  1. Yeah, unless Axl and his team of incompetents are shipping these out themselves…some people will be receiving this by noon this Friday. If I had to bet, we’ll be hearing it digitally in about 30 hours though. Maybe even sooner.
  2. Yeah, it’s not like Slash saved his ass and allowed him to sell out Stadiums for the last 7 years. Also I’m sure he’s upset that Slash’s presence let his considerably depleted vocal abilities be somewhat covered up by the top hatted one being the star/most impressive part of 90% of the reunion gigs. I mean if it wasn’t for Slash, he could have back 2 other guys who abandoned him and be playing half-filled arenas. You should really consider posting less stupid thoughts.
  3. It should be streaming by the 27th or even earlier if the band believes in the song imo. Especially as Perhaps is getting close to ending its cycle as a single (it peaked weeks ago and is falling down the charts now) so it wouldn’t be stepping on any positive momentum for that tune. If it’s not then it’s probably just seen as a throwaway track to satisfy some diehards and get some people to purchase the physical single of Perhaps. Hopefully it‘s the former but I’m starting to worry it’s the latter.
  4. It’s possible he hasn’t heard it but I doubt it. If he hasn’t, his lack of curiosity shows it’s a good thing he’s been replaced by someone who cares more.
  5. Probably a lie as well. Not buying you haven’t heard a song that’s been out for nearly 2 months considering you used to be in a version of this band for 15+ years and had worked on this particular song at some point.
  6. It got to #9 already a week or so ago and is now moving in the wrong direction. It‘s likely topped out and will be falling down the charts. https://www.pollstar.com/charts/34/active-rock https://hitsdd.section101.com/mediabase_chart_details&fmt=R2
  7. That was the first time so it was a unique deal when it happened. Once again I didn’t say anything had to be that special, but IM’s set and that comment by Bruce about not giving a fuck is not normal for an event like this, let alone special. It was quite lame.
  8. GNR had Angus play with them at Coachella as a special guest. All of your other examples weren’t special one time events like Power Trip and I doubt many of those bands you listed played a set of mostly deep cut/new obscure songs.
  9. Big acts do it all the time at festivals like Coachella (same location as Power Trip). This wasn’t supposed to be a normal festival. It’s a one off in which 6 acts are all doing headlining sets. I’m not even saying you have to do something super special, but I think there’s a big middle ground between that and playing mostly obscure songs and stating you don’t give a fuck if people have never heard them before.
  10. Not even One? Edit: Ha, I see I was 2 hours late on this joke!
  11. Ross took some famous GNR photos back in the day. I notice Duff’s vest doesn’t say LAME as that reviewer wrote.
  12. GNR played a hell of a lot more hits for this kind of crowd than IM. Playing the same deep cuts/new songs you’ve been playing at arena shows all tour for this kind of event is lazy and boring. Apparently Bruce said something to the crowd that that he didn’t give a fuck if they hadn’t heard these songs before. I don’t follow IM at all but that’s a pretty douchey thing to utter at this kind of event. You want to play a bunch of obscure songs, then stick to your arena tour and don’t sign up for this.
  13. At least it was a show you couldn’t see somewhere else recently for cheaper. Why even book Iron Maiden for this type of event if they’re just gonna do the same arena show of deep cuts they’ve been doing their whole tour? Lame.
  14. Can anyone recommend an AC DC forum thread to follow their show tonight?
  15. From the LA Times review below is what my issue is with last night. Just some older bands treating what was supposed to be a special event as just another show. Kinda lame, especially for the prices people are paying to attend and stay nearby for the weekend. the show also felt a bit standard-issue: just another gig for a hard-working rock band rather than the one-off spectacle its setting might’ve led some to hope for. The same largely went for Iron Maiden, which preceded Guns N’ Roses on Friday with a very solid version of its current arena production. (Goldenvoice, the promoter that puts on these Indio festivals, refused to disclose the size of the crowds at Power Trip, though the number is well into the tens of thousands.)
  16. Axl might want to wear a shirt during this part of the show…
  17. In contrast to the theatrical and profound thought style of Iron Maiden’s performance on Friday at Power Trip, Guns N’ Roses’ headlining set didn’t come close.
  18. Apparently wasn’t their fault. Changing the stage after Iron Maiden took a while. Not sure why that would be a surprise to organizers who released start times though.
  19. This event wasn’t supposed to be like that. One of the main selling points was 6 iconic bands doing a full headliner set at one location.
  20. You just said their start would be quite delayed..
  21. Yeah I think it’s officially supposed to be 12:25 AM EST.
  22. I doubt it’s Axl and GNR. It’s Axl. About 3 hours
  23. Highly doubtful as I haven’t seen it mentioned anywhere.
