  1. What a little fucking worm this cunt is. I really hope the mainstream media get ahold of this so GnR are forced to fire TB to retain their “squeaky clean” image these days.
  2. That’s because those artists appreciate their fans and are still about the art. I believe that when it comes to Slash and Duff, they have their side projects to keep their creativity flowing but GnR is the touring cash cow.
  3. I wasn’t even aware that you can do that. Sounds handy, but what do you do when it comes to songs like monsters or the general?
  4. Same, I backed up all of my cds 20 years ago, numerous downloads. All categorised. These days if I find something cool I just rip the audio from YouTube and add it manually to my player. It works for me.
  5. MP3 players were awesome, no skipping or signal dropouts. Not sure why they’ve become almost obsolete, I certainly use mine particularly whilst flying.
  6. That ship sailed back in 2008. although I’d say the record company are pushing for it, there just ain’t much $$$ in it as opposed to nostalgia touring. sad to say, but pitman called it. And he was 100% right…
  7. I remember Axl being in top form, singing as good as he ever did, looking badass too. it really seemed like he had a lot to prove back then, I never for a minute believed that just ten years later there would be a reunion….
  8. They’d have to release something from early in the NITL tour when Axl still sounded decent.
  9. 1993 is a possibility but there is zero chance of anything live from the CD era being released.
  10. What I think will happen: they’ll release a live dvd and probably a single or EP of atlas/monsters around mid next year. No new album. Nostalgia world tour at the end of 24 early 25. Then they’ll retire GnR as a touring outfit. what I want to happen: Axl to take a year off to rest his voice and get a decent vocal coach. CD leftovers Album to clean the slate for writing new shit. AFD5 reunion and world tour with a new album written by AFD5. UYI concert releases on blu ray and perfect crime doco.………….. …………..a man can dream, right?
  11. So did they use AI or something? why only release it now? I seem to remember in the mid 90s they released what were apparently the “last song”. What’s changed?
  12. That makes the most sense, we’ve heard versions of some songs that were already “written” I doubt adding a new bass line counts as a writing credit. if slash and Duff get credited must mean that whoever played lead on those songs originally probably lost their writing credit to slash which I’d imagine would be a hard pill to swallow.
  13. I’m really surprised by those credits as there were plenty of songs on UYI where slash and Duff played, obviously wrote their own parts and didn’t get any credits. It must be a contractual thing as blackstar said. but to see virtually nobody from Nuguns getting credited is surprising.
  14. Anyone know who gets the writing credits for these songs? it seems odd (to me anyway) that slash and Duff are credited for “perhaps” when it was an already fully formed song. I don’t believe Duff and Slash got writing credits for “hardskool”? so why did they get it for perhaps?
  15. I will say this: some of the lyrics people thought they heard on the cell phone clip which ultimately turned out to be monsters were way off but did sound correct due to the poor quality. Particularly: “I think it high time you should fuckin die child” “there’s a child chained to a bed now” were these based on people thinking the song was about child abuse? they actually sounded correct at the time but now with the transcribed correct lyrics it pretty easy to tell it’s exactly what Axl was singing in the old cell phone clip
  16. It’s pretty sad really, I always enjoyed the show. It’s hard to watch now.
  17. I feel the same, personally I think it’s better than anything they’ve done pre 1993
  18. I always loved the song, the Axl backing vocals are solid and the guitar solo is cool. Any idea who played the solo?
  19. After listening to monsters about 100 times I’m convinced that it’s Slash and Richard playing. however The General sounds more like Nuguns, which is confusing, Monsters is obviously the stronger song and should have been the lead single IMO. does anyone remember that cryptic post on on of their IG accounts of a screen with a horror type theme that they were watching a while back? hopefully that ties in to a new music video when they do an album with monsters hopefully as the lead single.
  20. I’ve been doing the same, it’s hilarious how far off everyone was with the lyrics too
  21. Nobody cares. The YouTube vid of the songs has been up for over 12 hours and hasn’t even hit 1000 views.
  22. Some of duffs material with loaded kicks ass. I can definitely envision Axl on vocals and there would be some cool rockers
  23. Imo Monsters is probably the best GnR song I’ve heard since UYI, it’s the perfect blend of classic bluesy GnR with the modern touch of the CD era stuff.
  24. Funny that when Fernando said “the general is a monster” cryptically he was saying that we’ve had the general confused with monster.
  25. I just don’t know…. I really like monster , in fact I’ve been cranking it on my car stereo for an hour straight as it’s the best stereo I own. Not keen at all on the general. to my ear monster sounds like Robin playing lead, especially the solo. He was quite good at doing a kinda industrial slash thing when he wanted to. I’m certain this is just an old version someone has leaked and the new one will have most parts replaced. im probably wrong…
