Since the video featured members of the crew, family and entourage, they would be there, too.

It's easy to blame everything that's wrong with GN'R on Beta and Fernando, but do you really think there would be any major changes if they were gone? Communication with fans would probably be better with a different management and maybe the merch (which I don't care about) would be better, too. But that's about it. It wouldn't bring more releases or better mixed songs, and Axl wouldn't suddenly sound better or start doing interviews. In short, it wouldn't change the way Axl does things.

I know what you are talking about. Obviously TB don't have full control over GNR but we know that this family has been living with Axl for a long time and been around him almost everywhere right?

So one cannot rule out the influence Beta would have on Axl's way of thinking and motivation to do things in the music business as well.

But overal, I agree, Not much would change overnight by that. And anyway, it's a little bit too late for any change.

Wow, you want to put someone in jail who hasn't been found guilty

No, that's why I said "I Hope". And I know I sound childish but like I said, one way or another, I would love to see that spoiled son of Beta get a spanking. That's all.

This is a civil case not a criminal case, so nothing so dramatic will happen. But you can dream on

Yea I know. But I would really love to see Fernando gone from the whole GNR picture. With this case or any other way.

Him and Beta appearing everywhere including GNR's first music video after decades was so disgusting.

I'm just sick of associating GNR with these clowns. Personally it has ruined my imagination about the band.

He’s not even married, doesn’t have kids. Does he just lay poolside with a Margarita in his hand and a Beta-approved girlfriend’s boob in the other?

  4. It's an interesting topic actually.

Not sure if it's a quirk or not, but since 2001 Axl seem to develop this habit of playing a lot with his in ear monitor and the thing attached to his waist. Also using hand gestures with angry face at the sound man to raise something up or down. Even calling them to come fix it for him (example: RIR 3 The Blues)

Although I haven't seen him doing this in recent years after the reunion.

I might as well tell the story of when I became a fan again. Because I lost interest in the 90s. The UYIs were great but then all the drama of the band, Axl's behavior, and the bloated live performances made me feel indifferent to the band. There was something immature and dated about it, especially compared to their peers at the time. And the songs had become more hit or miss, and obviously weren't written as a band anymore. It simply wasn't the band I had fallen in love with. No Izzy, no Steven, no cohesion, just guys obviously at odds with each other behaving all rockstarish. And I got into other music and artists which I felt was just as great. So I guess the band changed, but maybe even more so did I.

Fast forward to 2006 and I found myself getting interested again. I grudgingly started to admire Axl for his relentlessness, his ability to get up again after being knocked down, his refusal to throw in the towel. And he could still belt as hell. The live performances in 2006 blew my mind. This was better than the grating, saw-machine delivery of the 90s. It was still a freak show, but it wasn't a cohesive punkish gang turned into bloated rockstars, it felt more real again although very weird. And they did the old songs justice and also had new music which I really liked. So I sort of got into the band again for different reasons than why I got into the 1988 band. But it was still great, not in the way music can affect a 12 year-old boy, but still...

    So here I am.

My respect to you has increased because of this story and in particular your point of view about 2006.

It was 1997. I was 13 years old. The tv channel TMF (sort of a Dutch MTV) was showing a Top 90 of the 90's with music video's. They played KOHD live at the Freddie tribute. I was a GnR fan and a rock fan in general from that moment onward. It wasn't just GnR. There was stuff like Metallica, Nirvana and Queen as well that I learned about that day. But nothing made quite the impact GnR did. November Rain was #1 on that list iirc, but KOHD was the big eye opener for me. I managed to record a lot of those songs on VHS over the next few months and then recorded the sound on my old computer. Converted the wav's to extremely low bitrate MP3 files (because my old 486dx with 44mhz processor couldn't even play 128 kbps) and off we went.

Very interesting. I became a fan during Axl's wilderness years too. Either 96 or 97 when I got a VHS which was basically an MTV music video selection.

There I watched Estranged, November Rain and Don't Cry. Estranged got me falling in love with GNR. In particular with Axl. I mean, I was so much obsessed with him that a teenager me was trying to mimick his walking, movements and all.

In those years I didn't have internet and rumor in my town was that Axl was dead cause of throat cancer. In 99, I checked internet for the first time and checked the band's website to see Live Era and OMG were released and Axl is alive lol

Fast forward to today, I'm hooked with Fatxl and his excellent current state of vocals.

seems like there’s almost universal backlash, has it harmed their reputation you think? Could it harm sales for a future single? Havent seen this backlash to a song of theirs b4

It definitely did. Although it doesn't change their ticket sales in the future for sure. This band does everything wrong and yet they sell to SCOM and WTTJ fans. The casuals.

I'm sure Axl is having a BBQ party with him one of these days in his Malibu mansion cheering him up like "yo my man, whole my life I've been accused of abusing women, don't worry son I got your back"

Basically that'll be the mood in his camp ^

I guess her lawyers looked for that Stern show and didn't find anything and that's why nothing about it is mentioned in the lawsuit.

The date mentioned in the lawsuit though matches with the date Axl did his first interview with Stern on the phone (Stern called him in his hotel). Actually the full audio of that interview was published recently, but there was nothing about a "penthouse pet" and the other things she said in the Daily Mail and in her book.

I would suggest you disappear for sometime considering your extensive knowledge in the timeline of events and history of this band. You're just providing documents to the plaintiff

To be perfectly honest I don't doubt that it may have happened, I am not going to completely write her off as being untruthful. I just wonder if the lawsuit against Fernando is what brought this one about as well

All this family has for GNR and fans is misery and drama.
