  1. There wern\'t many opportunities after the release of TSI? to get it signed.

    R.

Who said they all signed it at the same time?

Ive found that with a lot of guys (Slash, Matt) they wont sign anything with Axls signature on it, where Axl wont sign anything with anyones signature on it (I tried both, and have been turned down, only to have them sign something with out each others signatures on it).

So it may very well be that Slash/Matt/Duffs signatures are real, but Axls probably isnt. Or if Axls signature is real, Slash/Matt/Duffs signatures probably arent.

That is unless you found them all immediately after the release of the album, before they all broke up, and had them sign it, which seems pretty unlikely as Axl disappeared soon after and Slash was touring with Snakepit, Duff was back in Seattle and Matt was back with The Cult.

  2. Maybe it is not a surprise guitarist at all ... but a new surprise singer, maybe Axl got hold of Liberace? He could really pull off those high notes on the CD demos ... !!! As for new guitarist? Maybe CC Deville from Poison!

    Yah! :xmassrudolph:

Liberace died like 20 years ago.

  3. If they do release another Greatest Hits, I would be willing to bet $50,000USD that there will be a new track(s) on there to spur sales. Maybe Axl would put a couple bsides on the Greatest Hits, or some other songs that arent planned for Chinese Democracy.

  4. With the ClearChannel fallout, riots, etc. that took place during the last tour, do you think a U.S. tour is even a realistic consideration? Who will back and underwrite the tour? Who would the promoters be? I see these as realistic problems for Axl in the United States. With that in mind, I think Outtagetme will be taking a European Vacation this summer. Otherwise, I may only be watching the 2006 Chinese Democracy Tour from ebay bootleg DVDs.

RELEASE THE FUCKING ALBUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :fuckyou::fuckyou: We're ready to rock...

Promoters would be more willing to put up with Guns N' Roses if there was some kind of hype behind them. With the 2002 tour it was just a tour out of nowhere. Now promoters know that there is more of a demand, and the leaked songs are catching on some.

I think promoters will be a bit more tolerant this time around.

  5. Finally some sort of confirmation of some tour dates!! My question is simple, is Rock In Rio televised in the states? I remember when RIR3 was going on that it was on PPV or something like that, but I never really looked into it, and to be honost forgot that RIR3 was even happening at the time.

Is it televised, like on indemand cable, or is it just a sattelite thing?

  6. I contacted Merck to find out why some radio stations, such as WAAF, are playing at least one of the leaked tracks - IRS. I asked if GNR management had given them permission to do so.

    He said no.

No quite the opposite. They have all stopped playing it as they are complying

    with "cease and desist" letters.

So, if anybody is still hearing the track being played, please post the name of the radio station in this thread.

I heard it on the radio home this morning, which station you ask? Im not going to tell, because Merck is sucking balls, and I dont want my radio station to get in trouble. Guns N' Roses has to be THE hardest band to deal with, while 99% of bands out there are fighting to get on the radio, GNR is the only band that doesnt want to be on the radio.

  7. Yeah I downloaded but I haven't waited since the 2002 VMA's (when I became a fan) to not buy the album when it comes out. I'm buying that damn thing on the first day just like with Contraband. We've been waiting for this album long after the fair weather GN'R fans gave up interest back in the beginning of 2003 so please get off the soapbox.

P.S. Lisa Reed don't give us crap. We're the people who support your Husband's employer even in bad weather.

We are the ones that allow her to write her shitty books, without GNR fans, Dizzy would still be some bum, probably dead 15 years ago. Its because of GNR fans that Axl got the money to add him to the GNR payroll and to allow Lisa to do nothing but write cruddy books and call herself legit.

(Sorry, Ive read one of her books, sucked shit, dont buy it, buy some cow manure instead).

  8. Ive listened to the clearer IRS version (I had the old one when it was first leaked) and even if this WASNT a demo, it would be an awesome song. It has so much depth, and so many layers all intertwined perfectly. If your not into composition or anything you might not notice or appreciate it, but very few bands can pull of what Guns N' Roses has.

It has so many layers, from effects, to keyboards, to guitarists, to bass, and to have enough room to let Axl be Axl, is truely amazing.

I was skeptical, I will admit it, I didnt think he could pull it off, but he has proven me wrong on all counts, it does have an 'industrial' or at least 'effect laden' undertone, but he still keeps the integrity of rock in tact, he doesnt over do the effects and processing, but uses them just enough to add another flavor to the tunes.

The vocals could be brought out more, but that is something that is fixed in final mastering when its all compressed and the levels are brought to a level playing field and such.

If Chinese Democracy can have tunes of this calibur, then I think it will be a Top 5 album, but I heard the clip for 'Better' and its just that, better. Im at a loss for words, this is the first time Ive ever been REALLY excited about this album. It sounds like Guns N' Roses, but its in a different direction.

I can see the evolution from Use Your Illusions to Chinese Demoracy the same way I saw the evolution from Appetite For Destruction to Use Your Illusions.

I think its safe to say that THIS IS GUNS N ROSES. Great job GNR.

  9. Yeah sure, no one will download it now. Its like dangling a bag of crack in front of someones face and telling them 'DONT TAKE THE FREE CRACK, WAIT ANOTHER FEW YEARS AND ILL LET YOU BUY IT!!'

Plus, they are demos, Guns N' Roses has tons of demos out...

  10. i doubt anyone will ever read this post, but ill still put it out there, if someone has the clip and is willing to share it, PM it to me if you would be so kind.

im very interested to hear if this new song is different from IRS...

i also heard a better quality IRS was leaked as well, is that true?

  11. www.usarockfestivals.com:

Go there and click the Ozzfest picture...apparently he's revealing the headliners later this week, and its either gonna be GN'R or AC/DC.

That was pasted from another forum.

If this site is legit, he has heard info GNR might play ozzfest, the summer metal tour in the U.S. Supposedly they are broadening its appeal this year. By what he wrote, he heard GNR will play but its not confirmed, and the headliner will be them or AC/DC.

IMO this is a good thing if they did it. It would give them a chance to play in front of a lot of people, piggy back on a big bill. They, like Richard said, must "start from scratch" and this is perfect. They can pay their dues on that, cover the U.S. in three months, have the record out, and then tour on their own after that. Sort of an appetizer, eh?

Only problem I see is that on a festival they have to go on stage at a certain time every night. LOL - good luck with that. It is easy for people to call bullshit on this like everything else, but you never know.

Well, this makes more sense than Velvet Revolver playing Ozzfest...

  12. 26 songs nearly finished

taking into account the time they need to record and finnish songs how long will it take before they are all finished, then artwork, promotion, shoot a video

will they be able to wrap it all up before rock in rio

my thought is that if 26 are nearly finished, and 13 are going to be on the album, then he is pretty close to finishing the music part. so i have a feeling they are past the 'writing' stage, and have moved onto the production and mixing part.

so my guess is that the album is around 80-90% finished, all that needs to be done is the mixing/mastering, and then all the label stuff (which should be done pretty quickly).

so i would think that May-June would be a good guess. 3-4 more months.

  13. if Chester Bennington was in another group other than Linkin Park, then he wouldnt get this kind of flack. If he was in a hard rock group, I think that group would kick major ass.

So, Linkin Park needs to get rid of that DJ dude, and that fruity rapper, then they should be alright..

  14. All the GN'R products you see on shelves today are licenced by W. Axl Rose.

    <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

    i didnt know that

    and did you mean produced?

    <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

i dont think Axl produces them, i very much doubt he sits in the studio and makes tshirts all day, although that would explain a lot of things.... lol.....

but he licenses out the rights to the GNR logo/name an all that jazz to different companies...
