  1. Not a volume difference. He’s just not singing the high notes. The actual live mix itself is pretty clear.
  2. Not necessarily because my “industry friend” is actually a renowned guitar player. on a side note and completely unrelated, I saw Guns security handing out orange guitar picks to some people and I forgot to inquire as to what that was all about.
  3. I’m going to comment on this whole mixing situation. A lot of the times when you couldn’t hear Axl sing was because he wasn’t singing. You could hear duff and Melissa clear as day. Melissa’s main job is to fill in for Axl. It’s painfully obvious and I think it’s also hindering the overall band performance because the energy(Axl’s voice) just isn’t there anymore. I was in the pit, in a suite and on the side of the stage from a sound perspective, there was no change. Axl can’t get to those notes anymore. And regarding Slash, my industry friend made an awesome comment last night. The way Slash has been playing lately is like giving a kid a crayon and a piece of paper and watching him just doodle nonsense. not here to bash anyone just pointing out certain things that are painfully obvious to anyone who’s watching.
  4. You must be joking. The pretenders were better than guns last night
  5. I was actually agreeing with your post. I was just pointing out that people were gouging pit prices right up until the end. The entire industry today is a joke. The promoters/ artists keep trying to justify these prices based upon lost revenue from Covid. The amount of greed that is going on right now is over the top.
  6. Resale pit tickets on Ticketmaster were going for $800+ literally 10min before the band took the stage.
  7. Axl just can’t do it anymore vocalwise Slash was sloppy as all fuck. Duff was the one holding it together tonight.
  8. Worst gig I’ve been to and this is my 50th plus time.
  9. Just act like you’re not a fanboy/girl. Then the radar goes up. It’s hard to explain. You have to act “normal” but also be aware of who you’re around and act accordingly if that makes any sense.
  10. The only way to get on their good side is to never flat out admit to being a “fan” of Axl or the band. I’ve been around them both and can attest to this.
  11. Y’all need to have some perspective. If this would have happened years ago, Axl would have flipped the fuck out and cancelled the rest of the tour. My guess is they have 4 songs left to release.
  12. This is probably their genius manager’s way of “giving something back to the hardcore fan base” by allowing it to leak in such a way the hardcore fan base would only find out, then pulling the leak and officially releasing it to the world on Friday and then simultaneously blaming fan backlash for being “ungrateful” just so they can say in the future that they gave us something but then we acted like spoiled children.
  13. Agreed. Original demo was great, like most of the original songs before they were overproduced. Poor Axl, everyone around him kept hounding him and reminding him that he would never be anything without slash that he actual forgot how talented he really was in those days. Always felt had CD been released in ‘99 as is was, it would have done very well.
  14. In all honesty, I think it’s a really good song. Definitely could have fit on Illusions. Only odd thing is it sounds a lot like Catcher which is another song that I feel could have been saved if the original lineup had recorded it.
  15. For the record, my good friend is in Vegas right now and after the shit hit the fan last night and I told him what was going on, he went to 15 different bars in 2 hours just to keep playing this song repeatedly.
