge fan of The Wildhearts. When some journo was writing bollocks about them, 2 of the band simply turned up at their office and *"had a word". Shame you wouldn't really get away with that now but it'd be the one way that would actually get back at them. *Absolutely trashed the place
  2. Admittedly I do miss when Axl used to cut promos on folk from the stage. Calling out some wankpiece journos would've been a fine intro for DTJ.
  3. Everyone nipping for a Saul at this point.
  4. All climbing up the support scaffold with brollies?
  5. Was at the show in Glasgow last night. Not seen the lads since Final Frontier so it'd been a while. Bladerunner into Caught Somewhere In Time is a tremendous way to open. Was noticeable that they'd dialled the tempos back a bit and Nicko perhaps not being quite as intricate but they sounded immense still. Highlights for me were Alexander The Great and Hell On Earth.
  6. Group chat I'm in... "Elton didn’t need to bother with this c**t" "Outsinging him Age 76"
  7. Must be an awkward one for whoever is doing the house mix with the big jump in volume when he goes to his baritone from Mickey.
  8. Never been too fond of this version of the bands take on Chinese but that sounds very decent.
  9. Any idea what time kick off is? Wondering if I can get finished work in good time and watch.
  10. Watched the Monkeys for half an hour then binned it. Beige in the utmost.
  11. I actually quite liked it. Sort of odd industrial pop with nonsense lyrics but a solid tune.
  12. Funny thing was, loads of folk bought the single off the back of that advert and were then appalled once they realised that the high pitched, sped up part was only an intro to the actual song. The tune itself was at a much lower tempo and pitch.
  13. Knowing this band, it'll be something unexpectedly mental and nonsensical. McCartney shows up...to join the band for a cover of Spaceman by Babylon Zoo.
  14. In terms of being a fairly recognisable figure, it actually makes a bit of sense. Probably much less likely to get hassled by folk in a gay bar. Can just have a few drinks with friends and not be pestered all night by folk wanting to chat, get photos etc.
  15. Suggested the original version of Catcher with old Farrokh singing. Would be like some mad unreleased Queen tune with Brian on there too.
