  1. Microman. I remember he agreed to talk to Rolling Stone only on the condition they put Microman's picture in the article.
  2. Fortus has never been anything but an overrated gremlin. I really wish that rumor about Dave Kushner replacing him had been true.
  3. Guy is just repeating random stuff that is already out there. The "In This Grave" title along with the "They say the stars don't look the same" lyric were posted by @youthinkso over a decade ago. Who the fuck knows if they're accurate or not. In This Grave was never implied to be Soul Monster though, or even that the title and lyrics were from the same song. The stuff about Beltrami adding orchestration and Axl recording it on a Christmas eve is also already known information. This troll can't even come up with anything original.
  4. I don't know if it's 100% Slash needing to be in the driver's seat, I think he'd be OK with Axl rejecting some ideas he had, asking him to change them or even suggesting a different overall direction. I think it's just that he's not inspired at all to just remove the CD band from already completed tracks and copy and paste new stuff over it. It's not the way he has ever written music.
  5. Most people who don't believe new music will come out want it to happen but are pessimistic after so many years of nothing. Not sure why you'd celebrate this as a victory of some kind over them as if they aren't fans and don't want it to happen.
  6. Oh FFS I made a small joke about Axl being in love with Ashba, the implication being that Ashba is so worthless that Axl must have had another reason to be as fond of him as he was. It wasn't even ha ha funny, just a sarcastic comment really. Didn't mean to start an avalanche.
  7. Ehhh....maybe 10% serious? I just always found Axl's fondness for DJ completely inexplicable.
  8. Axl had a borderline homosexual infatuation with Ashba. Glad that era is over with.
  9. They added Coma during the last few shows of 2021 and it was played on the majority of shows in 2022. The night Hard Skool was released we thought Axl was finally going to sing it live but he brought Coma back instead.
  10. Axl reconciled with Matt in 2006, even drove him around NYC, then in 2007 Matt is in the press making fun of Axl again, saying he is "so jealous" of VR. Not to mention he lies and embellishes constantly, always changing his story about his firing. First it's because Tobias insulted Slash, then it's a disagreement between him and Axl about the direction of the band. He also says shit like Axl would call him and say "you're fiiiiiiiiiiiired" in his signature high pitched voice, a story fans will recognize as pure bullshit but the idiotic media would of course believe. I'm so glad that egotistical asshat isn't part of the reunion.
  11. The main issue with Pele is that he derailed discussion constantly. Of course it was the choice of other users whether to reply or not so it wasn't all on him but he basically copy and pasted the same couple of paragraphs almost a hundred times over the span of a few months. He was also unnecessarily combative with anyone that disagreed with him, often times completed unprovoked. For example, I completely agree with Pele that tracks like Zodiac were never completed, but if I see someone say that they hope Zodiac will be on the next album I don't give them some unprovoked snarky reply like "Yeah, keep hoping for something that doesn't exist, idiot", which is basically what he did multiple times.
  12. I agree with Pele about most stuff except Soul Monster not having vocals, it's ludicrous to suggest that Axl lied about recording on that song and yet he insisted he did. I have never felt tracks like Oklahoma and Zodiac were completed with vocals and will not be disappointed if we don't get them. I do think there's a good chance there's another 1 or 2 tracks we've never heard of that were completed, the guy who recorded The General cellphone clip said there was a ballad in the style of SOD that was played as well. Atlas and Perhaps don't really remind me of SOD at all so I think there might still be some other stuff in the vault. Not much though.
  13. Most people complaining about Slash's playing just want him to play more like his old self. It's not that they prefer someone else's style.
  14. People were speculating this back in 2017 too. One of Axl's main personality traits is loyalty and he ain't replacing Frank unless he quits.
  15. Gotta admit I didn't expect them to bring this one back.
  16. There's no reason for someone to not say something like "I think Axl was weak on that verse" because some other user only wants to read positive comments. Only making positives comments completely dilutes the purpose of the thread, which is simply to discuss the show.
  17. People are allowed to criticize aspects of the show in the show thread.
  18. There was some story about Bucket (can't remember where it's from, maybe someone else will) where Bucket was quitting and a manager of some kind had to try to convince him to stay. Bucket would only talk through Herbie (his hand puppet) so the manager was arguing with the puppet.
  19. I am not disputing they have recorded new music, just brand new music. The music the band was in the studio for and was working on during the lockdown was the reworked CD stuff. Slash confirmed this in an October 2021 interview where he also confirmed the band had worked on nothing new. The only time Slash has have ever mentioned anything new actually being written was a 2018 interview where he mentioned having a folder for GNR ideas on his phone. Slash said he wants to go in and record a brand new record, but these are just hopes of his until we hear something more substantial.
  20. He did not say this. He said they'd be free to work on a new record, obviously voicing what he hopes would happen. This is different than saying he and Axl have a plan to work on a new album after the tour.
