This is completely insane though...
"Playing a single riff that’s better than the complete works of The Beatles"
Yes, even for cupcakes
-
Someone paid for a private concert, nice
-
It was Ron, yes, and yes, he also played the final riff but sounded out of place
I was kinda surprised because he did not have time to learn his parts on the new songs, let alone Robin's parts so he just improvised over it.Maddy from this show had the best ending ever.
Oh, I have to say - Rich had always done a poor job at tempting Bucket's solo here. The solo is not bad, but by no means as good as Bucket's. However, his wah wah pedal effect is greatly exaggerated and the reberb/echo/whatever tries too hard to impress but sounds, yes, exaggerated and takes away from the original solo instead of making it better.

I do not think it is mediocre, but the album is not something I'd call complex or progressive by any means. If there's something truly complex, that comes from either Bucket or Ron. There are some great drumming from Brain as well as some special Axl moments, but they dont reach the virtuoso status that both guitarists aforementioned in this album did.
chinese tried to be over the top and came out very very mediocreChinese is complex and progressive as fuck.

So yeah, people care about Axl's GnR no matter what ex GnR bitter fanboys say
-
Progressive? Not at all.
Talking about progressive-ish performances, TWAT outro comes to mind.

This is mostly based on the info and rumors we've heard, but I honestly think he was planning on leaving - hence the countdown, people claiming that he said that he'd leave after the residency, the interview in which the interviewer mentions he's currently in Guns N' Roses, but he says "but for how long?", etc - but now he doesn't know what'll happen next. Why? The hints, the rumors, everything was pointing to his departure but now he doesn't say anything. Over the past few years there were quite a few rumors that he would leave and he denied all of them instantly, so if he's not denying now, of course something's up. My honest opinion? Either Axl gets in the studio and they write/release a new album or he's out for good. That and better communication between Axl, management and the band.

You all shut up! Haters! Naysayers! You're all jealous that Axl is relevant, singing better than ever and hired Hulk, Eto'o and Cahill as the new guitar trio plus Anderson Silva as his new head security man. The best part about this would be that he would no longer yell at the security man because he'd be too scared to do so
Axl: HEY MR. SECURITY MAN! THAT GUY, GONE!!
Silva: Talk to me like that again and I'll murder you, motherfucker
Axl: Sorry, Mr. Security (Silva interrupts him)...
Silva: Say my name.
Axl: Sorry, Anderson "The Spider" Silva. Could you please take that guy out of here? He's got a knife! I am in danger! We are all in danger!
Silva: Who do you think you're talking to? You clearly have no idea so let me clue you in. I am not in danger, Axl. I AM THE DANGER! A man opens his door and gets knocked-out you think that of me? No. I am the one who knocks[out]!
*Axl slowly walks away and asks Beta to fire Silva - but after the show, of course*
By the way this commercial seems to be less bloated and it's cracking jokes all the time. It also seems to be in a good mood.

I didnt change my vote. My vote was always yes.Changed your vote Bruno into now thinking he's leaving?
it's sad news but I had the gut feeling he's going since uk subs announced it, and seeing how Ron's dodged questions on it ever since
-
I cannot answer the question concerning why GNR sites are lacking promotion. That would be a question for their genius manager.... let's leave it at that.

There's nothing to be inspired by a man who could have died and have a permanent spinal injury who kept going, is still doing everything he did before and can show the others how he's gone through all of that, including doing a full tour a few months after the accident? He thought about killing himself but he is still here doing charity, helping people and trying to show them that they can in fact live with the pain if they are strong. If you cant find a positive message here I am sorry but I'll say the obvious - stupidity plays a big role in your life.
My last comment on it - read it again, he tried & admitted he failed. There's nothing to be inspired about by that. Anyway, let's see what happens after Vegas, if he does leave or sticks about, hopefully he clarifies it.
Of course. We all have our own opinions on things and there's no need for one person to be right or another to be wrong. I won't debate it with you, but I'd like to just leave you with one thought on it: by talking about it, Ron might have saved a life that day. Someone might have been reading this interview that was feeling exactly the same way Ron did, saw that Ron had kept going...and decided to keep going themselves. I know a few people who have been inspired not to hurt themselves by reading about others, so it might have done some good for someone with emotional need.
The context of the interview though - I hated reading that - I don't want to read that - Think of his wife?! I've had all sort of shit happen in my life, I've never thought of that, and would certainly not announce it in an interview. Just my opinion, lets not debate it, we'll all have a different opinion on it.The suicide talk wasn't an emo thing; he talked about wanting to kill himself after he was in an accident that destroyed his back and left him with serious, lasting pain and immobility. A fair number of people with severe chronic pain sometimes feel that way. And as I recall, he talked about it AFTER he had obviously decided that it wasn't a good idea.

It's not about the songs. He is performing every song much better, and when his voice is in better shape, he pulls off those old new songs. I dont know what happened there, but TWAT was probably his best performance of the song ever. Incredibly powerful.

Catcher, awesome. Love it

Add me so we can race a few times. My NNID is SpaceLink. Yes, Mario Kart is amazing! I also picked Pikmin as a free game. Am loving itMario kart 8 is amazing. I've been playing with /v/ all weekend. So many funny highlights.
There are infinite reasons to buy a Wii u.
I picked Pikmin 3 for the free game promotion with Mk8

Of fkn course Patton has a 6 octave vocal range and DLR has over 5 octaves. What's next? Jon Bon Jovi has a bigger range than Freddie?
This list is worse than the first one. Just because a singer hit a note once in a studio doesnt mean his vocal range is that big. Any decent producer can make a singer sound much better due to studio tricks. No, I dont believe for a sec that all of sudden they discovered several singers that can reach 4 octaves, 5 and even 6 (!).
I'll whistle some notes in a studio and speak low/fry a few notes so they can include me in that 4 octave wonder list.
It's not insanely hard to whistle notes, but just a few can control it and use properly. That's why I call bullshit on most of those high notes. Axl never even attempted those live so no, his vocal range is not that huge. That goes for a lot of those singers.

Dont think it's the same as London. This is better. However, this is as good as the Vegas 2012 version that will be released. That WTTJ is just the same as London 2012 version. I think people jump to quickly on the "best since philly bandwagon". Jungle has always sounded good in 2012.
Axl had a notably weaker voice in London.
Ron plays accoustic version of Israeli National Anthem

Truly beautiful acoustic piece it means a lot to who asked him to play (and to a lot more people, apparently) so even more power to Ron.
