  1. Richard Fortus is a top-tier guitar player. He is super into his tone and just everything guitars as well. He deserves all of the success he's had.
  2. It Tastes Good would literally be My World Part 2. I'm kinda hoping we never see it.
  3. Unless the band puts the lyrics out in some capacity, the stuff you see on Spotify and other places is just generated from internet sites and tools that people have submitted. They are complete shit when used on a lot of the music I listen to.
  4. If those are real, Hard Skool and Perhaps are still the best of the bunch, for whatever that's worth.
  5. Pretty weird this turned into a Tommy bashing thread. He was in a band for a LONG time that barely released an album. The guy could dish all kinds of dirt on how obnoxious certain things about the band and Axl were, but instead, he just goes about his life doing what he wants. He did his part in the band and has now moved on. This whole "Tommy never cared" stuff is really dumb. Was this a job to him? Hell yeah, it was (just as it was for every other hired member at the time). Also, people really underestimate the commitment and effort it takes to go on tour, especially with someone like Axl that pulled his showing up late shit non-stop back then. I'd say he's treated his time in and out of the band with more respect than most people would.
  6. I was a big follower of this era until Chinese Democracy was released. I guess I would call it the "braids/cornrow"/Finck era of the band. It was really interesting right from the star with Buckethead in the band, then Axl hit his stride vocally in 2006 and that was amazing to see. Once the album finally got released, I loved (and still enjoy) most of it. After the release came and went though with no promotion/touring, it soured for me. I did see them in 2011 and it was an awesome show. I could just never really get into the whole Ashba era very much and never felt compelled to pick up the blu ray from that era.
  7. Physical media isn't what it used to be, but... the GNR fan demographic would still be into that sort of thing. Just because people in their 20's and younger mostly do digital doesn't mean a Guns N' Roses release wouldn't do well. I know it sounds crazy, but actually promoting something and putting together an awesome product will sell. It would also be sold on digital which would likely pay for the physical release (not including its own sales). As most have figured out, it would take a lot of motivation from the band to actually do it... I just feel like since this tour is coming to an end soon, releasing a full show (especially one from an Adler appearance) would be a great way to make some more money from the tour and give the fans something special. I don't see it being a money-losing effort. I mean, even movies that bomb at the box office get 4K releases with steelbooks these days
  8. I remember reading some possible rumors that the 2016 Dodger Stadium shows had a more beefed-up camera crew and they were recording for a potential release. Do we think there's any truth to that? And do we think once this tour is finally over, they'll finally put that together? I think it'd be a real shame to not get a professionally mixed show in at least 1080p from this reunion. The live selections on YouTube just aren't up to the quality that this caliber band should put out. What do you think?
  9. Yes, please. a B-side in the current vinyl track is literally just another track on the single release. It's not a non-album (that doesn't apply here) or lesser track.
  10. Axl usually always sounds better in person with the band kicking ass around him. Youtube/phone recordings always seek out the vocals and highlight them much more than is normally heard in a live mix. I've never been able to complain though having been lucky to only see good shows from Axl (Indianapolis 2011 with nu-Guns, Cincinnati 2016, and with Axl/DC).
  11. I wish I had the original copies... they go for a lot now. I don't think they are worth replacing previous copies. I had them briefly before reselling them.
  12. That sounds like an awesome experience. Seeing Slash that close ripping through solos would be unforgettable.
  13. I might even make that about a 0.000005% for Izzy.
  14. Nothing like reading 100 of the same comments on facebook posts about "something something riot lolzzz"
  15. I believe that deep down Axl wanted the original band to work out, but life/shit/drugs happened and they imploded. I feel like Axl releasing these random tracks now is his way of putting out the CD leftovers that he has the most personal attachment to still. He may have lost interest in some of the leaks people have heard and doesn't feel the need to put them out into the world anymore. I think he also genuinely wanted Duff/Slash to be on them at this point to make them feel more legitimate/complete to him. If that's not the reason, he could have released them years ago. I believe Axl is really comfortable with the people in Guns N' Roses right now. We all know that Izzy coming back, sticking around, and writing an album was likely never going to happen. In an alternate universe, maybe... but we're incredibly lucky the reunion that we got even happened. Do I wish they'd put out a new album with Slash/Duff writing it with maybe some input from Fortus and Dizzy? Hell yes. Maybe it'll happen still... but I'm not holding my breath. We'll see these next two songs come out and MAYBE a few more. I feel like more than 6 would be pointless and they should have just put them into an album. I just hope if we do get a new album, it doesn't include these tracks that we've already heard. I don't trust Axl to work fast enough to put lyrics/vocals to 10-12 new songs before he's 70 though.
  16. I was listening to Estranged and Perhaps came on right after. This song fits right in that era of the band. The piano and Slash's guitar work is very Illusion era sounding. Random late-night thoughts...
  17. I appreciate the input. It helps put it into perspective. I've been visiting this place for what seems like decades... but just couldn't remember all the details and info.
  18. What makes The General the holy grail of what we haven't heard? I didn't think a demo had even leaked. One thing I know though... If people are building it up to be this epic, best CD-era song ever, they are bound to set themselves up to be disappointed. High expectations are RARELY ever met.
  19. Local radio is dying a slow death. They can't be bothered to play a new song by a band more than a few times before going back to one of the well-known hits. They are that scared that someone will turn it off and never come back.
  20. It could be that he liked it better in another group of songs, or as simple as something just not feeling right with it yet... so he picked the songs he felt flowed the best and were "complete".
