  1. It really isn't - amongst the Sabbath fans that are open to all eras of the band, Born Again is a popular choice. The thing that brings it down for a lot of people is the production, most agree the music is great. As for post-Eternal Idol, it's gotta be Headless Cross for me. Some of Tony's heaviest, most evil riffs, great vocals from Tony Martin, lyrics lean heavy into the occult, plus a fun guest spot from Brian May. Even taking the post-Eternal Idol criteria out of consideration, Headless Cross is one of my favorite Sabbath albums full stop.
  2. On another note - got my Lucky Dip tickets for Cleveland without a hitch this morning. I’ll pick up tickets last minute for East Rutherford 2 close to the show date - have an odd number of people going to that one so LD doesn’t work. Here’s to hoping for another pit next year
  3. A top 10 is definitely a tough one. If I had to try and do a list myself: 1. Sticky Fingers 2. Some Girls 3. Let It Bleed 4. Exile On Main St 5. Beggars Banquet 6. Out Of Our Heads (US) 7. Tattoo You 8. Hackney Diamonds 9. Steel Wheels 10. Aftermath (US) The second half of the list is much harder than the first half.
  4. It is not. MyGNRForum opened in 2002 I believe. Originally there was a GN’R fan site that was run by a Canadian guy, Eric, and then at some point he started this forum to go along with it. When Eric decided to shut down the forum in 2011, UK Subs bought it from him but Eric retained ownership of MyGNR.com (Which I now see is no longer online) despite the fact that he hadn’t updated it since about 2003. Then @downzy bought the forum from Subsy in 2015, and that’s how we got where we are now. if you can find an internet archive of MyGNR.com, it’s a trip. Straight out of 1995.
  5. I can’t speak for the European tour as those dates stayed the same, but the North American tour had refunds offered. I don’t think they can legally not offer refunds in the event of a postponement.
  6. Not really, no. Even if the setlist is the same, every show feels very different. I travel a lot to see them - I try to go places where it’s gonna be a different experience. Whether that’s a unique venue, somewhere the crowds are known to be wild, or some other factor that contributes to the atmosphere, it’s keeps all of them feeling fresh.
  7. Mexico City announced for late November, along with their first show in Bogota since 2011!
  8. I’ll twist your arm harder if I need to But seriously, would be fun to meet up again for another Stones gig.
  9. Lucky Dip is the only way to go for me nowadays. Cheap way to see them, and honestly I get good seats far more often than bad seats. Cleveland isn’t that far and it’s a Saturday
  10. Disappointed Buffalo isn’t getting made up from the COVID cancellations. Looks like I’ll be doing Cleveland and the likely second East Rutherford date.
  11. Agreed, that is a band firing on all cylinders. The album is nothing special, but man - that tour. Brian’s nastiest live vocals ever, the precision in the rhythm section, Slade pushing the tempos. Can’t beat it. AC/DC Live is one of my all-time favorite live albums, that era just never gets old.
  12. Enough I’m well into three-digit numbers, but I’ve also slowed down a lot since COVID. Last year I only did my local show, this year I did six (But only four cities). A far cry from when I was doing 20-25 a year.
  13. I can't be bothered to list every concert, nor break it down by year. But this is everybody I've seen. Opening acts/festival slots only listed if I actually had any interest. 14. I have no insight and this is all news to me. But there is no fucking way they play 12 gigs in Germany.
  15. Thanks for reminding me I have a TSS account I haven’t updated in well over a year But I agree, love that shirt - one of my favorite GN’R shirts I have. Now if only I could get the HOB soldier/Chinese Democracy Starts Now shirt…
  16. It isn’t really a proshot though. If I remember right, it’s a local radio station or something that I’m assuming gets media access. The same source streamed KISS last year, and that was just a single, wide angle shot for the entire show. This one actually looks quite a bit better than KISS did last year. Like @DoMw94 said, it’s not soundboard audio but at least it’s relatively free of obtrusive crowd noise since the camera is a bit elevated (And obtrusive crowd noise is quite prevalent on audience recordings in Latin America). Would like to see the full show in that quality still.
  17. Yes, it's an annual festival that's been going on for about a decade I think. I attended last year and I was expecting a total shitshow (I mean, festivals commonly are, and concerts in Latin America regularly are, sooo...) but I was really impressed - it was one of the most well-planned and executed festivals I've ever been to, ahead of plenty of the European festivals I've been to even. The only issues I had were the layout of getting into/out of the pit zone (They only had an entrance/exit on one side for a two-stage setup, so it was virtually impossible to use the pit access going either way if a band was playing on the stage nearest to the access), and there simply was not enough parking for a festival of it's size. Otherwise no complaints whatsoever, and I was planning to go again this year until I saw how weak the full lineup was.
  18. I don’t expect much to be re-recorded from the leak, if anything. I do expect it to be properly mixed and mastered though, and that can make a hell of a lot of difference.
  19. So I guess this settles the debate over whether The General/Monsters is one song or two huh?
  20. Seems like it! We’ll definitely figure something out. In NA I’m planning to do Toronto (or Montreal), Philly, Brooklyn, Pittsburgh, Newark, and Baltimore. Taking a couple trips also though - I’m doing all four in Japan, and I’m hoping to do a couple in South America (There’s good reason to believe a Bogota show will be announced so that would be my priority).
  21. You're doing Brooklyn huh? Seems we might finally meet up for a Maiden gig
  22. It's showing for me as well, but I wonder if that's influenced by the fact that I added a song called "The General" by Guns N' Roses from my shared library.
  23. Was about to remind people of much of the same - it’s easy to say “lol typical GN’R”, but this has been a problem across the music business for several years now. This delay is very, very likely to be out of GN’R’s hands entirely. That said, it could (And should) have been communicated sooner than this, because there’s no way today is when they found out they can’t start shipping records tomorrow.
  24. I don’t think that’s opening a can of worms, those are fair considerations. But we don’t know the answers to any of those points yet, including how long the song is. I’m of the opposite opinion, I’d rather just wait and see how it sounds when we get it.
