thats all the songs i want to hear live from gnr, so i'm happy :xmasssanta:

  2. I'll play it again today, last time I played it in full was the 20th anniversary I think.

One of the greatest albums ever

Really? I listen to it in full every few days or so, at least once a week. (Because typically I have my "Axl Rose" playlist on shuffle all day)

Been doing that for around 2 years now and I still have yet to get tired of it.

I played it 24/7 when I was 13 up to like 17, then I just stopped out of boredom..

Still think it's one of the greatest though

    exactly!

i'm seventeen now, and i just lost interest of listening to it 24/7.

i listen more to funk, jazz and soul now but its still one of my favorite albums ever. its just so tight and great produced.

  3. What the hell does Richard play on CD anyway? I have no idea what he plays on the record. Does he play on all the songs even? I can't tell.

the alternate booklet says that finck and bucket plays the solos on SOD but it says that fortus plays on the track. i think he plays the solo. sounds alot like him. other than that he plays guitar on TWAT and prostitute according to the alt. booklet.

paul tobias plays guitar on alot of the tracks!

  4. best anyone can hope for is for a new song or two at rock in rio.

wouldn't be too hopeful on even that happening though.

fact: there is no album coming out 2011.

you cant call that a fact. we dont shit about what's going on at all. for all we know they can have a double album ready for release tomorrow. anything can happen in gnr world

    and btw mantes^

i'm thinkin' no mustache, hat and new songs :xmasssanta:

  5. 110a.jpg

Baldwin is the piano of choice!

    Baldwin Custom Mirror - $149,985 :o

I've always wondered what happens with these pianos/guitars/amps etc after? Do they go into storage fo the next tour ? Does Axl keep the piano at home? Kinda lame but hmm

i think they rent a lot of the equipment used on tour. guitarists and bassists own their amps and guitars, so i guess they just take their stuff home at the end of the tour. at least i do :P

my best guess would be that they rent most of the other equipment like the stage, pianos, tour busses, PA-system e.t.c.

  6. He was drafted in too late to be able to contribute to any of the writing process, but Ron is responsible for two of my favourite guitar parts on the record:

    1. The crazy-ass tapping at the end of Shacklers Revenge, which takes an already brilliant song to a whole new level of awesomeness.

    2. The guitar shredding over the final part of Catcher In The Rye (starting with "on an ordinary day..."). Ron's playing on this part is sublime and creates such a brilliant melancholic feeling to the end of the song.

I really hope he contibutes heavily to the recording of the next album, because I think this guy has a lot to offer GNR.

dont you think the solo is crazy? it rocks quite alot more than the tapping at the end :xmassrudolph:
