Personally I think self titled albums are pretty uninspired. Stay of Execution would be perfect. Legend of the Red Panda would’ve been cool if it was the last lineup, but they gotta move on from the Chinese theme at this point. NITL would’ve been awesome too if it wasn’t used on the tour, but at this point it’s time for something new in that regard too.

Stay of Execution is about as good an album title as any used by anyone....ever.

  2. That's how it was for me from the very beginning.

could someone tell me why when you go to fantracks it asks for you to sign in but nowhere do I see where I can even register even though they let me purchase the concert I can't watch because there's no way to access it? Anybody know how to watch the concert from your lap top?

Did you buy it from the mobile web app, or from the fantracks "main" site?

If you bought it through the app, you have to watch it through the app: http://fantracks.com/apps/guns_webapp/

If you bought it through the site, you have to watch it through the site: http://fantracks.com

Both options are supposed to be available after 24-48 hours.

I'm having trouble getting anything on the web app to work at the moment. I've tried with different browsers, 3 different computers and remotely on another system sitting at my office... the only button that works is the big "Buy Concert" image - none of the actual menu options do anything when I click on them. Anyone else?

Thanks for the links but they only bring up the web site. It's too bad a person spends money on a product that doesn't exist.

  3. You'll all be saying I was right come December 31, 2012 and we have our two new albums. (Might as well join Sebastian on this)

What will you be doing when you're wrong?

I doubt I'll be wrong. But to answer your question: I'll be at the Viper Room a few blocks away listening to the up and coming local bands. I'm not a fair weather fan but there will always be people putting out new music. Hey, look at Green Day. Oh gawd!

  4. 2007. Yep, must still be relevant.

Do you let someone go on tour with you after they tell untrue stories about your life's work and timetable? Of course it's relevant.

    Do you really trust axl!??!?!

That's a good question especially when we're talking about a group that put out an album called: GN'R Lies.

  5. I think he's joking.....

    Actually its called trolling

Let's judge things factually. If Sebastian didn't say we get three GN'R albums between 2008 and 2012 tell me I'm wrong.

Just because I'm not as good looking as you must be Loaded Night Train doesn't mean I'm a cupcake.

You'll all be saying I was right come December 31, 2012 and we have our two new albums. (Might as well join Sebastian on this)

  6. No. CD 3 comes out this year. This year is 2012. Sebastian Bach said the third album comes out in 2012. Sebastian Bach said The General comes out this year. Lots to look forward to.

    hahahaha this guy!!!

    ROFL :rofl-lol:

Wait a minute... did I miss CD2 already?

    I think he's joking.....

Joking? Not sure how you mean that. I don't think GN'R wants Sebastian to look misinformed and wait another day after December 31, 2012 to release the two albums promised before this year's end.

  7. It's okay. The Billy Joel Syndrome is quite common. "One of my songs is being played on at least one radio station somewhere right now. I better not make any new music cause if people don't like it they might stop liking what I already did."

Here in Hollywood everybody loves GN'R! Looking forward to hearing that third new album in 2012.

  8. So back in the day Mr. Bach mentioned that the THIRD new album from GN'R would be coming out in 2012. That means we should be getting a new double album this year because the SECOND new GN'R album didn't arrive in 2010. I want to understand the creative process of Mr. Rose. What I gather is that for many years Mr. Rose saved up a lot of material. What I think is that the 14 songs he knew were going to be on Chinese Democracy the FIRST album were the ones he focused his attention on. I think there are probably many instrumentals that he hasn't recorded a vocal on. I think it shows a great desire to put out quality material by saving your songs and improving upon them. Soul Monster, Thyme, Daddy Can the Devil, etc. are great song titles. But don't you think you should wait to mention them until they're somewhere in the vicinity of time they are coming out? Why are you telling us about your favorite guitar bridge in a song that four years later nobody has heard yet? Now on Facebook people are talking about how a GNR member introduced The General to the band. Hey, sounds great! CAN WE HEAR WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT or is this another "one song released in a decade" Oh MY God tease?

Dizzy said it best in his last interview on tour: "The fans should get what they deserve."

    Here's what the fans deserve:

A box set of all the Chinese Democracy material.

    OR

If it's all not ready yet, release one song at a time until all of songs from CD sessions have been released.

We love you and what you do Mr. Rose. It's great you want future generations to love the new GN'R but what about THIS GENERATION of waiting loyal fans?

  9. The only thing Axl could have been is a little bit more awesome but I'm not sure if that's possible. The guy rocks. If you like live shows, GN'R's been playing 3 hours lately. As far as unreleased music, there was something said on facebook by GNR that they would try to put some new tracks up on Facebook in 2011. That would rock. We'll see. If you're a fair weather fan then you're fine. No problem. "Hey, GN'R rocks!" On to the next group. Whatever. I think it's only tough if you're a true fan because the only negative is when you feel like you're just another person in a sea of people. When you come out and say, "GN'R is the greatest!" there's a tendency for an artist to feel like, "Oh cool. We converted another one. Well, that was nice but we've got millions of other people who like us so that one person doesn't mean as much as these 20 million." What I would say about Axl is: "He's Axl and you're not." Kind of sums it up. GN'R rules. Look forward to new music if and when it happens.

  10. Has anyone ever heard of Michael Jackson? Remember when that album Michael came out and six out of the ten songs were sung by Michael Jackson? The other four were sung by a sound-a-like! Can we try to learn a lesson here GN'R? Put your music out or when you're 100 years old and can't lie to us anymore about release dates somebody else will say they are you and release whatever they decide. Where is Soul Monster? Where is Thyme? Where is The General? Release these songs or we won't attend your concerts!

How much money has been lost because there is no $120 Chinese Democracy 40 track box set for people to buy? How long will GNR lose money because Chinese D. master tapes are collecting dust?

  11. Why am I seeing George Clooney's The Ides Of March tomorrow and I haven't heard GNR's song The Ides Of March? Where is The Ides of March song? It should be played at the next concert for the sake of George Clooney. The poor guy can't even get Axl's attention to hear a song unless he directs and stars in a movie with the title of a GNR song. This has gotten too ridiculous. Where is Soul Monster? Where is Thyme? Where is The Ides of March?

    Trolly McGee.

Yeah right Packer! Me and George Clooney are the only GNR fans on here who actually want to hear the GNR song The Ides of March. Everyone else are paid employees. Paid to say nice things. Paid to not want new songs. Paid to not ask where Soul Monster is? Where is Soul Monster by the way? Where is Thyme? Where is The Ides of March?

  13. All the fatist comments directed at Axl are well below the belt. He looks like any other normal man approaching his fifties.

I like GNR because of the music not because of how Axl Rose looks. If his waistline is that important to you, you're either a very shallow person or in the closet about your hidden homosexuality.

That's right Towel! Some of these people on here are the reason Axl has to put plastic owls on his house to scare them away. Where is Soul Monster and Thyme?

  14. OP was sort of joking, wasn't he?

Baz said a bunch of things, some of them didn't make sense.

Axl's said a bunch of things, many of which didn't happen.

Clearly, whatever was said YEARS AGO no longer applies today. If it did, we'd have gotten a BETTER video, a US tour awhile ago, and perhaps even a bonus disc of Chinese remixes/alt versions.

The only thing we can be for sure about is

1.) They're scheduled for shows in US

2.) They will probably be playing Estranged.

3.) They might play Oh My God

People giving weather predictions about "Atlas" or "The General" or "My Dog Ate My Homework" have nothing to base it on - at all.

This is when you pull out your Velvet Revolver shirt and say; "At least we got two albums out of them." Where is Thyme?

  15. Where is Soul Monster? Where is Atlas? Where is Thyme? I realize Axl's songs are his babies he doesn't want to show to the photographers after they're born. BUT IT"S BEEN 15 years. HIS BABIES SHOULD BE ABLE TO HANDLE GOING OFF TO COLLEGE BY NOW! Where is Down By The Ocean?

Where is Jesus? Did that one priest say the rapture was coming?

Jesus is still being crucified in churches every week. It's easier to crucify Jesus than face our own lives. It's easier to not release albums than to release albums.

  16. In all fairness, axl didn't tell bach to say anything. Bach chose to reveal that to the public on his own accord.

Yeah sure. I always let people go on tour with my band, let them listen to my long awaited album(s) and somehow forget the media is where information gets released and spread.

  17. Let the boy have some hope. Let's say its possible. If i was up to the fans now would be a perfect time just before us tour but we live in a different space. Besides no album might be ready as of now.

Who do you have to talk to to become paid mygnr forum posters who only favors whatever GNR decides to do? Where is Chinese Democracy 2?
