The review (not sure if it has already been posted):

    http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/music/la-et-ms-guns-n-roses-dodger-stadium-20160819-snap-story.html

Very favorable review of the show overall, ending though with "nostalgia trip" and "no Axl-Slash interaction" remarks.

I have read a couple of reviews from te LA gig and they are mostly very positive - actually a great read!! This tour really gives GNR good PR and i love it! Finally they get the cudos they deserve! ????

  2. I think a GNR album would sell a lot more then "another ACDC" album. My argument is this; acdc have released so many mediocre albums and they all sound the same the last 20 years. GNR (the real deal) havent released a album since 1991 and therefore this new GNR album would been hyped up so fucking much! Just see the different interest for the GNR concerts when they are reunited; with new gnr there would be arenas, no it is stadiums! So suddenly GNR are a stadium act again, just like in theyre heydays and i dont see why this new album from these guys would not sell (or dowloaded or how the hell you measure this now) like back in the day. At least the difference in numbers should be more like UY albums vs the razors edge. In my guess is that UY 1 or 2 have sold more than the razors edge

  4. The first time I heard GNR was proably in 1988 on tv (I think it was the patience video or used to love her at the night show) and i hated it!! I was nine years old then and loved Motley Crue, kiss, wasp, twisted sister etc... :)

Then when the UY1 and 2 (1991) came out my older brother bought UY2 and i just loved it. especially Knocking on heavens door and Get in the ring! Then, after this, when i got to hear Paradise city for the first time i was sold! :)

  5. Sorry, but axl had too short a run to be #1. If guns n roses had continued past '93 he could have contended for #1.

Guys like plant, scott and especially mercury wipe the floor with axl

I dont see your logic!?! Bon Scott died after about 5 years in ACDC, Axl had a longer run than him!

Dont get me wrong; Plant, Scott, and Mercury are among the 10 best frontmen ever, but Axl wipes the floor with them (maybe not Mercury...)!! ;)

  6. Dave Grohl have done a great job with Foo Fighters.

BUT, Foo Fighters have not a big recordsale to brag about at all! Nirvana and GNR have probably sold 10 times as much records as Foo Fighters! just check RIAA.

When that is said; Foo Fighters can fill Wmbley stadium - i dont think Nivana or GNR can do that anymore.... :)

  7. I don't agree Axl is the greatest frontman ever, but for the fuck of it, I'd say Sailing at Wembley '06 is my favorite Axl performance.

Everyone has their opinion, but I'm just curious as to who you would have in mind?

Some people say Freddie Mercury, and I don't disagree, it's just that his singing really lacked live. Probly due to all the cigarettes he smoked...

I think that Axl is by far the best frontman ever, but Freddie Mercury is absolutely one of the best ever. Other great frontmen is; Bon Scot, Robert Plant, and Ozzy Osbourne! :)

  8. There were some roumers that GNR is gonna play in Norway 27th of may, so maybe they are putting on a tour... :)

    Hope so!

Where did you get the date from? :) I haven't seen any spesific date, just an article about them maybe will come to Travparken in Bergen.

Boy I'm glad to see this. The more festivals etc. there are rumours about gnr to headlining, the better.

I have mixed feelings. Festivals are certainly better than nothing on the one hand - i like festivals. A festival performance on the other hand is a rather weak thing compared to a "2 opening bands + 3 hours GNR" set that a real concert would provide. :shrugs:

I agree! But what I meant about festivals, is if they're rumoured to many festivals, that may means they're planning to come to europe at least, that it is something. And I'm pretty sure they will do their own dates to, if they first are coming over here.. :) I'm an optimist!

I did see it here: http://www.rogalandsavis.no/puls/article4813608.ece

AWESOME!!!!! But I doubt they will play two concerts in Norway, with two days space between them? Maybe if they're doing a big tour in europe! Hope so.. Gosh this made me excited! If this is reality, I can't wait to go direct from Bergen to Stavanger (or the other way) to see them. And I guess at least Denmark and Sweden to. rock3 rock3

I live between Bergen and Stavanger, so ofcourse i would attend both shows!!! (but i also doubt GNR plays two big shows in Norway...)

Actually the 29th as well.. Stavanger and Bergen. Pretty big outdoor concerts, with capacity between 40- and 60.000.

But, as with the Finnish date, nothing has been confirmed.

Yes thats true - first in Stavanger then in Bergen, but this is too good to be true (I live 2-3 hours from both cities) :)
