  1. Agreed. Could never get into them. Every song is about either history, war or the history of war.
  2. Depends on the show. He was doing it more recently than 2013. Don’t recall it much back then. I’ve seen Jon perform live more times than I will mention here 😂 Ya know what’s crazy? All these sound issues now were nowhere to be seen or heard in the 80s and 90s so ask yourself what’s changed.
  3. With Steven, I’m not convinced the scream at the end of dream on isn’t prerecorded and played back at the point. He always messes with his IEM right before he’s about to hit that scream. Also the interesting placement of the fog machines going off just as he’s hitting that note as to almost disguise the fact that he’s not singing live at that exact moment.
  4. Houston, MetLife night 1 and Glendale. Best NA shows in 2016 from top to bottom.
  5. They should drop a two song CD with Hard Skool and Absurd and call it GnR’s Greatest Shitz
  6. Just adding my two cents here. There’s going to be a digital release of The General, especially if the band has rehearsed this song in some capacity to play live. We’re not talking about The Seeker or Wichita or (insert any other cover that will never be properly recorded and officially released by Guns).
  7. Anyone notice the shot of Axl throwing up the hand gesture in this photo https://pagesix.com/2023/08/17/private-party-for-guns-n-roses-axl-rose-floods/ is the same hand gesture that was used as the alternate cover of CD?
  8. The reality is he hasn’t sounded good in a a long time. Has nothing to do with camera phones, recordings, mix issues at the venue, venue acoustics etc. For me, it kills the experience, but that’s just me. I don’t expect others to feel the same way. It is what it is at this point. I do feel though at the end of the day, if people leave a show satisfied, that’s all that really matters.
  9. Nobody can actually with a straight face that he sounds good, right?
  10. “They” would not have told us already if Axl had Covid. “They” do not have a reliable management/marketing team. “They” haven’t even publicly posted about the cancellation on any of their official socials. “They” don’t care.
  11. He wasn’t working with Ron consistently during those “bad” moments.
  12. I wish Yoda were still around to conjure the spirit of Ron Anderson from beyond the grave to fix this vocal catastrophe.
  13. Because nobody in the band has the balls to tell him just how awful he sounds and give him direction that’s why.
  14. This is what always made me wonder if he can still pull it off live but he’s purposely doing to preserve his voice. But you could also say the songs he recorded with his preserved voice on CD he still can’t sing properly live anymore. The last two major interviews Axl had were safe interviews. Nobody dove too deep into anything with him. I’d spend a good hour asking him questions about his voice and singing technique. Because it always seems to dramatically change.
  15. Was just about to post this. I think the reviewer is spot on.
