How come any time someone around here gets critical of Axl you start with the "ex-fan" bullshit?? Just cuz someone doesn't agree with or like the things that Axl does ( or in some cases doesn't do ) doesn't mean they're not a fan . Maybe some are just fans of the MUSIC ( the thing that really matters ), and not all the drama and backwards bullshit that goes on with GnR.

The bitter ex-fans (they know who they are) are the ones that are butthurt there wasn't a reunion, they don't like Chinese Democracy, they don't like the current lineup, etc.

I agree with you, the music (and performances) should be the only thing that matters. They're certainly the only things that matter to me.

So if someone doesn't like the music and performances, they should come to grips with the fact that they're a former fan instead of allowing so much emotional baggage to build up because their favorite lineup was not able to make things work.

What difference does it make? Majority of GNR's revenue is based on the back catalog. Majority of their show is back catalog. If this new band were able to be something other than a band in the old group's shadow, you might see a change of opinion. Until then, don't expect the huge display of butthurt on both sides to change anything.

Just because you see the shirts at SOME shows doesn't mean it's not true. With Axl's history of being furious about anything Slash, he also has the history of security guards not being his pawns.

I'll believe it is untrue when I see him be tolerant of anything Slash. Until then, I won't apply rational behavior to a proven irrational person.

Also, his rant to madison didn't say it was untrue. All he did was rip into someone about them not knowing anything. It was personal and about more than the shirt issue.

in a car crash you have the chance of saving yourself but in a plane all you can do is look out the window and say well"IM FUCKED!".but i have skydived plenty.i just won't go up in any kind of a jet plane.cause you cannot parachute out of those.no way of controlling your fate.

I have a solution: Since you're not afraid of skydiving, why not bring a parachute with you on the plane? Then you'd never be afraid.

Speaking of parachutes... After Sept. 11, a couple of companies started selling specially-altered parachutes that people can use if they live or work in buildings 10 floors or higher. Basically, the person can put the parachute on their back and can jump out a window to save themselves if the building was on fire. One company sent the pamphlet to every employee who was working in the Empire State Building.

you can't use parachutes from a commercial airliner.the force of the wind would kill you.if i were to travel oversea's it will be by boat.and in america by either car or train.

I'm not going to read back 9 pages to see if this has already been said, so I'll just state my piece.

I'm tired of these fucking garage-euro-indy mixed bands coming out like The Strokes, Vines, Hives, Jet, all these fucks. Their music SUCKS ASS. They are not cool, they are not bad ass, they are just a bunch of shitty muscians who will do whatever it takes to get their video played on TRL.

And then we come to NU-METAL.. oh lord. This is the worst shit ever. I'm talking the Korn's, Staind's, PODs, Linkin Park's of the world.
