I recently picked up a sealed live like a suicide.  It’s been on my want list for a while and I’ve never seen one. I pulled the trigger as soon as I saw it listed.  

I’m hoping they sell out and hire a hits writer for a single or 2 like Aerosmith did… or collaborate with a current star for a hit.. make it part of an 11 track album with classic AFD sound.  Something that would make a new GNR track a clerical success and not just something we would listen to.  Not sure why I want that.  I just want gnr to be cool again and not a joke like they have been lately 

This reminds me of the time in 2001 I bought the House of Blues DVD from HMV  Japan.  I’m still waiting for it.

What is the litho?  Was hoping for something related to horse racing 

I’m going off memory and could be wrong… but wasn’t seven, the general and Thyme all supposed to have an orchestra on the songs.  I’m not asking for any links… but the general never leaked other than a cell phone snip..  right?  I’m pretty excited about hearing a new gnr song that I have no idea what it’s going to sound like. 

Hopefully they drop hard school and absurd.  I don’t know anyone looking forward to hearing those songs.  Pehaps is way better 

I never got Chinese democracy on vinyl.  I agree it is up there are far as rarities.  I also agree that none of the options are truest rare.  Relatively speaking though LLAS is much more limited than the other albums.  

Guns N’ Roses seem to be as popular as ever.  They are a considered a “cool” band by my 12 year old son and seem to be leading the new emergence of rocks. 
 

I collected GNR vinyl because they are my favorite band but I’m starting to thing live like a suicide is very cheap considering that it was limited to 25k copies   AFD is my favorite album but LLAS seems like a great buy right now   Anyone else into vinyl?

Thanks! I don’t have any plans to sell it but curious what it goes for now.  I got it on eBay shortly after the show.  I don’t know anything about them.  I assumed they were just promotional flyers. 

I think I used to have a bootleg double CD import of the Paris show.  Steven Tyler joined them for a few songs.  Is that the same gig?  Does he make a guest appearance on this?   I vividly remember the welcome to the jungle intro.   “Paris France and the rest of the world watching….. do you know where the fuck you are!” It was in pretty good quality too. I found the cd case but can’t find the cds 

The general never leaked with lyrics or instrumental has it. I’m not asking for it. If I remember right SOG was near complete.  Soul monster was just an instrumental??? 

If I were king for a day I would have the band follow what Aerosmith did to become relevant again back in the late 80s early 90s

1) collabe with a major pop star/dj to get a new song actually played and introduce new music and gnr to a new generation of fans

2) have outside writers “help out” and give the band 2-3 radio friendly singles that reintroduce rock music 

3) feather in an additional 9 songs of new music entirely written by gnr and not Chinese left overs to make a 12 song album 

this is a total sell out plan but I think the right recipe to gain momentum and get new music out.  Continue the cash grabs with a UYI box set and a Chinese B sides album.   Flush out all the songs lingering around since 1999 and move on.   
this just my opinion and will never happen.  But would love to see gnr on top of the music scene again and not just release music that only diehards like us will hear 

I’m looking forward to this concert and the one on the 2nd. Seems like they are shaking up the set lists this tour.  It should be interesting to see how many different songs they play over the 2 nights. 

I think SOD sounds the most like an illusion era song.   Seeing slash and duff take on it would be awesome.  I would love an EP with the current band re-recording

This is a great thread. Does anyone know if they did lithos for older tours?   Specifically Vegas 01-01-01, NYC 2002 or the Hammerstein shows?  I have a flyer I bought on eBay for the Vegas show that I got in 2001.. no idea if it’s official or not.  I would love an official litho from those since I was in attendance. 

That book is incredible.  It would be by far the best thing GNR released since 2008. I was always impressed with the lithos.  Thought they were always thoughtful and well done. I like how you put some images that inspired the actual litho.   Amazing job.  

I was there. Baz joined them for my michelle which was awesome… great show.  I don’t remember exactly but think Izzy joined them tge next night and kid rock but do g think they played twat

In other news- the German health minister has just stated that all events over 1000 capacity should be cancelled. No idea if this will come to fruition though of course.

Mortality rate in italy is about 3%. I couldn’t find details on the people in my 2 minute google search but I assume most of those deaths are in the same demographic that the flu is fatal to.  I’m struggling to see a statistical difference from the flu that the world deals with every year.

What does politics have to do with this?  The mortality rate will be about 1%. The majority of the deaths have been elderly or people with preexisting conditions...  Just like the flu.  Over 10k people in the US die from the flu each year.  Strange they don’t cancel every event during flu season every year.
