It was perfect 3yrs ago. 3yrs later, same tour, same songs, same order... guess you can say that's fine, but most bands change the set each leg. Do you really want the audience that has seen the show 1, maybe 2 or more times already to know what songs you're going to play and what order they are coming at? No, no band wants that, but that's exactly what GNR are doing.

There's great songs in the set, but it's far too bloated. I've seen the NITL set live twice, and both times it dragged hard in the middle. The pacing isn't good, starts great, ends great, middle is far too much noodling and breaks of the action. Even Heavens door is a drag live now.

I tend to agree, however you and I know what to expect.  I’m wondering what it would feel like as a casual fan who is seeing it for the first time.

You got us a little bit worried about this one. What do you think about the recent leaks?

I’ve only heard one that was still on YouTube when I went searching for it.  I hear the terminator song is true though.  Haven’t been keeping up much with the forum lately. Like a lot of fans, I’ve taken for granted that the band is actively touring again because I’m still starved for new music to somehow make up from all of the wasted years of inactivity.

I think covers are way more likely than brand new, NITL-era songs. A new album would probably be mostly CD-era songs, maybe some re-worked stuff from the mid-90s, and maybe Wichita Lineman and/or The Seeker.

But it depends on how much music they're trying to get out, Slash has said he wants to do an 'album/tour/album/tour' cycle, it wouldn't be the worst idea to just get 10 re-worked CD-era songs out there, and work on new stuff while touring those songs. Then they can release the NITL songs 'same bat time, same bat channel'.

They could continuously fart in a microphone for 80 minutes for all I care and I would buy it.  Just please.... NO FUCKING WICHITA LINEMAN OR THE SEEKER!!!

Long time so hear, good to see you back. The original post just said "Axl's Malibu studio" so I'm not sure if they meant his house or not.

Hi Russ.  I'm coming out of hibernation.  It's been a long winter.  I don't think Axl has one of those either.  I think they would record in a legit studio with a large staff of engineers, techs, etc if they were going to give this a serious go.

It's possible I'm wrong but I think he might be one of the lucky few that made it relatively unscathed. I just feel we'd have heard about it by now, he's lived there decades and it's a well known house so I think had it burned down it would have been reported.

Friends of mine who live on his road lost their house but I didn’t think they were up for me questioning them about Axl’s house, and they probably don’t know for sure anyway.  They found out that their home burned down because someone sent them an arial photo of the areaE52-BBB35-353-E-4158-BA97-A2-F19357089-C, but I couldn’t tell if Axl’s house made it in the photo or not. They posted it on Facebook. The arrow is their house and was taken on Sunday afternoon.

You could be correct in your assumption. Slash stated in his book that for Axl to keep his Malibu mansion he would need to extend the UYI tour.

The Zillow real estate app says the approx value of Axl’s home is $6.2 million and that he paid $3.6 million for it in 1992.  Looks like he pays $60,000 annually in property taxes.   Living in California isn’t cheap.  I have a friend who lives near Axl, same road.  She and her husband have a little farm house with chickens and shit in the yard.   That little home is worth $1,600,000.

Axl is a very intelligent and private man.  I'm sure he realizes that although his Twitter is his account and not GnR, people have a hard time making that distinction so he wisely seldom tweets and is mostly sharing a headline and single thought. I would love to see him go head to head with Tucker Carlson on Fox News. I think Axl could likely do to Tucker what Tucker does to his guest.

Not a chance! Tucker is brilliant and lives politics just like Slash lives with a guitar in his hand.   Shut up and sing... no politics!

  8. I love Motley but feel they were like Kiss in that they leaned on gimmicks and a flashy live show more than good song writing.  Despite having not-so-good lyrics, I think they are all great players.  I love Mick Mars and have always liked Tommy's drumming.  They'll probably eventually get into the Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame after the elitist Rolling Stone class is no longer involved.

Like everyone else here, I'm a Guns N' Roses guy so to me, they're better.

    What about Duff?

Who knows?  I hope he makes another Loaded album.  I like his music.  At this point, I would like to go see him perform in a House of Blues somewhere with his band and play a bunch of songs that I don't know rather than go to another show on this tour.  I'm cynical though since I've seen several.  All a fan like me needs to do to  understand how awesome this tour has been is look down the row or behind me and watch some guy or girl losing their mind when the opening riff of Welcome to the Jungle comes on.
