Even Madagascar has the same depth to Axls voice and his highs are clean but signature. The first song in this leak is to messy even in the music.

Also, im a guitar player and audio engineer, it has too much sloppiness

I see where you could be coming from, but this is also a guy who's a insane perfectionist and had years to toy around with the sound and vocal's.

  2. The General is everything is envisioned would be a Slash/Duff redone song from the NuGN'R era. The beat, orchestra, plus Slash's guitar. Bring's me back to first hearing Chinese Democracy in 2008.

Monsters is undoubtedly Soul Monster, and sound's mean as fuck and fantastic. Sound almost Marilyn Manson like, the verse atleast. And that bridge! Axl wasn't kidding about it being the "meanest section of anything I've sung to date."

Overall, this is exactly how I envisioned reworked NuGN'R song's featuring Slash and Duff would be. I know Hard School and Perhaps are the clear radio hit's, but these song's are fill with much more anger and heart.

  3. Here we go with the "He's in his 50's, so it's ok to be fat and out of breath."

He's also the lead singer of a rock n' roll band. A musician, a celebrity. He's held to a different standard, that's why people talk about it more. When you have Springsteen, Bon Jovi, and Steven Tyler who all still look like they did 20 years ago, than why is Axl an exception? Why is it different with him? If it was because of medication or something like that, than yeah I don't think he has much control over it. But, to defend him like you know what's going on just seems strange and cult-like. What if he's just a lazy asshole with no drive or fire under him because now he's making a lot of money touring with Slash? And I find it sad that the Axl Rose has turned into nothing more than a shadow of his former self. The jewelry and hats don't both me, it's the T-shirts and cut up jeans, the oversized leather jackets. It's crazy to see the once perfectionist, who was took 20 years to release 1 ablum, is now a nostalgia act.

According to this forum, once I hit my 50's, I can start eating whatever I want and not care about my health or appearance.  I guess all the middle age guys in my local gym should stop working out and trying to stay in shape, once you reach a certain age it's ok to not care anymore.

  4. It's not really comparable. Jon hasn't sounded like himself since 2002 at the earliest. Other than a few performances or concerts in the last decade or so, his raspy powerful voice from the 90's has been nonexistent. Trust me, as a Bon Jovi fan, I would know.

Whereas Axl Rose, just 8 years ago, had a strong powerful voice. It was full of rasp and power, his energy on stage was high, and he was in better shape and IMO was the last time he looked like Axl Rose. Every since Rock N Rio 2011 he was a completely different person IMO with little drive and hardly any passion. Were their good performances here and there, yes. But, they added more classic songs like Estranged and Civil War, dropped Chinese Democracy songs like If The World and IRS. Axl gained significant weight and started to look more like Elvis is the 70's than the Axl Rose only from 2010 that was in better shape and with more passion. IMO, something happened between the last show in 2010 and RNR 2011 that changed Axl.

People can compare the 80's singers to Axl Rose, but the problem is a lot of the 80's singers lost their voice a long time ago. Vince Neil hasn't sounded good live in 20 years, the fact that were comparing Axl Rose to Vince Neil (who was not a great singer to begin with) is astounding. I like how people only compare him to bad singers, and not singers like Bruce Springsteen, Steven Tyler, David Coverdale, Kenny Loggins, Richard Marx who still sound good after 30 years.

Instead of giving Coachella shit, it's GNR that isn't allowing the full streaming. Don't you think they would want the massive hits on youtube? GNR specifically doesn't want their set streamed in full.

    Why not?

I think the lack of press

Yeah, but Guns isn't other bands. We love them for the same reason we hate them! It could be argued that all of this annoying lack of press has actually generated more buzz. I hope they give us more info in the future, and more concerts.

Which wouldn't be a problem, if they were so unpredictable (in a bad way). Playing a live concert in front of millions of people on YouTube could garner much more press for a reunion tour than releasing a DVD months from now, or showing a 15 minute set at 3 in the morning.

I think they don't want to stream a whole show because they may be releasing a concert video. Most likely the Troubadour. Why else would they post professionally shot video and then play Patience at the end. If a full concert was released it could damage sales. No one fucked up their actually being smart.

Other band release concerts all the time, and stream all the time as well.

Fuck this...why the fuck is gnr only streaming for 15 fucking minutes when everyone else is going for 1-2 hours? Out of all the opportunities to tap into the mainstream with their reunion, gnr management, beta, or whoever is fucking this up. Holy shit. Is axl paranoid its gonna be rir 11 again?

That's what I've been saying! Why can't they just function like any other band?

  9. I think the fact that no-one in the band has denied it speaks volumes. Seriously, there have been reunion rumors before, and Axl has shut them down. No, nothing. Nothing from Slash, Duff, Steven, Matt, Izzy is missing as usual, Richard is being cryptic. Seriously, I think it's safe to say this is happening. The old GN'R logo on the webpage, the teasers before Star Wars, it's all to increase interest, build excitement. And believe me, people are getting exited, including me. Would it be cool to have a new album by new GN'R, yeah. But, Axl and Slash on the same stage again is something none of us thought would see ever again.

The only thing I hope is Axl get's in great shapes for this and belts out "you know where your are!" like 2010. Also Slash playing CD songs or Axl playing VR or even Slash solo songs would be cool too.

  10. If he's out, good for him. He's out of that hell-hole and can be creative and enjoy being a musical artist. Release his music when he wants and have fun touring it, without having to walk on egg-shells about what he says or about any new music from Guns N' Roses.

He always seemed like a good guy and I wish him the best. It's going to be sad though to see people turn on him because he left GN'R.
