I thought it was a good and fun interview. I do have a confession, ive never seen them in concert. Sacreligous i know . If and when they tour here i will be absolutely getting a ticket.

I wish they would get themselves back to Australia and start their PowerUp tour here. I mean with so few Covid-19 cases it makes sense. They can play here in Brisbane to 50 000 at Suncorp stadium and probably big crowds in most other states too. F*ck it, I'll call their manager right now... :D

It was cool to see Axl on the t.v last night for a few seconds, sharing the stage with the boys.

Got the shipping notification for my yellow vinyl! I'll probably cave and listen to it on Spotify though despite saying I'd wait for the vinyl. I've at least avoided the leak.

Undecided if I go the yellow vinyl, picture disc, or the regular black vinyl. I’m more of a traditional kind of guy so I like the black vinyl, but the other options look so nice!

What did ya'll expect? ACTUAL Guns news? Don't worry the new merchandise for this month will be out shortly!

What! New merchandise? Woohoo! Where did this info leak. Was there a leaked fake but real photo of a piece of paper that has the details of a new GnR toilet lid or something f’n equally bitchin’ on it? How many Tuesdays until release? 😁

Understand the point, but I just think folks look at it the wrong way. The music, songs are there regardless of the package(s) they arrived in.

I happen to love most of the 30 songs. Only a few I'm not wild about. So the Illusions on the whole are just as great as Appetite to me.

But for those that only like half of it -- or 12 songs as you put it -- should try to see things outside of a closed box.

Who cares that the 12 songs were spread over 2 albums? It doesn't matter. The material is there. Magically eliminating the other songs doesn't somehow make the remaining ones any better or worse.

Fact is, despite only releasing 5 original studio albums, GN'R has a longer list of beloved songs than many musical acts that have released 2, 3, 4x times the amount.

Oh I share your love of the UYI albums. I love just about all the songs and even embrace the different and less popular ones 😊

However, I stand by my point that if this album was released -

    Civil War

    Yesterdays

    Breakdown

    Locomotive

    Dont Cry

    You Could Be Mine

    Estranged

    Bad Obsession

    Double Talking Jive

    November Rain

    Dont Damn Me

    Coma

with one of LALD or KOHD

would have resulted in the critics claiming it as another masterpiece.

Although at the time I seem to recall the Axl said well these are a bunch of songs we have worked on, so here ya’ go fans, enjoy them. I admire him for doing what he wanted.

No. Because Tool aren't managed by some brazilian housekeepers

Tool is not your typical rock show. You have to be into this kinda stuff. Art is not for everyone

Exactly, I went to see Tool at two shows earlier this year and thought they were amazing. Maynard did take a back seat to the rest of the band, but still has a presence about him.

In my opinion, they kinda had. Illusions have some of Guns' greatest songs, but as albums they are a bit disjointed. They are good albums, but they had the potential to be great albums.

I think if one UYI album with the best 12 songs had of been released it would possibly have been considered up there with the great rock albums, so a bit diluted down by the release of two double albums.

I wouldn't expect him to sing exactly like AXL/DC for every song. But some like Out Ta Get Me he definitely could.

If I had it my way at this time at Axl's age it'd be a shorter set(with new songs and lots of rotating alts) and meaner, even if that means a little slower, vocals. He should move around the stage less too, that probably helped him with ACDC.

    I'd love some acoustic shows.

Yeah definitely great suggestions - I feel exactly the same!

I’m disappointed for Axl as much as I am disappointed by him.

He’s tarnished his legacy but he’s done well not to go full Michael Jackson. Mental health problems, incompetent parasites managing him, the lack of confidence that made him cling to the GNR brand on his own.

In terms of the weight, it is out and out body shaming in an age where it wouldn’t be allowed over a female celebrity but it only comes from a place where everyone wants him to be and look better. He’s obviously not happy with it himself but photoshopping and editing side profiles out of live footage isn’t the answer. It’s the management’s answer but it isn’t THE answer that’s gonna make Axl feel good about himself.

As for the lack of new music, well, again I’m disappointed for him as much as by him...

There’s nothing wrong with Axl’s weight. He’s probably within his normal BMI for his height and age. It’s his voice that has been a problem. Not his weight. Millions of Americans are morbidly overweight, Axl is not one of them. He ain’t’ even close.

Axl sounded fucking incredible with ACDC. Wish he'd put that level of effort in with GNR.

With all due respect mate, AC/DC songs suit Axl a lot more these days. They are challenging in their own right, I’m sure, but are way slower and don’t have long sentences that are too hard for Axl from a pulmonary perspective (out of breath).

I’m sure too though that Axl also wanted to give it his all and impress a band that he grew up loving. So yeah, there’s that too which makes you right 👍

yeah i missed seeing gene snd ace. I would liked to have seen gene as the setlist covered old KI$$ songs that the band dont play.

The fact is, the bands may whinge about the distance, im sure they are getting compensated well by the promotors to come down here. These bands that have been around for 30 years, and really would not need the money. I doubt gene isnt short of a dollar. For newer bands thats different. Considering how well our economy has been going compared to some overseas countries and how good the AUD has been.

The last big tour i saw was earlier this year was whitesnake and scorpions. Scorpions i so hope they come back!.

Whitesnake and Scorpions are legendary bands - well done! My last two bands I got to see earlier this year were Cold Chisel at A day on the green (they were brilliant), and Tool here in Brisbane and flew to Melbourne to see them again. They were amazing.

Ace and Gene were fantastic. It was a small intimate venue, and I spoke with the owner of the Tivoli later on and he said Gene was lovely. He walked around talking to all the staff and gave the owner one of his box sets or something.

It would be awesome if Australia can clean COVID-19 a bit more and entice overseas bands to come back and play soon. 👍

Reminds me when i saw the eagles early 2019. Don henley told the crowd they wont be doing anymore overseas  touring like Oz anymore, so glad i saw them off my bucket list.

Nice one mate, I’ve tried to catch a few older bands too over the years. Deep Purple here in Brisbane a few years back was one example, for guys their age they were phenomenal. Gene Simmons & Ace Frehley more recently another one. I think with Australia such a long way away the bands would start to question the time and energy it takes to tour here. So yeah, take the opportunity to see the legends Especially 👍

It’s a solid lead single, though I thought RNR Train and Play Ball were stronger. But it’s exactly what I expect from AC/DC and that’s not a bad thing.

I agree, they have played it a few times today on our hard rock station here in Brisbane, Australia, and it’s been well received. The band was also being interviewed for a while, no mention of Axl though.

So yeah, a solid tune that perhaps with this crazy year so far people maybe appreciating something reliably familiar. Brian sounds great. Obviously studio recording can be manipulated but he is AC/DC, so I’m glad that he returned and wasn’t replaced by Axl.

What if you knew for certain it would the last time these guys tour music live?

Living in Australia is motivation for me to see GnR, and many other bands, each time they are out here because I always think this could be the last time. And to be fair and honest, Axl and GnR have been awesome each time I have seen them play here over the past 27 years 🤟🏼

Cornell releasing music and topping the charts from beyond the grave. But hey, Guns N' Roses split the tour highlights videos into individual tracks.

Yeah mate, Cornell figured out a way of releasing music, must have been divine intervention. Might be the only way that we will ever get new music with Axl Rose on it, when he's dead and TB are profiting from it.
