So turns out that One In a Million was released in 1998:
one person wrote on Twitter, citing a 1998 song from Rose's band that contains the N-word in its lyrics.

Perhaps.
It will restore my faith in this band. It'll also excite me to the point that I will buy all the garbage Fernando & Beta try to sell on that goddamn merch site including Young Roadie ones.

Here Today Gone to Hell means violation of freedom of expression in GN'R community.
Synonym to that is Nightrain.

In the sense that the sessions for the "next GN'R album" after UYI and TSI started with Slash, Duff and Matt. Since no album materialized with the UYI lineup, the "next album" ended up being CD with another band, however whatever material was written with Slash was not used, only some stuff Axl had been working on that probably existed as sketches when Duff and Matt were still in the band.
Wasn't it in The Making of Estranged where there's this piano playing in the background which is an early sketch of This I Love?

Such a control freak:
Axl: Brain, re-record the songs as you.
Brain: OK
Axl: Uh-oh. There’s too much space. I don’t think Brain doing his thing will work. Hey Brain, Why don’t you keep your feel and what you do, but do all of Josh’s parts.
Brain: OK

I wonder how many people have actually listened to We Will Rock You recently, and how many are voting purely on nostalgia.
We Will Rock You should've been gone several rounds ago.
Most votes are pure nostalgia, otherwise Stuck Inside would be a finalist

Yes but only 15 'modern' songs released from 1999-2008. Anything after that was nostalgia act.

In 2010 Axl somehow sounded BETTER than 90's and even on some moments, on par with 85-87 era.
What happened to Axl in 2010? Is it really now possible that he could sound like this ever again?
He was 48 in 2010. Not really young either. But did AMAZING.
I think Axl could still sing like 2010 if he would train regularly by coaches just like any professional singer does.
However many people in this forum believe that 'he is doing alright and they've apparently enjoyed his vocals in 2022 shows'.

I've been voting for Back In The Saddle in the last few rounds.
I'm surprised that all three songs from the Sebastian Bach album have survived while all the studio recordings from the 80s have been voted out.
Angel Down tracks are significant for a number of reasons.
1. Axl's 2006 vocals which was in perfect condition. I would say even better than on CD.
2. Unlike CD tracks, the vocals are pure and little to no processing has been done to them.
3. Vocals on those tracks are more recent than on CD.
4. Stuck Inside is very unique as in my opinion it's the only track that Axl sings 'metal'.

I wish Axl would just let it go and do more of those when he was in his prime time...

Releasing a new song at every show on the South American tour would be good marketing. There are so many ways to do this. It's not possible that we have an album ready and it doesn't come out.
You sure you're talking about GN'R?

Since when has Mickey been so raspy?
Not his best HTH compared to Axl/DC.
Or is it again "Axl is the best, fuck the rest"?

Insane how Mickey Highway To Hell will make it to the next round. But then again it's not more insane than how NITL still fills up stadiums. lol

I guess it's because there are two parameters or two criteria for voting in this poll, how good Axl's vocals are and whether someone likes the song or not, and for some people how Axl sounds weighs more than how good the song is, while for others it's the opposite.
That's true. My criteria is the overall production of the songs rather than how Axl's sound. And for me there's not much to complain about his vox when it comes to studio tracks.

I'd been to multiple GNR shows since 2006 but since I'm so pissed at the current state of this clownfest nostalgia act (& people who pay to see that sh*t and hallucinating that everything's ok with the band), I'm not mentioning them here.
So my top five are as following:
Metallica (Slane Castle, Ireland 2019)
Mayhem (Brutal Assault Festival, Czech 2017)
Arch Enemy (Tokyo 2008)
Rammstein (Berlin 2019)
David Gilmour (Royal Albert Hall, London 2006)

I mean seriously, how could someone prefer HTH 2017 over studio versions of Anxious Disease or Under My Wheels?!
If anyone hasn't heard those tracks don't be shy, drop me a pm 😉

Anyone voting for "Stuck Inside" needs a cat scan.
Should the cat scan results show no signs of brain damage, the suspect will be prosecuted.

i think the thing is on hold bc burocratics issues and technical things like edits and merch kinda things, but i doubt axl had something to do with that, maybe he was consult in the beggining opf the idea but now he s bussy with the tour stuff and vocal health.( in my opinion)
And why 'bureaucratic and technical' issues only happen to GNR?
besides, I don't think designing cover art or merch is an issue considering ZERO effort seen on recent designs (Hardskool coverart using stock and disaster merch graphics)
We all know who's the final decision maker ;-)

Wonder why would anyone vote Come Together.
1. It's the last stage appearance of Axl in his original voice, shape, form and face.
2. Fact that he wasn't supposed to perform that night and yet he did a relatively good job (considering his vocals were still recovering from long touring)

Axl just appears on the video, he didn't sing on the recording.
There is a live version of it with Axl singing from a Michael Monroe show, but it's too much of a rarity to be included - there are already a few songs in the poll that many people haven't heard.
Passed. wanted to test your knowledge.

You missed Dead, Jail or Rock N' Roll (Michael Monroe Feat. Axl Rose)
There's a music video made for that as well.
Axl read the forum?
