  1. This is about as accurate as one could make of The General. Great job! Didn’t even realize he was saying “it’s all burnt down” instead of “it’s over now”. Makes total sense.
  2. Still discovering new bits like “it’s over” and final “it’s over now” at the very end of Monsters while Fortus or Slash is noodling away beautifully.
  3. Has anyone done A/B comparison with the cell phone clip? The guitars gotta be different if this is Slash. Or is it? listening to cell clip now I can very clearly hear “I was there for you/it’s all I could do/oh but it’s over now” lol
  4. I really hope Axl thinks better of the vocal effects on the “chorus” of The General. I can’t make out any of the words and there sounds to be a solid falsetto track completely buried in effects.
  5. So were those Buenos Aires and Porto Alegre 2022 rehearsals just jams or different songs?
  6. Think it’s hilarious how when Perhaps single/music video dropped and The General was announced, the band had some deserved good will. Tons of us said we wouldn’t listen to a leak since we had a “ship date” and we wanted to preserve the experience. And then yesterdays shitshow happened and we all said fuck it today. Who were we kidding? We will always consume leaks !
  7. It’s crazy how shitty these mixes sound. I’m excited to keep listening but the quality is the shits. Hoping these are just rough, unmastered and not final.
  8. Anyone else gonna miss “who would do this to you?” from Evader’s version? Im not used to the real version lol
  9. Love to wait until the day before it’s supposed to ship to announce this. I hope it leaks asap. Excitement deflated and derailed.
  10. So if this is getting a digital release tomorrow, it should appear on streaming platforms for New Zealand in about 6.5 hours.
  11. & what was the time span between BMI publishing and the track list leaking? Same general timeframe of mid to late 2008 right? Splitting hairs lol
  12. Scraped (Lies They Tell) is the only song on CD that we didn’t know about prior to the track list becoming available.
  13. I think it would be funny if the song was only 3.5-4 mins long. People might lose their shit. Look at the past three releases, none of them even get to the 4 min mark. I wouldn’t be surprised if this is the same case for The General.
