While I think Civil War is solid, I have to disagree here. ISO, DTTJ, WTTJ, Estranged were all unbelievable!
Since I said that, it's gone downhill.

Civil War is one of their best anyway IMO, I wish they would slow the fuck down a little for it live though.

Axl's voice is shining a little on Civil War. His best vocals of the night so far.

The music sounds better than the band did with the extra guitar.

Looks like this secret GNR vault is full of recordings we already have. Otherwise, I think we would be getting more from GNR Radio.

The Austin crowd is too cool for GNR. Austin sucks.

That was the first round of dates. I believe every casual fan in Texas who wanted to see Guns, saw them in 2016.
I was surprised to see AT&T Stadium completely packed for GNR last year.
That place is HUGE!
The San Antonio 2017 show is not selling well. I am going to attempt to attend/tape this show, if I can find someone to go with me, or at least meet me in in San Antonio.
Check out the interactive seating chart: https://www1.ticketmaster.com/guns-n-roses-not-in-this-san-antonio-texas-09-08-2017/event/3A005181CA46508A?artistid=735218&majorcatid=10001&minorcatid=1
There are also about $6

Mexicans love to rock. I respect that about their culture and should have married a mexican woman with a family that loved hard rock and metal.
When you think about the number of people that live in Dallas/ Fort Worth (nearly 7 million people) and population of the Houston Metro area (about 6.5 million), it's not difficult to understand why those shows were packed. San Antonio, a city that I lived in at one point in my life is a little more blue collar and has a fraction of the number of people. I think Bexar county has about 1.6-1.8 million and a significantly lower median household income than Dallas or Houston. I'm not that surprised to see that the show at the Alamodome isn't selling great. It's a big stadium. I used to go to Spurs games there in the early 2000's and the place seemed weird for a basketball game.

This,most "elite"
I've rubbed elbows with members of their "elite" guests at their after-parties before. It's not all as elite as you might think. In Vegas, I was in the VIP section with the young guy from Pawn Stars and his trashy girlfriends, Axl's sister and a guy who was presumably her husband, Sebastian Bach and girlfriend, and a bunch of people I didn't recognize. I understand there will be a large number of tickets allocated to Live Nation and AEG ppl. The band members each have 40 tickets. What is the capacity of this place?

I love this channel. When are they going to play Two Tickets to Paradise?

TWAT when I would have paid $4k to go see the "AFD 5" but I have lost interest. I would have been more interested in hearing what a true collaborative GNR album with the original 5 would sound like as long ago as 2005, but knowing that will never happen and to quote Dr. Dre, making new music is a young man's game. I don't think anything the original line up or any incarnation could do would excite me as much as the original albums or even Chinese Democracy (because of the lore behind it and I waited so long) at this point.
By the way, off-topic, go watch that new documentary on Dr Dre and Jimmy Iovine on HBO. It's really good.

I know you want pit, but I have the next best thing! Front row of my section next to the stage! Let me know
Thanks for the offer. That's not going to help this friend of ours hang with us during the show. Still looking. Seems like the STL fans are starved for a GNR show. It's good to see, but the Pit tickets are difficult to come by.

Best case: New albums from AC/DC and GN'R. Promoted in a co-headliner tour
Worst case: NITL 2027
Axl will then lose his voice for the rest of his life and will go on a tour for the deaf in 2020 to revive his career doing GNR songs in sign language with Buckethead robot dancing to the silent music.

What stage did they use when they played Yokohama and Kobe? (It looked the same as the stadium stage but it must've been smaller since those shows were played to a crowd of 17,000 and 8,000.) I'd imagine they'll use that.
No idea. I wasn't there.
-
From what I can remember, the arena stage is the same one that Axl has been traveling with since before NITL tour.

Bro - what happened?
I'm on the outside these days. I was hoping they were trying to squeeze in a big LA show. My disclaimer in some of my comments were just what I was guessing might happen. I've been shut down since I started leaking part of the tour when it first launched. You're not likely to get any inside information from me anymore. The only thing I knew for sure is that there was going to be more North American Tour dates because we were doing business with someone pretty high up at Live Nation back in December and they told me so after I told them that I had spent a small fortune on GNR tickets and travel this year and was concerned that I might not be able to make it to certain shows this summer. They said that more shows were in the works, but he/she didnt just come out and give me a list of confirmed dates. Like many people speculating what the GNR billboard in LA meant, I had hoped they were plotting some big homecoming show.
I think it's cool that they are playing Staples Center and The Forum. I may try to make it for both.

I suppose we could get something like this: Birmingham (AL), Greenville, Charlotte, Indianapolis, Wilks Barre PA, Boise, Fargo, Albuquerque, Rosemont IL, MSG, Little Rock, Sacramento, Portland, Kansas City, Staples Center, Columbus OH, Las Vegas NYE, Montreal, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Halifax, Biloxi, etc.
but I'm still hopeful that there will be a big LA Appetite celebration.

They should call Michael Monroe to oppening, then they could play Bad Obsession with the guy who actually recorded it.
Teddy Zig Zag?

Goldenvoice is AEG Live though.
Live Nation is promoting this teaser.
Good point. Maybe it is the Rose Bowl after all.

We are getting a fall GNR tour according to my live nation contact who told me not to sweat missing the STL on sale because they were going to come around again. This was in December or January - whenever the STL date went on sale.
This has nothing to do with her opinion but I've booked a weekend in LA For July 21 weekend. Something is happening then. The same station hyping that stupid FYF Fest is also teasing the Big GNR news. If it were just tour dates, that KROQ station would probably be making the announcement, no? The coliseum is on the grounds of the festival and the whole thing is promoted by Golden Voice who also promoted Coachella. If you look at the video, they make a big deal about GNR playing Coachella last year. Nobody cares about that performance anymore. It doesn't fit in, unless it were another show(s) presented by the same promoter.

Before the St. Louis show, or in the fall sometime? Because it's also been rumored/speculated they're coming back around that area in the fall, after South America.
My money is on July 21-22 weekend, which is 30 years to the day of the release of Appetite. LA Coliseum. Big celebration. Golden Voice (same promoter as Coachella) is promoting the FYF Festival in the park around the coliseum. Maybe GNR will be the real headliner both nights at that bogus festival?
If they don't use the Coliseum for the FYF Fest, maybe the Rose Bowl?

GNR and Aerosmith are not bands that need to be co-headlining anything, both of those bands are capable of selling out an arena by themselves, now if GNR is thinking of doing a "stadium" tour again, I am guessing a co-headlining with Aerosmith or another big band is what it is going to take, but as far as an Arena or an Amphitheater show which is what I am guessing if they are going to tour in the fall and winter, those are solo shows with maybe some minorly popular opener
Agree. A live nation contact told me that this run of shows currently scheduled in US/Canada from July-October is not the final run of this tour. Maybe that means arenas after this?

If I were a betting man, I would look to Los Angeles to see what could possibly happen after the Israel show and before the STL concert. Appetite was released on July 21, 1987 according to a quick google search. I'm guessing that some of you may have time on your hands to perform a little investigation. If I were you, I would check and see what's going on at the LA Coliseum on the weekend of July 21 and July 22 - a Friday and Saturday. It's after the Tel Aviv show but before STL. The dates give them a far enough window to get home and get some rest before the big weekend. There are likely to be multiple stages for the North American tour so they could have a stage set ready to go by mid-week in LA and send their other stage to St Louis. Does the LA Coliseum give stadium tours? If so, maybe you should try calling and asking if you can book a group tour over these dates. If you are told 'no', there may be something worthwhile happening this weekend...like a GNR Appetite For Destruction 30th Anniversary Celebration!! Dodger Stadium looks like a home weekend vs. the Atlanta Braves. The Rose Bowl is open but both venues lack the historical significance that the Coliseum had in GNR's career. The shows would be too big of deal to have in an arena or another club show.
As for who would play? I have no idea. It seems that someone has spoken to Steven and gotten him in a good place with his thoughts on his experience with the band. He hasn't said anything negative about Axl in awhile so I think he would be there. The only thing about Steven is that the last time he thought he was going to be involved, he didn't say anything to anyone. No comment whatsoever. This time, he's just out there commenting about how it was great just to have a small part, etc.
I'm still not sure if Izzy would show up or not.
DISCLAIMER: My official sources within the band have dried up after I talked too much on this forum last year. This is all purely speculation on my part. It's worth holding a couple Southwest Airlines tickets with rapid rewards points for that weekend (I can cancel without penalty if the shows don't happen!!).

I guess the difference for me is because I'm at home, drinking water, and not at one of their shows hearing it after 9-10 beers. I dont watch their clips on periscope or youtube much.
