  1. True although finally releasing a perfunctory statement just saying the show is off “due to illness” isn’t that transparent. What illness? Who’s sick? Could/should give a more detailed reason for all the people who are going to be out money because of this.
  2. I didn’t say that. I said a 54 year old who is afraid to show their face is a sideshow.
  3. Yeah, I’m the one who is costing a lot of people money on hotel rooms, etc and can’t even be bothered to make a punctual statement. Good point cheesehead.
  4. Yes, a 58 year old who is still in high demand for a variety of projects because he’s not a sideshow who is afraid to show his face.
  5. I doubt it. It was announced as the B-side to a song that was already released and didn’t seem to be a promotional move as it was coming so late in the tour.
  6. His gimmick and constant costume is antithetical to being taken serious imo. He’s a sideshow.

  8. So you admit he doesn’t have Covid because they would’ve stated that, but you used Covid as an example of an illness he could have…🤦🏻‍♂️ Agreed. Pathetic they haven’t made a statement yet. Should’ve happened before the ticket emails were sent out.
  9. He was supposedly sick over a week ago and got better. You don’t cancel a show over 24 hours in advance because you are sick that day. He was likely told to rest his voice for some reason . The hope is it’s only short term and that they don’t have to postpone the rest of the tour.
  10. He’s been talking shit about his own voice and apologizing recently. Occam’s razor dude.
  11. Can someone move this thread to where it should be…
  12. Isn’t bucket basically having garage sales to pay bills? Kinda sad for someone so apparently talented.
  13. https://www.kmov.com/2023/09/08/guns-n-roses-concert-busch-stadium-postponed-according-email-sent-stadium-staff/?outputType=amp Not a good sign.
  14. They should finish this tour and sometime next year bring Mike Clink in as the producer and knock a fucking album out together. He did all of the previous GNR releases with Axl/Slash/Duff and it would be a fitting continuation or even finale.
  15. Not every song that’s worked on has to be released. A lot of bands work on 20+ songs for an album and then cut it down 12-14 for the actual release. Then those additional songs are shelved and sit around collecting dust. In GNR’s case they’re releasing a few reworked to as Richard said, “prime the pumps” for new music from this current group. Maybe a few of those would make a new album or they’d probably eventually make a CD anniversary album or box set assuming they’re close to finished as is.
  16. Okay, I was just talking about how he seemed to be singing some of the those parts lackadaisically when he went lower. Nothing against the lower voice in concept. Anyways, really like the Don’t Cry from last night: https://youtu.be/0kPwJquvK3Y?si=ABMZ4muZ_8_2Yvrb
  17. Yeah, I like the baritone voice but it definitely takes away some of the “energy” of the song. It could also be the fact that when he sings that way he seems to be doing it kind of nonchalantly and it comes across that way. Maybe do it with a little more intensity and it’d come across better. Side note: Listening to Estranged with headphones on just reminded me how great Slash did with the guitar parts when they made this song.
  18. Maybe it hurts his throat in these when he’s doing it? Otherwise I don’t see why he would care or someone should tell him that way sounds good.
  19. Assuming that’s true, why would Axl stay with Geffen/Universal even for distribution after he tried to blame them for CD’s issues?
  20. If they release a covers album..this band would be getting dangerously close to having as many of those as original albums. That would be truly pathetic. So you’re probably right and it’ll be out in 2025 with Atlas Shrugged and State of Grace thrown on it as well.
  21. His comment makes more sense if he would have said “priming the pumps WITH things that have been around…” Hopefully the releasing new music part isn’t just a wish or assumption on his part and there are definitive plans already in motion.
  22. I’m hoping they release this on Friday 9/15 and play it at that night’s concert. Perhaps is kinda stalling anyways and the quicker these holdover songs are put out the quicker we can get new stuff.
