  1. Go look up the definition of the word profit. Also from 1993 on GNR is a story of wasted time and potential. Go argue with someone else if you disagree.
  2. Yeah, that’s deluded thinking imo. At the end of the day, you remember the music released and how it was played. Not that The Stones made a bunch of money because Budweiser sponsored their tour or whatever. Good for the band making some cash (I doubt they’ve profited over half a billion since 2016) but that’s not what is most important when it’s all said and done.
  3. Depends on how you’re defining success. They could’ve been the next Stones. They have one “disappointing” album in the last 30 F’ing years…incredibly disappointing how it turned out (even with occasional exciting times like the beginning of the “reunion”).
  4. One running out of steam as well. It seems like most of their concerts (in North America at least) have to resort to heavily discounting tickets to get the turnout to be respectable. Not necessarily horrible for a band with members around 60ish…but just another example of wasted potential for what GNR could’ve/should’ve been the last 30 years. Axl and his enabling yes people have unfortunately constantly diluted the band/brand.
  5. Line in the sand. I’m done with this joke of a band if the song isn’t out on the 11th. It’s crossed the line from laughable to pathetic.
  6. What? The concert is on Friday night, right? You would think it would be released earlier that day at midnight.
  7. She must be doing a lot of squats. Also Axl needs to get new pants. They’re probably expensive but look cheap and out of place.
  8. Saturday is concert day in the Hub City. It’s a first for the Croix Bleue Medavie Stadium that, at full, capacity can hold around 22,500 fans. Apparently it’s the first concert at this venue.
  9. Between this and the “You guys have wife’s?” post just before it was quite the way to wake up. 😂
  10. You follow a guy who earnestly paid an old lady named Yoda in Sedona, AZ to see who he knew from past lives and which cities had an acceptable magnetic force field to perform in…
  11. The concerts would be better if they didn’t play any CD songs at all. Release and play new music. None of these holdovers from Axl’s former band had shit to do with them anyways.
  12. Or just don’t play them anymore . Slash is the lead when he’s in a band and it’s not like these songs need to be played as the vast majority of the audiences don’t care. I’d recommend they quit playing CD songs that Axl can’t even properly sing anymore and instead release new music that he can. That’s a better solution.
  13. Fair enough, but I think some of the criticism is exaggerated for whatever reason. Maybe some of his passion will come back if/when Axl decides he wants to be more than just a money making legacy nostalgia act. 🤷‍♂️
  14. People on this site get quite carried away taking shit about Slash imo. I think some of you take for granted that he’s been the consistent star of these reunion years and act like he’s a dude who can’t play anymore. From one of the reviews posted above, but has been the overall consensus of most reviews for the last 7 years: “If the two stars of the team - Axl Rose and Slash are 61 and 57 years old, they still provide the show for more than 3 hours. The bad boys of rock known for their delays, and, in recent years, a vocal decline of the leader, proved that evening that they have nothing to envy to the youngest. The group's great asset remains the genius of guitarist Slash”
  15. No, I was saying that Slither had a much bigger impact in general than any song that was on CD. Axl unfortunately sings Slither like shit so I’m not commenting on its live impact.
  16. You think TWAT has been a more successful song than Slither? I doubt most casual fans are even aware of the song. Slither was a Grammy winning hit song that is still played on radio stations around the world to this day..I don’t think I’ve heard TWAT played on the radio in 15 years. I assume that’s likely true for most people. Regarding the live performance of TWAT, I like the screams too but the way he sings the verses kinda ruins it for me.
