I like the raw power of this stripped down version of WTTJ. It's actually kinda hypnotizing.

A more serious question, since I'm not a musician: Do musicians like the GNR guys really have to rehearse songs like WTTJ? I mean, of course it rocks like hell, but I guess technically it's a very, very easy song. I'd imagine every GNR member could play his parts instantly a second after being woken up from deep sleep with a bucket full of ice water.

i guess it's less to do with the ability to remember or play the individual parts, but more to do with the timing and tightness of the band as a unit

this is the reason. it's the case with any band. they have to perform the material well together, hence they rehearse before they go on tour

Does Axl owe the record company more material?

Stone Temple Pilots wanted to get out of their contract with Atlantic but they can't switch record labels until they release a specific number of new material through Atlantic

i think its kind of the same with guns.

it's a bit like what happened to bruce springsteen. his manager or something owned the right to release what ever music bruce wrote, and with that he could not release more music before he solved the problems he had with his manager. if axl has a disagreement with universial and he still owes them albums, they can stop them from releasing music.

if that's the case it would be difficult for axl to go independent.

The second half of twat is unreal. The first is pretty good with some noted blunders. But ya, second half really is one of the best bits of music by gnr. I can't say enough really fincks best, bucketheads best. It is buckethead ya or is it ron? Sounds a lot like bucket to me. Favourite song off cd for me with maddy and irs coming behind it. I remember when the demo leaked, I was all over it. Height of my gnr or at least nu gnr fandom.

GNR has traditionally had shitty sound mixes at Rio (II wasn't bad). Make sure that doesn't happen again (soundcheck, Axl!).

true! but alot of bands have bad sound. there are very few really good soundguys around.. i'm guessing they are using the same soundguy they hired for the last tour. if they do, the sound will be ok!

i'd be more keen about an awesome producer or a PR guy. they need PR and recording more than better livesound
