Why are you trolling her Instagram and Facebook if you think so poorly of her? That "my heart had a faint whisper" post had nothing to do with Axl, as was already stated. But again, make it fit your agenda
-
That's been discussed already.

The fact that you seem surprised over such a trivial thing as me admitting that Axl was (and probably still is) a proper bastard, just tells me how flawed perceptions you have of me. Are you perhaps one of those I have insulted on some other topic? Perhaps you harbour resentment towards me because I actually like the current lineup and aren't whining about what happens? Perhaps you have seen that I don't like Slash much any more (although I loved his work while in GN'R)? Perhaps you disagree with me on whether Axl owes us anything? Or perhaps you are affronted by me not joining the mass insulting of Team Brazil but actually are open to them doing a good job? In any way, I believe I have a pretty objective and accurate opinion on Axl and that your aggression towards me is fuelled by something else. It doesn't matter, though, keep it going.I'm glad that you actually admitted to that. That's something I guess.
She didn't say it ended 10 years ago. She said more than ten years, probably signalling that that is sufficient for it to be a petty act on Erin's part and not bothering to actually count the years.Aparently Amy isn't very good at math...
That I am my takeaway from the Amy quote. I don't get the 10 years part.
That's a whole lot of perhaps and speculation for you saying it doesn't matter to you. And again, no. I like the current band (I just prefer the old lineup). I really enjoyed most of CD too. So there goes some of your Soulmonster logic out the window. I thought that you don't insult people in threads (maybe another thing you pretend to be "above"), even though everyone knows how inaccurate that is. And my aggression towards you?
-
I think she meant to say something about how the breakup happened more than ten years ago. Just goes to show the importance of grammar and sentence structure.

And to your last part: no.

Try reading further down the letter. It's him explaining why he doesn't believe he cheated. He wanted a one way open relationship apparently. But nonetheless, at least you aren't attempting to spin the first night of Bridge School. And trust me, it's quote apparent to anyone with any knowledge of you how you spin things in Axl's favor.
-
No, that's pretty much you in a nutshell. Didn't you praise the Bridge School performance?
-
Padme, Axl didn't write that, Soulmonster was hoping that no one would call him out on his (we will call it accidental) misspeak. It fit his agenda, so he went for it like he always does.
-
Just because I would never lower myself to Erin's level doesn't mean I can't discuss it. And are you always this hostile towards people of differing opinions than you? Didn't your parents teach you manners? Why are you even in this thread since you're so above discussing these things? You're so fuckin' classy.
I have an issue with stupidity and blatant hypocrisy, not so much differences of opinion. Also, you just posted something about how you didn't want to be involved in this thread, yes? Or am I confusing you with someone else?
-
This. I believe he said he never lied to her and said that they talked about how he would be with other women.
Rather he was making excuses for it.
Since we are discussing the content of the letters (which admittedly puts him in a good light but which could still be hurtful to him if they were disclosed) I think I remember that he claimed in one of the letters that he was never unfaithful to her.Maybe she still loves him. She stayed with him for four years despite the violence and cheating, so I take it her feelings for him run deep.
Good job trying to twist things yet again, Soulmonster. Why are you even in this thread since you're so above discussing these things? You're so fuckin' classy.
Or maybe he's friends with her on FB?Axl's sister Amy Bailey has commented on Erin's charity auction:
LOL bad grammar makes it look like she's calling Erin her brother.
Attention whore status. "oh, look at me. Axl is my brother woohoo"
You would have had to seek her FB page out in order to have seen it. It's not like she went on TMZ or Perez Hilton and made an announcement.

The breakup letters show Axl in a positive light? Honest question because I don't feel like it's my business to read this shit, so I haven't.
They aren't him screaming obscenities at her. Quick rundown if you care: he basically talks about how he's sorry he hurt her, she means a lot to him, he kind of explains where he was coming from, etc. It's not malicious whatsoever. It really does show a side to him that people often forget. He's didn't just walk around being pissed all the time. I mean there are little notes to their dogs! That, to me, doesn't show someone in a negative light.

Actually- Why does everyone assume that Axl is hurt/pissed about the sale? Has he even commented? Maybe he could give a rats ass. Maybe seeing these things again will be like a trip down memory lane for him...who knows.....
I was wondering this too. Nothing that is being auctioned portrays him in a negative light. If anything, it helps his public image and reminds people that he's more than just the asshole everyone thinks he is. There's a sweet side to him that is more than evident in these correspondence.

I am open for the possibilities that it is motivated by greed or pure indifference or ignorance to what Axl might feel about it. But I still believe it is a calculated move to cause pain.
I don't think we can assume that she's being petty, if I understand you correctly. Maybe she needs the money. Maybe she has no more emotional attachment to Axl and wants to turn a buck.
If she had moved on she would act so petty as to auction of intimate objects...one would hope.Good to see that some people get it. Yay for non insane Axl fans (the few there are here).
The thing that a lot of people seem to fail to understand is that though we may still follow Axl there's maybe just a chance that somebody who broke up with him in the fucking 80's has maybe moved on by now. I mean I'm 35 next year so it would be like me still obsessing over my first crush in highschool.
Last year she suported Axl in his lawsuit against a photographer exibition with that Sweet Child O Die gaffity pic of her house gate. Axl said he didn´t do it. And she issued a stament saying that Axl in fact didn´t do it. Why would she like to hurt him now?
Based on the fact that most people aren't completely oblivious to other people's pain nor to how specific actions may cause such pain, and based on my understanding that she is pretty well-off and not in the need to sell off private and intimate objects to get by.
Based on what though?I am open for the possibilities that it is motivated by greed or pure indifference or ignorance to what Axl might feel about it. But I still believe it is a calculated move to cause pain.
Exactly. It isn't about hurting Axl, but probably more about letting go. She could have just as easily said nothing in that instance, but she didn't.

Only 30%?
I think another residency, more touring, DJ saying that they're all writing together and working on the new album, BBF saying the opposite, Axl not saying anything.
-
Otherwise known as nicknames, volcano.

it's weird that her sister calls him "axl".... wouldn't it be more normal to call him bill ?Axl's sister Amy Bailey has commented on Erin's charity auction:
I think he wanted everyone to honor his name change.

Axl's sister Amy Bailey has commented on Erin's charity auction:
Thanks for posting that.
Not to sound like a broken record - but they're her items. If she no longer wants them she can do whatever she wants with them.
-
It's ridiculous to say she should just give them back or throw them away. gtfo.
Exactly. Her items. She can do with them what she wants.
It's petty to auction off something that's yours? @ Soulmonster logic.

Unless Ashley provides some concrete knowledge as to how she knows this information, especially since the opposite is all but common knowledge, I'm going to call shenanigans. It seems strange that someone would register here for the sole purpose of posting this information. Unless they use the "long time lurker, first time poster" like that's so common.
-
Like I said, righteous indignation. Especially coming from someone who twists everything in an attempt to make Axl appear to rarely, if ever, be at fault.
-
Considering they don't post rumors here there would be no reason to do that.
-
To those that think it is okay of Erin to sell off intimate, private memoria, would you be okay with this if it was any other person who did it, say Axl who auctioned of Erin's love letters to him and their private wedding tape (without consent)? Or would you now suddenly condemn the action for what it is, a dirty, low, petty thing to do?
Again, they are her items. I am quite sure that is this was Axl who was selling this none of the people feigning outrage would feel the same. None of you would be saying how unfair it is to Erin because of the personal nature. And the ones who would have the audacity to claim this are liars, plain and simple.
Items have whatever value someone is willing and able to pay. Who are any of you to question why someone would bid on these things? I love how so many here are filled with such righteous indignation. Amusing.

Good question!

The pictures yes, the post no. And no it wasn't about Axl not was it posted next to any pictures if him. Again, that was already addressed. Why would you look at the Facebook of someone you don't like and have such a problem with? Little creepy.
