Axl's voice change from 93 to 2000 was not because of the break, it was because a surgery to romove nodules I think. Just see youtube audio when he sang dead flowers with Gilby in august 2000 (93 voice) and then 4 months later in House of Blues he sounded "cleaner" or mickey

The YouTube audio is not actually from the 2000 show. No audio of that exists. A good few videos label as that for clickbait.

First Fozzy song i've heard and was pleasantly surprised that it's an alright little tune.

    Question about Jericho's voice:

He sounds like absolute shit on his podcast when he tries to sing or scream anything. The vocals on this song sound like they are produced to absolute fuck. So I looked for live versions and it's hard to hear him well under all the background/playback vocals but he again sounds auto-tuned and reverbed to fuck.

Can he actually sing at all or is he just playing rockstar because he can?

Pull up Remains Alive on Youtube. Live album from about '06. That's Jericho's version of Axl's 2010. If you think he sounds like shit there, he's always gonna sound shit live to you.

I think he can be good in studio but live...ehh. Sometimes.  Kinda playing rockstar.

Yeah it's good, but far from their best. Would have been one of the weaker songs on Sin and Bones and might not even have made Wanna Start a War. Still a catchy listen, good first single to hook new fans, and I'm looking forward to the rest of the record.

Honestly sounds like a Wanna Start A War reject.

Fozzy at their best is pretty good. I don't rate Jericho much as a live performer, but I always dig the records. Chasing the Grail is my favorite, followed by Sin and Bones and Wanna Start A War. But there's gems on Happenstance, too. All That Remains should have sold way more than it did, especially with Zakk involved.

Good NuGNR related story, Bumblefoot gifted Rich Ward the equipment to record Chasing the Grail with.

Yeah thats me,  updating on that ...a couple of months after i gave that update i found like 80% of the work that a friend that was helping me with that saved on another hard drive (i wasnt even aware of that) and the stuff is still there. I would like to complete that one day since from what i remember we were at like 70% of having a complete show + an intro documentary and it was looking really good. As with a lot of things, problem is finding time go ahead and complete that

I might upload that 70% to youtube or vimeo and call it done also, just need to get togheter with this friend of mine that has the files

crappy preview from back then here:

Would love to see that finished one day - 2010 is my favorite vocal year and I love watching videos from that tour.

Is there any proof of the House of Blues show being professionally filmed? was there cameras there that night?

I still remember when that thread popped up and the guy had posted two still images of Axl and Finck from that show supposedly.

Those photos weren't from the DVD. They were just rare pictures taken that night by a photographer. As far as I know, there is no proof it exists.

I'm sure that new music will come out at some point, but I'm very sceptical that the time would be now. That soundcheck song is probably just some kid of a guitar solo. Sounds a little bit like some kind of a version of Come Together or something. Obviously I hope to be wrong. There's nothing I would like as much as a new GNR song right now.

Yeah, I wouldn't get hyped either. I've heard all kinds of shit when bands try to soundcheck

Sometimes it's songs, sometimes they just randomly riff at shit to make sure everything sounds alright.

That being said, it would be awesome.

i remember watching the periscope of this song and thinking it was one of his better performances of it. I just rewatched it and it's still excellent, there's so much bite in his voice compared to normally on this track, excellent vocals here

I don't really say it often at all, because some people say 30 seconds of rasp is ungodly, blah blah.

But that right there sounds like Axl from the 90's. Not so much the very start, but after the verses he just goes into a growl that reminds me of his 90's approach to powering through songs.

I meant specifically for the 4 times that "You're Crazy" was performed in 2006.

Some of those shows have boots / recordings but they are all incomplete and do not include that song.

Not true. I saw an acoustic Crazy from a 2006 club show on YouTube. Will CSI and update.

Are you sure? Can you give a link to some performance of Better from that era, that would've been drastically better than those of today. Cause if you ask me he hasn't sounded very good on those verses since 2010. I certainly wouldn't rank it as one of his stronger songs from that era.

And no I'm not here complaining about his voice. Just curious to know what was so special about Axl's Better performances from the 2011-2014 era.

There isn't anything special about them. He sounds the same from 2011-now on Better. It's a comparison thing. He always nails the bridge so that stuck out in 2011-2014. He's nailing songs now he didn't then, so Better looks worse in comparison.

When, where and how did you even hear it?

I went to a concert in early 2010 and knew none of the songs. (I recognized Jungle and Sweet Child)

When Sorry hit, I was capitvated by Axl's performance. I just looked up at the stage, I was on the rail, and thought to myself "This motherfucker thinks he's king of the world."

And in that moment, I believed him.  That sent me off to learn about GNR, which branched me into the Stones, Zep, Skid Row, Elton, Queen, Bowie. GNR started my love for music. With a live performance of Sorry.

I'm set for myself anyway. I'm just trying to get a ticket for a friend who lives here and wants to go with me.

I do do want to meet up with anyone on here who is going to the show though.  Do we have a name of a bar yet anyone?

Not got a name yet bt I figure we'll be at the bar in about an hour and a half or so. Once I see a name of the place I'm looking for, I'll pass it down. If you find somewhere first, let me know
