  1. The "things have happened and things will happen" quote makes me think the plan to compile all the single releases into an album might still be a thing.
  2. Baz also described sorry as Doom Metal, so you gotta take what he says with a grain of salt lol
  3. Yeah with Pittman & Brains buddy both playing on the track, you gotta assume the only real difference would be some minor leads from Slash & maybe a little different baseline.
  4. My theory is either a hoarder/the band leaked it & threw Monsters in to stop confusion over The General. As for them being credited on the same track, the band probably just rushed the credits after the release & since they had the same writers just registered one song.
  5. A vinlyl rip, even a good one is gonna loose a bit of quality digitally compared to a CD/download. The clipping probably got lost in the transfer
  6. Asked this in the other thread but i feel like it might be better to check here: is the astering on the Perhaps CD the same as the digital releases or did they adjust anything?
  7. Is the mastering on the Perhaps CD the same as the digital releases or did they change one/both to get an even sounding mastering?
  8. That was an interesting read. Somebody claiming to be an ex-GNR members sibling was ragging on CD lol
  9. Honestly I hope the CD version of Perhaps is mastered like The General. Not that i necessarily prefer heavy compression I'm just tired of turning up/down for Perhaps when i listen to the new singles lol.
  10. Do people really think this? The answer backing vocals are even saying "it's over"
  11. I saw something in the other thread about Izzy, does he come up in any of this or was that just fans going off on tangents?
  12. Idk I've known a lot of hoarding fans (not just GNR) who love to gloat about what they have. Idk if its for the attention or status but it definitely happens.
  13. Of course he hit you with the "i will not be answering any more questions on this" smh either its fake or the dude has no intention to share. Id love to hear that supposed clip though.
  14. As much as i wanna believe, this tracklisting reads like a joke post from this forum. A new version of Eye On You with Brain & Bucket would be cool, but i imagine its scrapped since some of the vocals were used on HS.
  15. I mean, it would have been funny as hell to include Monsters as a hidden track on a single with the General on it to troll the hardcores. Unfortunately like most things in the GNR world they took their sweet time & somebody beat them to the punch lol.
  16. Its funny this topic popped up. I actually just remixed Going Down last night. I used AI separation on the mono side, then mixed the resulting tracks with Ron's overdubs. Theres actually a lot of cool harmonies buried on the chorus in that mix, but thats usually the norm for CD songs lol. I know the band will probably abandon it/give it back to Tommy but until he releases a proper version or Guns puts out a proper album its gonna live on my CDII compilations.
  17. Im still fairly sure the soundcheck from that European leg a year or so ago was Monsters.
  18. I didn't think of that but Monsters definitely has the feel of Technical Ecstasy. Axls vocals on the verses also remind me of Ozzy. I thought that in my first couple listens before i made the connection that it could be Soul Monster.
  19. So i just looked up Gravedancer on the credits sight & its listed separately from Don't Drop tbat Dime. Then i remembered DDTD is actually a hidden track on two different songs (its on the end of Gas & a Dollar Laugh on the Japanese CD) so its not the best example. Im pretty tired so I'm drawing a blank on other hidden tracks which are not separated on an album lol.
  20. This whole one song or two songs thing is interesting. I could definitely see them work as two tracks or as one with a dip in the middle like November rain. I'm wondering if Monsters was supposed to be a hidden track on the perhaps vinyl & thats why its being counted as the same song in copyright strikes & such. Does anybody know how other hidden songs are counted on releases? Like Gravedancer/Don't Drop That Dime for instance?
  21. Axl said in the Dexter chats that Soul Monster's vocals were recorded in '07 right? Cus Monsters certainly sounds like '07 Axl.
  22. Im glad somebody remembers that besides me 🤣 if im not mistaken this was from the who for sure thought CD was just sitting on a torrent somewhere, we just gotta keep googling it lol
  23. Man Pele really poisoned this board. Now weve got everybody believing that a song slated for official release that we've almost certainly heard a snippet with vocals for is just an instrumental too.
