  1. Some rotation spots could be fun, like Shadow/Reckless or Brownstone/Michelle
  2. The General is going to be surreal . If we ever got Tonto, Soul Monster, Berlin, Zodiac, and Quicksong with vocals I’d be ecstatic. Would be cool to hear Seven and Idea of March if those were ever finished, too.
  3. Very old poster from like 10+ years ago. I wouldn’t put stock into that, it’s probably a troll
  4. Awful Just the worst addition possible to the band
  5. Yup, I’m very happy as a fan. I know we all want an album, but The General is the song we would have wanted the most off of it. I’m stoked it’s coming I also don’t think anyone in Guns intended for it to implode in 2016. Getting together for Coachella clearly meant it was supposed to be a permanent thing. It just could have imploded
  6. How is the guitar bad? There are like 3 mini solos that are textbook Slash and what he does with the slide for the main one is pretty cool
  7. Maybe this will force DJ into a GNR reunion #hopeandpray #dementedreunion #2Guns2Roses
  8. After a bit over a week, I think this is a pretty solid song release. As a song, it’s a little bare with the parts and lyrics, but it works. Axl seems to like the verse-chorus- bridge/solo- verse- chorus arrangement which is a bit unconventional. They do it on You’re Crazy, Yesterday’s, and Sorry, too. It’s hard to judge because we’ve only gotten 18 original songs in like 30 years, so it’s easy to want everything to be incredible. Without that lens, this is a fun tune. Some cool melodies, a great Axl- chorus, catchy piano, and some Slash and Duff to add the classic- GNR sound. It doesnt overstay its welcome, and even though the lyrics repeat, there are some flourishes with the guitars, piano, and drums that keep the last bit interesting. Song sounds great the more I listen to it. I for sure like the final Absurd and HS versions more than the demos, but I like different things about Perhaps’ two versions. Chorus sounds heavier on the original, and I like a lot of Robins playing. Mix is better on the final and it’s bluesier. Sounds more like a GnR song whereas the original sounded like an early 2000s song (which it was) with Robin’s guitar tone and style. Final is actually less in-your-face with the guitars (aside from the solo), but there are still a lot of cool things going on quietly in the mix to bring it out. Slash s was relatively reserved on this one whereas he was all over Hard Skool and Absurd with lead guitar. Suits the song. Glad to have both and I do really dig how it turned out.
  9. I feel like they did take some extra steps to help him this tour. The backing vocals are utilized a lot more and they added songs that are easier to sing like PTU and BO. Vocals sounded good in person at the Fenway gig. It’s more than acceptable for a live show. The dude is 60
  10. We don’t know the entire story. In a perfect world, they would have all had fair- equitable shares in the reunion money for the 2016 shows and they could have had Steven (more consistently) and Izzy on stage. No one could have predicted how successful and professional the reunion would have been at the time. We are in year 8 of the reunion and there’s been essentially no drama. They’ve raked in the dough and reclaimed the GNR name Maybe they wanted more money, maybe they didn’t believe Izzy and Steve were reliable for this, who knows? I don’t think having either would have been that much of a risk. They wouldn’t have had to dump Fortus and Frank. Plenty of big bands have an ensemble of session guys. You think Keith Richards is doing the heavy lifting at a Stones gig? Think again
  11. Royal blood Rolling Stones The General
  12. Sabbath rocks. I only got to see them once, but I’m glad I did
  13. If I wasn’t camping I’d try and go. I enjoyed the Boston show that much
  14. Luckily there’s still PTU, BO, AG and Perhaps to consistently shake it up. I think Hard Skool and RL were rare last USA tour, too
  15. I dig it actually lol. Much better than the hideous Boston one I passed on That’s a good point. Both 2016 ones were Mafia themed (I have the second one). The MJ one was super cool. If I went to that show or was from Chicago I would have def gotten one
  16. It was sad as fuck when Homan passed. He was excited for the reunion
  17. Fuck dude, that’s actually awful. Anyone that posted here?
  18. I’m a Detroiter and I can say if you can make the show tomorrow in Chicago, do it! This tour is great
