  1. Remix's are shit - can anybody name a good one by any band / artist ???

Better is a great song. Axl's voice is phenomenal - its strong and has venom to it. He has the best rock voice on the planet. This Remix is not good at all in my opinion.

  2. I don't know. I'm going to have a kick ass time on the 24th in Atlantic City at my first GN'R concert. I just find it strange how, even with a smaller setting and more hardcore fans, they play the standard set-list. I'm not even suggesting playing new songs, I would think they would atleast play songs they hardly play: My Michelle, Think About You, Nice Boys, Catcher, There Was A Time, Scraped, Out to Get Me.

    :shrugs:

Thats what most people would do. Sadly Axl doesnt think this way. In fact it sucks a fkn lot. He should give band members a bigger role so theyd help to choose the songs...but no. Axl apparently likes the way people refer to him as the dictator. Ron and Ashba would be playing a lot of new and older songs. Ron once suggested that the band should play a new song each leg of the tour...if they had listened to him we would have half of an album right now. Its just sad to see such a talented singer follow an even more ridiculous route.

Only on this board would people be criticizing a setlist without actually knowing what the setlist is.

Im talking about several other tours and not this one. If you are happy with a kickass touring band, cool. Im not and they're wasting their talent. One album in 10+ years? That is ridiculous. Why cant Axl at least play all CD songs? That is beyond ridiculous.

Yeah, I'm sure playing ALL CD songs would go over well with the more casual fans. These shows are not designed with the more hardcore fans in mind.

At least alternate the Chidem songs. Say switch Sorry for ITW. Something, anything.

If The World would be fuckin' fantastic. Even just a stripped down version would be sweet.

Ok CoolRanchDressing dude ... I emailed this person the other day to which I got a response " Very Funny ! " .

Now I have just phoned this person ( It's 1245pm on saturday afternoon in Australia and 9:45pm friday in NY) and had a conversation with her. Her name is Pseu (As in Sue) but for some fuckin' reason she whacks a P in front of it... Anyway, she a first didn't believe me when I said I was calling from Australia - too which I replied well I can do a pretty amazing Aussie accent then!, then after convincing her that I was in fact an Aussie we had a chat. She told me they are a community radio station and she gets paid nothing to dj there. So she said there was no way she was gonna play anything from Chinese Democracy - no matter how hard I begged ( I mean c'mon those classical listeners could appreciate the french horn arrangement on Madagascar right ? ). So she advised me to get on a site called Iheartradio.com and look at commercial radio stations to bombard with our requests. Do any of you local New York people know of the best rock station in the Manhattan area to contact? That might be our best bet.

Anyway, I'm afraid we were barking up the wrong tree with that one :)

Good on ya mate! Did she say anything about not playing old GNR or was it specifically CD-tracks that she didn't want to play?

She was a bit rude at first and didn't believe I was an Aussie but after convincing her I was she told me she loved Olivia Newton-John. Anyway I said she was hot in 'Xanadu' and I enjoyed the single 'Lets Get Physical' all those years ago but thought maybe Cold Chisel, The Angels, Midnight Oil or ACDC might be a better choice of Australian music.

She said that it was a classical music radio station and then I thought that November Rain or Estranged could be a go but no she just kept repeating "I'm not going to be your Guns N Roses Dj"... Anyway, I got her to admit that GnR was an iconic American Hard Rock band and thats as far as she would be nice to GnR.

So Screw you Pseu, from Pscott... !

Got any other phone numbers for me to call? I fuckin' hit up all the radio djs in NY state if you want me to :)

  5. I'm wondering if they're gonna pull off a 3-hour show in a small venues..

Good question - maybe a shorter 2 hour set or something???

Anyway, i'd pay $1000 to see Axl and the boys live and up close and personal. Seriously. I wish they would do this in Australia one day. Enjoy the rare experience if you're lucky enough to get a ticket. :)

  6. Paid $170 for Soundgarden so I would pay a heap for my favorite band Guns N Roses

Was Soundgarden good? Did they debut any new songs? Because they have also been writing new material for a new album right? Hhhmm , i bet their hatdcore fans are desperate like us for new songs... :)

  7. I paid $220 in my country to see Axl's band in 2010, so I think $125 for a small venue show is a great price. :shrugs:

Yep and at the risk of pissing them off, 90% of the time it's always Americans bitching about the ticket prices.

Don't piss of the Americans dude! They're keeping us Aussies safe from the Indonesians!!! :)

  8. Any Guns action is great I agree, but too early for new album. Later 2012 though will see a higher probability of the next chapter of Axl's musical career...
