Regardless of what versions people buy, I hope everyone here has learned not to pay full price for GNR box sets. They've discounted the AFD box yet again because they still haven't sold them all.

Super deluxe version is down to $50.

I'll wait till the UYI vinyl box is down to $200-250 before I consider buying it.

    Sold out now

True enough….apart from it ‘just being GNR’ I can’t think why else they want to dodge including them? Hell - just include a download card for folk to use - lots of folk have this stuff as it’s widely out there but not everyone is as savvy with looking.

One thing I always found odd - why the demo of Ain’t Going Down sounded so flat and hissy compared to the other tracks found on the various bootlegs which were supposedly cut around the same time…the other tracks sounded almost identical to the final album versions….a cleaned up version of that AGD would be awesome.

I'm guessing people that they don't work with anymore has stuff that they could have used. Alan Niven comes to mind. He's passed out a lot of stuff over the years.

I remember on a now deleted Guns N'Roses Fan Website, the Fans kept calling Axl Dexter, saying stuff like," Did Dexter black out his Appetite For Destruction Cross Tattoo? Did Dexter think the weird Cornrows he did to his hair looked good on him?" I l, having absolutely no idea why these Fans were calling Axl Dexter said something like,"Why are you guys calling Axl Dexter? This is even worse than Fans who call him Axel!" The responses were something like," Axl went on multiple Guns N'Roses Fan Websites and used the name Dexter as a screen name . Also, Dexter was the name of one of Axl's Cats who is now deceased." That made a lot of sense....

I dunno. He referred to himself as "Uncle Axl" in a concert animated video in 2001 and fans called him that for years

Uhh..hold on but since when does that seem unlikely. And especially when he knows it's being filmed? That they included film footage from other shows, of which there are like 2-3 only, is a dumb conspiracy theory lol. What would even actually be the point of mixing in footage from other shows, when you have footage of the entire show where it was played, I don't understand peoples logic sometimes.

Not a conspiracy, just trying to figure out why one performance audio clip is being used over footage of various clips with wardrobe changes from band members, different guitars etc. when the performance of the same song with the same audio is being included in the box set as part of a single show.

I know you mean in perfect quality but...we already have a great (compared to an audience recording) version of that concert.

Houston '92 is a concert that is somehow missing here but was professionally recorded (better than the normal soundboards) and has been traded around in circles. As was London '91, especially for video release. Not sure why that wasn't one of the concerts picked for a 4K release.

They still were using videotape back then. The only thing that could be close to a 4k conversion is film
