  1. This Slash "Blues Oriented" album is the most exciting thing since the reunion. SMKC hit its peak with WoF.. That was killer album and the music was strong enough to outshine Myles.. He is a nice guy and all and better live but he is generic and stale as hell which rubs off on the music. I have zero interest in SMKC anymore. Even more so since the reunion where I can see Slash play GnR songs. No interest in Duff's solo stuff.. Especially after the woke cringy Tenderness album. Guns themselves are stale themselves these days.. Every one of the "Chinese Leftovers" are crap.. The lineup is sterile and don't do a decent amount of songs justice. Axl is a shell of his former self.. I will still see them live if they come around but it isn't top priority.. I am stoked for this Slash album/tour.. I hope it takes off and becomes an annual thing..
  2. If this is successful (which I think it will be) he will probably do it again. Add it to his rotating list of projects.
  3. My personal thought is that this will be much bigger than anything with Myles and company.. Hell I am a huge Slash fan and I don't even go to those anymore.. Plus there are some pretty decent names on the bill.
  4. He actually had alot of rants and stories in 88 as well. They were just more bad ass and much less whiny. As an artist Axl was untouchable in his hey day.. Appearance aside, he lacks stage presence, charisma, creativity and a voice these days..
  5. I am in!! Got great seats front middle section aisle for $90 each including fees.
  6. Thanks for that!! Slash will still be amazing, but I was pretty excited to have Kingfish and Warren Haynes on the bill. Deesn't look they will be at my show..
  7. I would like to see an actual list of what artists are playing in what city. Hayne's site only shows dates til July 14th.. Kingfish only shows two dates etc...
  8. Never heard the song before... Love Slash but this wasn't for me at all.. I couldn't even finish it. Back to the new album...
  9. That has more to do with it. There really wasn't any promotion for this at all. They announced it was going to drop the night before and he did one zoom interview. The music speaks for itself.
  10. I am not sure there has been anything Gn'R related this exciting since 2016.. For me anyway.. I never want to hear Myles or another rehashed CD song again..
  11. I was thinking that too.. Izzy would have been great on here and is a big Blues guy. He covered several Howlin Wolf songs with the JuJu Hounds. Rocker, Little Red Rooster, Highway 49 and Spoonful I believe.
  12. My guess is that is what it will initially be. I also thing that this album could end up being a bit of a commercial success which could lead to more shows. Same. It is pretty much guaranteed they will play the House of Blues Boston, but I will travel to see another show or two if possible.
  13. Posted this in the "Killing Floor" thread as well, but if anyone was alive or watched "Good Times" back in the late 70's / early 80's, that is where the inspiration of the album cover came from. I haven't seen that artwork in probably 40 years, but it was etched into my brain. Had to do some digging to confirm but if you skip to 2:15 you will see it.
  14. Great album cover... Not sure your age or of you noticed but the artwork is almost identical to the artwork featured in the intro of the show "Good Times". I recognized it immediately from watching that show as a young child in the late 70's / early 80's. Loved that show. Skip to 2:15
  15. It is a Howlin' Wolf cover. He is one of the most legit Blues artists of all time. An absolute legend of the genre who died long before AI.... You really can't get any more authentic than that lol. And speaking of "forth grader homework"... It is spelled "Fourth"
