I'm confused. If he auditioned in early '06, that would have been Bucket's spot that Ron got. Robin was already filling the lead guitar spot, not to mention Richard there as well. So he wouldn't have been auditioning for "Slash's spot".
he said '05 if that makes a difference.

News my interview with Trev Lukather. I didn't know about this prior to the interview. Found this old thread afterwards.

The lawyer did a good job in offering a balanced view on things despite being a GNR fan. I don't think he even indicated whether he personally believes the accusations unless I missed it.
What was not a balanced view was the excerpt from Doug Goldstein's memoir. He says that if there had been abuse he would have noticed something because supposedly he knows the signs of abuse. Then he goes on to recall all these incidents that I think anyone of sound mind would recognise as signs of abuse, but Doug is just blind to what is right in front of his eyes. Not to mention the repeated "Don't poke the bear." Maybe Axl belongs to a zoo then.
fyi there was still so much work to be done with his book...phrasing, narratives, fact-checking. Consider these "excerpts" just well-organized stories and thoughts. I enjoy sharing some stories when they make sense to, otherwise they'll just sit on my OneDrive taking up space.

TLDR: If this goes to court, this will be far from an easy time for Sheila Kennedy. Very curious to see how it plays out (if it doesn't settle first).
No need to apologize. I appreciate you taking the time to listen and write all that. Good points all around.
Doing an episode on this subject wasn't an easy decision, but since I base my content on honesty and not blind fandom, I'd be fake if I didn't discuss it at this time. That littlemichellelives woman wanted to get on my podcast a few years ago, but it felt like I was being used as a way to legitimize her story. Didn't feel right. I didn't want that.

Decided to have a rational n' reasonable discussion about the recent suits against Axl and Fernando. I invited a lawyer/GNR fan to help break it all down. Hope you enjoy.

Yes he does. Hollywood, Florida show.

You may have read about this story on Reddit or Loudwire. I recently spoke to GNR fan Chris Passmore and his 9-year-old-son Cooper who had a special concert experience thanks to Vanessa and Beta. Cooper ended up on-stage and Axl's dressing room during the show.
A lot of bad stuff gets said about Team Brazil, but I think this is pretty sweet.
First is a short clip with some of the videos the dad took. Second is the whole interview.

Join the fun if you want to defend Axl with me. I'm getting death wishes, called a woman-hater, and a rape apologist. Happy Thanksgiving.
A reminder that I have had hundreds of hours of conversations with people that knew or know Axl at all different points of his life. Women, minorities, gay...all those who Axl is supposed to be against. The ONLY person that has ever said anything bad about Axl is Alan Niven.
I'm also not a brainwashed fanboy that if real evidence came to light, that I wouldn't change my feelings. Fun times in GN'R world!
EDIT - Btw I'd like to interview a lawyer/GNR fan for a rational conversation on the podcast. DM me if interested.

Recently interviewed producer Big Chris Flores. You may know him from Slash's solo album as he produced a few of the tracks. One of which was an unfinished demo from Chester Bennington that was shelved, and the song became Doctor Alibi with Lemmy. Below are the full episode and a highlight clip of the story behind it, full demo included in both. FYI I'd like to donate whatever YouTube gives me from these streams to charity, so I hope you listen often

The NIN guy on @Gambit83 podcast said he had all of the demos from Chinese 20 years ago.
Just made a clip for your viewing pleasure...

If this has already been answered, I'm sorry, but how was the original link discovered since GN'R themselves didn't push?

Documentary Crew? They have had people filming on and off for years. I recall an early episode of @Gambit83 podcast where a guest (I forget who, I think a journalist) had mentioned being interviewed for it by a british guy and that others had too. Hopefully he can remember and post if i'm not going mad. I remember thinking it sounded "Official" and not some crappy TV thing. I think this was around first reunion gigs.
I know Dale Resteghin was shooting in 2010 for South American tour, and there was the 2006 stuff by I think by Lush Productions. Obviously the most well known stuff is the Perfect crime doc. Perhaps they are filming again?
Wish I could remember! Art Tavana maybe?

Vicky's 3rd time on the podcast. Guns N' Roses' very first manager detailed her life in the 2016 memoir, "Appetite for Dysfunction: A Cautionary Tale," which is now available as an audio book. We chat about the early days of GN'R, her relationships with the band now, an upcoming 80's doc, "I Want to Rock," on Paramount Plus, plus more!

Guide the conversation in a different direction. I know dirt sells and everyone loves it but your approach is a breath of fresh air in that respect.
Thank you. Though, I'll still have incidents like Kip Winger. I create highlight videos of certain topics after they are picked up. Yes, to create more content, but also to give context to the headlines they create. Kip felt the need to write me an email about how I highlighted the Metallica stuff, criticizing my integrity.
In a now-deleted post, I apologized to him and that I do my best to avoid this stuff. This was shortly after Mike Portnoy publicly complained that his Matt Sorum story got picked up again, so I felt a bit on the defensive. Then Kip calls my cell to reem me out. I had to literally explain that I didn't force him to talk bad about Lars, don't control Blabbermouth, and why I post highlights that aren't just about Winger's new album. The convo ended well, but you'd think someone who has been interviewed countless times like Kip would get it by now.
So, that is why I get a bit gun shy with some questions...especially if I ever hope to interview Slash or Duff one day.
That said, I'm interviewing again Vicky Hamilton today. She gets it

I saw Tommy at a meet and greet before a show he did in Athens, Georgia in 2022. He said he has not spoken with Axl since he left in 2014, but this was not a huge change from when he was in the band. He said outside of touring/studio time, he could probably only count one one hand the number of times he actually hung out with Axl outside of "work". Tommy said Axl was that way with everyone; he likes being private. I would imagine it was not different from Duff or Slash's relationship with Axl today. I was, however, also bummed to hear Axl was not happy with Tommy. Like you said. Tommy was inthe mix for GN'R for a lot of up and down times and only left when it became impossible to keep going. When I spoke with him, he said he still talks to Del James, Richard, and Frank often and DJ semi-regularly.
Big balls to Brando for bringing up Buckethead to Tommy. He gave a similar answer when someone asked about Bucket at the meet and greet. I know they did not get on well. Also, even bigger balls for saying Tommy was in Collective Soul (he wasn't).
I said Collective Soul instead of Soul Asylum? Do'h. And I wasn't about to dig deeper given his reaction to Bucket wasn't nice.

Kinda weird Tommy leaving would put him in a bad light with Axl (his words). Tommy gave the band almost two decades and wanted to be home with his family. Respect. I take it they no longer speak?
You might be able to tell I was caught off guard by that. I try to avoid the negative, but as soon as Tommy said that I was like uh oh there's a headline.

I'm trying to convince Azam Ali to have Bucket just be there on Zoom when I interview her again about their album.
Short interviews scheduled though with Steve Turner of Mudhoney and Geezer Butler.
