  1. People used to tell me really often that I was « rough ». 😅

With time I’ve learned how to be more careful of people ´s feelings and not say everything « without social filter ».

My boyfriend told me once that people have to get to know me to like me. I’m not sure that’s a compliment. 😂😂

    On a totally different subject:

I’ve seen people saying that in order to understand/not be offended by Slash’s commercial you have to be the same way. (whatever that means)

Well, I can understand/don’t throw stones to people 100% different from me.
I like/need my life organised. I opened a bank account to my son at his birth to save money for when he needs it. (studies/driving lessons/appartment etc…) That’s probably why I’m not a rock star 😂😂😂

*zooms in on your DNA to reveal it's just a bunch of pies*

Fat acceptance people believe that fat people have been persecuted by society, which is brainwashed(by evil men - my bad), into not realising you're just as healthy and attractive if you're fat as fuck. And if you actually are attractive, that's probably just because the evil men are successfully controlling you(sorry not sorry).

On a wildly different note, haven't seen this before. Haunting

Well… « fat » is different from one person to another. 😅 I don’t see how it is a men’s thing? I’ve seen women beeing very mean.

At the end of the day it’s a matter of taste. Some people like chubby/confortable partners…some like very thin partners. As long as you don’t hurt people ´s feelings then it’s ok I guess.

Had a heated debate with a fat acceptance/feminist/SJW chick. My gawd. "Being fat is only genetic, everyone is attractive, men hate women and just want to oppress" etc. She's a nice girl so I went easy on her and bowed out. But I feel a deep sympathetic sadness for people like this, females in particular. What a mess society is.

    What is « fat acceptance »? 😅

I feel for the people in Europe. Texas has been in the 100's, but we have central air. I can't imagine being without any air conditioning here at all. sit's brutal. The little I go out, I can't breathe right. It's like you're in an oven. The sun feels like it's burning my skin. I don't like summers in Texas, but this year hitting over 100 degrees for over 2 weeks straight without any relief is just brutal.

Biden talked about global warming today. I doubt anything will be done to reverse it until the human race is gone and then the earth can replenish itself. Humans haven't respected the earth since time began, so eventually it will lead to our demise and then the earth will right itself once again. It's bound to happen sooner or later.  Crazy but I feel this is true.

And if this happens, and life begins again, I hope it's just animals and sea life. At least they know how to keep their planet clean and respect it. lol

I guess it’s usual in Texas that level of heat?

How did people use to cope before air conditionned?

Yes mother nature is pissed…now we ´re animals too. 😅

That's the worst part about these heatwaves around here. In some climates it gets really hot during the day but at night the temperature drops a lot, but here it often doesn't really cool off at night. Last night the temperature was still up in the 20's in the middle of the night. Good luck trying to get some sleep then.

Yes if you live in a city it’s even worse I guess. Concrete will release the heat at night. 😖

  6. I have to admit air conditioned is nice when it’s 38-40. 😅

Now traditionnaly houses were stone houses with thick walls. If you open the windows at night and close the day it keeps the cold inside and you can have « fresh air » for a few days/weeks.
In spain the stores are closed in the afternoon  before 4-5PM.

Maybe it’s because I’m not used to it but in the summer I don’t like when air conditionned is at 20.

  7. Good for him!

God I would hate being famous and not be able to just go out wherever I like. Traveling the world and not seeing it what a pity.

I remember seeing an old interview of Mick Jagger saying that he used to live in France in the 70’s in the middle of nowhere because noone knew who he was. 😂

Didn’t he live in Berlin too at some point?

Got some great news today. Jr. got a place at a brilliant new school so the wife and I are both very happy. Was a bit worried we might struggle to get her into a decent place but seems it's all worked out nicely.

We had the same problem. My son finally got accepted at a very nice school. We even had an interview with the school principal. It’s a catholic school (like almost all private school in France) so I was worried they wouldn’t accept my son as we ´re not church goer. 😅

    So…I’m happy for you.

So Covid-19 has become a fixed aspect of humanity, like the flu and the cold. Fortunately, we will develop better medicines and evolve to withstand it.

    Amen 😁

Considering that the vaccines are perfectly safe and greatly reduce severe symptoms from Covid-19, I see little reason to question the experts' recommendation that people should get vaccinated.

It is difficult to compare the use of antibiotics and the use of vaccines, because there are so many differences in how we use them and modes of action, but generally speaking we don't run into the same issue of overusing antibiotics to the point of bacteria evolving resistance to all available antibiotics, with vaccines. Sure, viruses evolve to evade vaccines, too, which is one of the reasons we see all these new strains of SARS-CoV-2, but the consequences of not vaccinated is more severe than reducing non-pharmaceutical use of antibiotics or reducing its use when alternative treatments are equally efficient, but even if they evolve we won't run out of vaccines anytime soon, we can continue to develop new vaccines again and again with little fear of running out of them.

I know someone (he ´s an « old school » genetician) He strongly believes that the RNA vaccines problem is that it only targets one specific protein/antigen on the virus. It only « kills » one variant so it’s a never ending story of mutation….new vaccine etc…

Well I don’t have the answer to that question(how to end the pandemie) …nobody does actually.

I did get vaccinated. I just wonder whether it’s the only option.

That's an awfully serious analogy for taking a vaccine that will either give you no side effects or a couple of days of fever and malaise, while the alternative is a dramatical increase in likelihood of dying from Covid-19.

Oh no, I meant catching covid19 is like playing russian roulette. 😅

Damn I really wish my english was better…

Now for the no side effects of vaccines I’d wait for thorough studies. As it increases inflammation, it can make wierd things for no explanable (yet) reasons.

It can mess up with periods for exemple. I know it’s still better than dying of covid19. IMy mom was reeeeally scared when she had her period at over 70.

  12. I guess it depends what variant you catch, your health , genetics etc…

    We´re playing russian roulette.

I just really really hope that those vaccines are not about money…

Don’t get me wrong I think vaccines are great and necessary and they do reduce the risk of bad covid symptoms for a lot of people. Now like for all medecines we should make the balance risk-benefit. Maybe like antibiotics , using them wisely makes more sense.

  13. I’ve had 3 moderna shots. It’s been awfull all 3times. Very sore arm, fever for 24hours and very tired.

I’ve caught covid 8weeks ago and it wasn’t worse than a bad cold. (My father in law who refused any shots had a bad cold too)

I work at a cancer research lab (sequencing) . I know how vaccines « work », I should be 100% pro vaccines but I really start to wonder if those vaccines really help. (I mean except for people with a condition)

So the fourth shot turned out to be the roughest.

It was 24 hours of a really sore shoulder/arm, to the point where I really couldn’t move it without a lot of pain.  Then the fever hit me later in the day and I started to feel nauseous and dizzy.  So essentially a day crashing on the couch passing out to old episodes of Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Woke up this morning with a slightly sore shoulder but now feel fine.

    Moderna ?

    😖

Spoken with true ignorance and cluelessness. Well, I'm hoping for you, you will never get to know differently.

    I agree…

I’m 44 and I use earplugs even at the movie theatre as loud sounds sometimes hurt. I can’t ear silence…. 😅 I fall asleep with headphones on.
