This new album is number 1 on the Billboard chart with 270,000 copies sold in its first week. Seems pretty impressive for a “cult band” as you put it. Also can’t say I recall Metallica or Dream Theatre outselling and out-charting Taylor Swift in recent memory.

As to the original post, Gene Simmons and Eddie Money being hot topics in this section is unfortunately indicative of where most tastes are at:facepalm:

250K copies three more times expensive than regular CD price.

I recently re-watched The Matrix and it has dated in the sense it is incredibly late-90s, all leather and sun glasses and techno-metal soundtracking. There is an obligatory nightclub scene of course.

That's precisely what made The Matrix great and why it doesn't make sense to make a comeback movie in 2021.

2 and 3 are not canon anymore, apparently.

They’re pulling a Terminator and doing the whole “2 and 3 never happened” thing.

Terrible idea. Hollywood is truly lost.

I liked the trilogy, yes the first one is better than the rest, but it's all good fun. The matrix arc was completed. I think the adult-nerd culture nowadays take them way too seriously.

But making another movie two decades later is a bit ridiculous. I just don't care what is canon and what is not in their mind, it won't change mine.

Because according to Adam Jones they need a proper packaging for the music because it's incomplete otherwise

Few had the luxury to pay that much. Tool may release another version at regular CD price once the limited stock are depleted.

I still have my copy in plastic. I looked at several online stores and the CDs were going for at least $160.

If anything, this painting was just a flex by Epstein. It should put the rest the Clinton Derangement Syndrome opinion that Bill Clinton is the ringleader of anything and had Epstein killed.

Nobody ever mentions NXIVM and the people involved or even try to link it with the Epstine case. So little press this story has been swept under the rug.

  6. "The album will be available digitally, and in a special Limited Edition physical package that includes a CD in a tri-fold Soft Pack Video Brochure featuring a 4" HD rechargeable screen with exclusive video footage, a USB charging cable, a 2 watt speaker and a 36 page insert book and MP3 download card." A vinyl release will be announced soon.

  7. Cover art :

Adam Jones has recently revealed that the album revolves around the number 7, featuring seven tracks and clocking in at around 80 minutes.

"I took a picture pointing to the number seven while we were recording, and a lot of the riffs Justin [Chancellor, bass] and I brought in were in seven. You don't really go, 'I'm going to write a riff in seven!'

"You just write a riff and you count it out and it turns out to be in seven. Without being too descriptive about the concept, the main thing is that the seven-beat just kept coming up, and riffs in seven kept coming up. It was really weird!

"When we finished recording, I went to the guys and said, 'I think we should have called the record Volume 7' because a lot of the songs are in seven and there are seven tracks on the record.

"Then Maynard [James Keenan, vocals] told me about a whole concept he had about the number seven. We were all, like, 'Oh My God! This is too weird!' Then Alex Grey [Tool album artist] basically said the same thing and he has a concept that will reveal itself through video.

"So there are a lot of rhythms and polyrhythms where we explore 7/4 or 7/3, and there's a riff we count in 21 - which we count as three rounds of seven. I wrote a four-minute lead over something counted in 21, which is crazy!"

This is a pretty funny video. Hits the nail on the head on how Terminator can't help but recycle everything about itself. I can only imagine how much more is in Dark Fate that we've seen before in other Terminator films.

Cameron lost his integrity here. The guy wasted so much time he can'tdo anything any more so now we have to cope with his bullshit.

Let us forget the past three movies... but the irony is that the new trailer showed us they took elements from them.

Genisys was the start of a new Terminator franchise everybody jumped on the wagon and it failed miserably. Genisys was one of the worst sequel I can remember, all sticks and no carrots. It was just a bunch of miscasts with an oblivious and awful story.

“There is a pivotal scene at the start of the film where M says, “Come in 007”, and in walks Lashana who is black, beautiful and a woman,” the source said. “It’s a popcorn-dropping moment. Bond is still Bond but he’s been replaced as 007.”

    click bait article.

She will just pull Bond out of retirement in Jamaica, so they are entirely different characters.

I won't be calling her beautiful though.

Fox is terrible, except for Tucker Carlson. Best foreign policy takes on TV. Fox is basically all boomer zionist conservatism except for him

Tucker Carlson may have prevented war against Iran.

He heard from his generals and his diplomats. Lawmakers weighed in and so did his advisers. But among the voices that rang powerfully for President Trump was that of one of his favorite Fox News hosts: Tucker Carlson.

  11. Vivian wanted more. The whole line-up wanted more. Holy Diver is a classic.

Then they left and consequently Dio's popularity shrank.

Then Vivian joined Def Leppard, I presume he made lots of money.

Dio grew with a bitter heart. Look at his relationship with Ritchie Blackmore.

Also, keep in mind Vivian was only twenty years old at the time. The whole devil schtick tired him out. The 80's were good for heavy metal, all he wanted was fame, money and girls.

  12. Bumblefoot and Dj were in the band for only one reason, to duplicate guitar solos from past members.

Obviously, Bumblefoot was great on things that he wrote. I said that with Catcher In The Rye in mind. I'd say he successfully erased the memory of Buckethead on I.R.S. and If the World during the 2010 tour.

In a honest way, Dj Ashba was relatively good on Street of Dreams, This I Love, Sorry, Better and CD. The 'hit' songs. But he has never outperformed Robin Finck. I put Slash in the same box and I don't even mention There Was A Time.
