  1. @D4NNY - I found it:
  2. The Chris Rock performance is lip-synching to the Live '97 cassette version. But they cut it down by a good 4+mins, the original soundboard version goes OFF. You gotta hear it. 90s Prince is my favourife decade too. I love the run of albums Emancipation - New Power Soul - Rave Un2/In2. I know some fans give those albums some shit, but there's so many great songs spread across those records. I may be biased, because it's the era when I first became a fan....
  3. Face Down is everything. Even the video is Prince at his most badass. Have you heard Face Down Live 97 from the NPG cassette? It's probably on Youtube. It's amazing.
  4. Massive Prince fan. Top 5 songs is almost impossible, but here's a few that spring to mind: All My Dreams Face Down Live '97 Mad Sex Power Fantastic The Holy River Eye Love U But Eye Don't Trust U Anymore Circle of Amour Hello The entire Family album
  5. I'd say it was far easier in the internet age. The likes of The Beatles, MJ, Elvis, Madonna etc had to rely on people actually going out of their front door and parting with their money to listen to their music. Streaming is far easier to do and many people stream music they would never think of parting money for. It's also a bit sad how impressed grown men are with her popularity. Are we in high school or something?
  6. Half of the records Swift has broken is because she releases each album fifteen different times with minor differences on each, and her gulliable fanbase lap it up. It's cheating and shouldn't be allowed. I could name one Taylor Swift song. Her impact isn't as far reaching as the hype would have you believe.
  7. Live By The Sword was an immediate highlight for me when I first heard the album and still is. Great song, which would've sounded great on UYI1.
  8. 24th will announce the physical release of the remaining leftovers on vinyl/CD, promoted by The General music video and a new song. EP will include Absurd, Hard Skool, Perhaps, The General, Monsters, Atlas Shrugged, 7 and Oklahoma. Source: I had a wet dream about it.
  9. Would it kill Axl to appear in a music video not using compilations from live shows?
  10. I don't think Madonna's long for this world.
  11. Yup, this. People keep banging on about the production and the bad quality etc, but to me it sounds deliberately murky, much in the same way Axl's voice was produced on Oh My God. I don't know what clipping is and quite frankly, I wouldn't want to listen out for it or be directed to notice something that could hamper my enjoyment of the song.
  12. Making a single original song from scratch should be the goal first. That hasn't been done from Axl in at least 15 years.
  13. Unfortunately the AFD mulletheads wet the bed everytime Axl makes something that doesn't sound like a relic from 1987 rock radio. Presumably they're all SMKC hardcores.
  14. How many more drip-fed singles will they put out before they assemble a compilation and release it on vinyl? That's what I'm really waiting for. I haven't purchased any of the 7" singles, because I simply don't have the time or patience to sit and listen to one song each side. But if they were to put out an 8 track EP of the songs on 12", I would gobble that shit up.
  15. My missus loves the song and she has zero investment in GNR. She likes them "for one of your bands" but never listens to them without me. We share a joint Spotify account and I saw she'd listened to it twice off her own back the other day when I was at work. Do you think she's "forcing herself to like it"??
  16. The fans disappointed that it's not Estranged 2.0 are beyond moronic and set themselves up for a fall. If, like me, you expected it to just be a song, a normal song, not the second coming of Christ, then perhaps you'd find yourself enjoying it a bit more. Or perhaps not. Fans complaining that it doesn't sound like the UYI-era band, ummm, no shit sherlock? Honestly, some people have the strangest and most unrealistic expectations from these guys. I dig it. It's not amongst the best GNR songs, but it's solid and middling in their canon of work in terms of quality. It being compared to My World in terms of song quality is just fan hysteria after the anti-climax of realising that after all the hoopla and myth, it really is just a song.
  17. It probably was and then Axl decided to leave it as is. I actually think it works.
  18. Well, it's definitely going to be on streaming. They're advertising it on GNRs official Insta page.
  19. Does anybody really care about Spotify single covers??? I'm sure they'd come up with something halfway decent if hell freezes over and they actually release an album.
  20. It would've annoyed me far more if they hadn't of put it on streaming. And I own a vinyl player and collect vinyl. But not putting a song on streaming in 2023 is ridiculous.
  21. Didn't grab me at first like Panic Attack did, but it's grown on me a lot. 2 good songs so far which bodes well.
