  1. He was also the original source of Goin Down. No one else ever mentioned it until later in 2011 when fans asked BBF and he described it as "earthy".
  2. We do know what one of the solos sounds like though. People can deny it all they want but you can make out the solo pretty clearly in the cellphone clip, even if everything else is barely audible.
  3. Once again, there is no evidence Brian May had anything to do with Perhaps. Riad is the third May song.
  4. I remember the MSL video getting released in January 2011 and all those song titles (Going Down, Tonto, Cuban Skies, Light My Fire) becoming forum lexicon. Don't remember seeing the list or it even being mentioned before 2019. It's probable that it was not passed around publicly because those who saw it privately didn't see any new song titles on it (apparently the question mark after Perhaps threw people off, thinking it was just a question rather than a song title). Of course this scenario only makes sense if the list was passed around privately after MSL's video. Then again the list does say "4 Heavens Sing" which you would think would be something people would speculate on publicly.
  5. IDK, I think we could use more people like this to balance out the ass kissers, the forum has been way too lopsided in their direction lately.
  6. The era isn't over for me until Soul Monster's release, either official or leaked. I love the Oklahoma instrumental but imo Axl never completed it so I don't really need it to have closure.
  7. Interesting that it's now 3 different track names associated with the word monster. Soul Monster, The General And Monsters, and Monstrosity.
  8. No, I don't want them abandoning the Chi Dem sessions until Soul Monster is released. If SM is one of the next two singles, then sure, I'm on board with them starting anew. Don't think Axl's into it though, no matter what Duff and Slash may hope.
  9. It wasn't about an album. He used it as an excuse for why he hadn't posted a new NITL selects that particular week.
  10. LMFAO. There are at least ten instrumentals on the Village discs better than Slash's work on Hard Skool. The majority of 4 is better than Hard Skool instrumentally, though Myles ruins every song with his shit songwriting so most don't notice. Slash's playing on HK isn't bad but it's pretty generic and uninspired.
  11. The guitar solo is the one thing you can hear clearly in the cellphone clip, so if someone says they prefer Bucket/Robin's take on it, they aren't necessarily just bitching for the sake of bitching, they might really mean it.
  12. LOL, we are still in the Frankenstein era. Hard Skool sounds more frankensteined than any track on CD.
  13. The stuff about Slash being at Axl's house was leaked by the guy who provided Slash's amp in April 2019. This was later confirmed as true by Slash. We have no idea if GNR were in the studio in late 2019, the only confirmed dates we have are the April 2019 visit and the sessions that Slash repeatedly states were done "during the pandemic", presumably at some point in 2020.
  14. Eric Dover's voice is so hideous. Have no idea what the hell people are smoking who call him a great singer. Rod Jackson on the other hand rules.
  15. WMMR now plays it once a day. Same thing happened with Hard Skool, they didn't play at all at first, but then went into daily rotation. Currently at #12 on the mainstream rock chart (Hard Skool peaked at #9).
  16. I really liked the Stapp album. More consistent than any Creed album (especially the reunion album which sucked).
  17. On the AFD podcast Brain said he wrote it in the time leading up to HOB 2001. I think Dizzy gave an interview in January 2005 where he said Brain had brought in The General "last year". Obviously this was years after the instrumental had been written by Brain (2000) and worked on by Beltrami (2002), so I'm guessing this is referring to when the full band worked on it.
  18. To me it sounds like Axl is starting to sing the "do you remember" part again (assuming Evader's lyrics are correct) after the screaming stops and right before the clip ends.
  19. You're right. Singing as awful as Axl does is something very few people have ever accomplished.
