You mean like GNR releasing a greatest hits and reissue boxsets for AFD and UYI? She could release every album 100 times and it wouldn't matter if nobody was buying them.
I remember the band didn't release the greatest hits, the record company did and the band sued them over it.

It's got some interesting visuals but this should have been released when the song was.

Godzilla Minus One was nominated for a Best VFX Oscar. Pretty cool!

Come on,
we all know it’s a teaser for GnR themed Valentine’s Day merch!!!
In all seriousness, it’s going to be an AI music video for The General but hey, at least they are releasing stuff while on hiatus.
or like when Korn teased something BIG and it turned out to be fucking coffee

U deaf or what? There's a high pitch clicking on almost every bassdrum beat (except a sampled ones in verses)
Thanks for the smart ass answer. Very helpful

Perhaps sounds good to my ears, Absurd ir pretty ok also... HS is much worse, drums sounds like cheap drum machine and then there is The Clipper... worst sounding mix by any major band out there
How does it clip? Any examples?

Nonwithstanding the quality of the track itself, it's such a pity that Axl's "statement" when he chose a very light mastering touch for Chinese Democracy has consistently been followed by badly mixed and most of all compressed and brickwalled releases.
On that front, The General has reached a new low.
all the digital releases are brickwalled? I haven't bought any of them

Appetite was recorded on analog tape, so, they likely captured it and stored it at 24-192 for archival purposes.
These recent songs are all a product of the digital age, done in pro-tools, probably had the session captured at that rate.
Not an audiophile forum, but, honestly, nothing we really need to worry about too much. It's more for the folks making the music.
I see other bands with new songs with higher hz. Metallica for example. Weird. Oh well.

why do they keep releasing their flac files at 48hz when the appetite flacs were 192?

Is that a serious question?
Obviously I'm saying he doesn't need to "slim down" at all because he's in great shape, and if he lost (more) weight to impress the nutters in this forum he'd be seriously unwell. He's in decent shape right now as-is.
yup, serious question to your insinuating to "slim' down is to go extreme.

"The Spaghetti Incident?" was released 30 years ago tomorrow. I'd be doing something for that

Why would you equate slimming down to being anorexic? How much weight do you think he has to lose?

Also, Axl has never been in studio on Stern. They called him at a hotel once, and he called them once with Sebastian. Small detail, but still…
yeah that struck me as odd too. I remember the call was Axl and Sebastian Back on the phone. That was his only appearance.

“Hard Skool” becoming school-themed is cheesy as hell, even if we suspect the locker image was a nod to the locker leaks. The bell made me think it was fake when I first heard it (which wasn’t on Spotify yet in the US). Or that someone put it in the real song as a joke. I still hate the bell. Not a dealbreaker.
Someone mentioned Alice Cooper’s “School’s Out,” but the lyrics are literally about school ending. “Hard Skool” has nothing to do with actual school.
I think it was because it had "school" in the title. I never would have tied the locker image with the storage locker. That's a bit of a stretch

Yeah, boxsets etc were subsequently mentioned and acknowledged as something that's still a thing, but a standalone concert DVD/Blu-Ray is a largely outdated concept
best possible quality we're gonna get. fuck streaming.

It's 2023, it's more likely to see a Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+ or Apple TV release. Physical media is dying. The only people that would buy a Blu Ray would be us
There's a bit of a resurgence in physical media going on with various box sets and other releases happening.

Spaghetti' is the only GNR album to suffer from it. You can argue about it being a Punk album, and how it might have worked as an aesthetic choice.
I always wondered why the solo in "Down on the Farm" crackled at the end.

I'm still irritated there's no CD release

Not sure, it was a thread few weeks ago about Joe Podcast and possible interview to Axl. I guess Axl has phobia about the media.
an irrational fear of the media?
seems like he can just take it or leave it.
