  1. I don't know much about technicalities, but how come all these guys were performing perfect without IEM back in the 80s and 90s? Always wondered the same for Axl. He started this in 2001 and obviously seem struggling with it on stage at times. Touching his ear at many instances throughout the years to come.

So I appreciate if someone could explain this a bit in detail.

  2. 1. I wish reunion would never happen. Axl had to keep 2002 or 2006 band running and making more albums with them.

    2. Axl/DC was more exciting than the reunion.

    3. I genuinely don't like WTTJ. Never understood it. For me it's down there with stuff like My World and Shotgun Blues

    4. Also SCOM. It's a shit song. Its live is even worst. Boring as KOHD live.

    4. 1993 is my favorite old GNR era. Estranged and The Garden are the best old GNR songs.

    5. The Spaghetti Incident is cool. Hair of the Dog and Buick Mackane are nice tracks.

Not even Bumblefoot played note for note. Thing is - it feels like he just doesn't give a shit about these songs. It's like he doesn't even try, every time he plays the TWAT solo, it feels like he's improvising, but in a bad way like he didn't take the time to learn it and is just going with the flow.

I don't blame Slash in his disconnect with the CD songs (although he seem to have one or two favorites)

It's definitely evident after all these years and he's not interested. Alright, then why not giving the job to Richard for these. This boggles my mind.

    Maybe.

I do find the recurring skull and skeleton motifs in their current merchandise a bit naff.

To be honest, I thought all the skulls and skeletons were naff back in the 80s and 90s too.

Firstly, as a non-native speaker I learnt a new word from you: Naff. Thanks for that!

I gotta say I'm also not a fan of skulls and skeletons in sizes GNR is using on their merchs. It's awkward and very tacky to wear.

But a small and minimal black skull logo on top corner of a shirt wouldn't hurt me for sure. I'm more in favor of NIN type of merch.

Whoa, let's say that "partly" is the word indeed... because for that kind of luxury he's undoubtedly lived in his entire life, I'd make sure I'd cure myself from such "trauma" pretty fucking quick, I can tell you that. Or at least ask someone to do this part of the job for me. After all, appearing in the social media for 15 minutes every few years or so and acting civil can't be that demanding, can it. Anyway, yeah, maybe we otherwise would have had more hints and tidbits by now had the communication been better on both sides. Oh well.

I couldn't agree more. However, unfortunately, this is not a normal band. It's like game of politics if you know what I mean. In order to get insights we have to deal with a rich spoiled 40 year old kid who's never had a real job to be honest. And by mocking him or making fun of his mom, fans didn't achieve anything either. That's all I'm saying.

Not that I'd ever take his side, but yes, there's a time and a place.

No denying he's an asshole of course. But he's partly like that because of ehat happened in WR. I would go as far as saying it has created a fan communication trauma in him.

That's seriously fucked up. On the one hand, you disrespect him so much that you shout out crap like this, and on the other hand, you pay loads of money to go see the show. Some people would deserve hard labour, no money, and some humbleness lessons until they figure out what's what.

E.g. I can criticize him all I like here, but if I buy the ticket, I'm there to enjoy the show, aren't I? Not to mention these assholes are spoiling other people's fun, which is fucking selfish, and that's one of the worst human traits ever. Idiots.

Despite all of my criticism of Axl throughout the years, I have to agree with this point. You can express criticism in any format you prefer, but one thing I absolutely refuse to do is insult an individual, regardless of their fame or lack thereof.

It brings to mind a situation when there was a fantastic opportunity for fans to establish a respectful connection with Fernando (and TB) in a civil manner in the War Room discord channel. However, some incredibly foolish individuals ruined it by posting memes and offensive content about his mother. That is completely unacceptable to me.

They've taken the video off from their insta stories, someone FN' fucked up 😂

If the reason was really because fans speculating a fucking song then: Fernando, if you're reading this, you're a retard bro. We knew it already but we always think there's always hope for everyone, but not for you. lol

I can't imagine people on the forum here stalking journalists that write a bad review, even if it's a shit biased review. I could imagine a certain type of fans do that, but not this forum. In fact, the consensus here seems to be to just ignore the overly bad reviews and not give him anymore attention. That seems to be the polar opposite of starting a hate campaign online. We're no GNR army here.

    Couldn't agree more. Thank you.
